Most difficult experience ever with automotive repair. Tried to schedule my appointment online. Found the tires I wanted, cheap because money is TIGHT. Site said available for install, ya, doesn't mean NOW and I get that. Scheduled my appointment for the first available. By the time I was done, site said schedule conflict. Basically someone else took the time slot from what I can gather.... Not a problem, let's just pick another.... And another.... Three time later I just picked a day further out. Day after day"tomorrow" should do. And all was set. I called the store number listed on my confirmation to confirm some things about the discount tire credit card. Not a working number. Whatever, figure it out when I get there. Day of, show up early to avoid any payment issues, the credit card question I had earlier. Gentleman was not rude, but let's be honest, I'm the customer right? Don't sigh or whatever like I'm interrupting your free time or something. Anyway, pulls up my appointment and casually says, "these tires you ordered won't be here till later this afternoon." Wait, why are they not here? Three days notice? Whatever, went to see the car and before we even got to it he stops. Drops his hands, slumps and tilts his head. "You only ordered two tires" he says. "Ya, I only need the front, rears are new" (remember money is tight). "That's all wheel drive. I can't replace just two." The end. So here is what I know. I can take these two tires off, walk them into the shop, and have them replaced. Take them home and put them back on my car. So, not can't.... Won't. You know what else won't ? We bring all our cars to this location for service. We can always count on John and his staff. Awhile back my brakes were squeaking. I was afraid they were going out. They checked and said they were fine. Another shop might have taken advantage, saying I needed new brakes. Today, my daughters car needed service: rotation & balance and oil change. They finished early and called to report that everything checked out well. We always make an appointment but they're good about squeezing you in if it's an emergency situation. This post is way overdue, but so deserved! I have been to this store twice in the past few months. Once to get the brakes fixed on my van and the other time was today to get a tire repaired. Both times I was treated like a royal customer. The first time Art was the man who helped me out. I left the van there to have the brakes done, Art said he would call when it was competed. The next thing I know is I get call from Art, who advises me that the brakes were fine and the van did not need any repairs. He double checked the tires and brakes and I went and pick up the van. Amazing customer service! Today, my son and I took his tire in there because it had a small hole in the tread. We arrived at 4:30 and John helped us out. I asked him if they could fix the tire and he gladly said yes! He mentioned the associate was working on an alignment at the time, but would do it as soon as he was finished. The associate was working his a$$ off and literally running around doing his work! Next thing I know, the associate is bringing back the repaired tire and advised it was patched up! John is a first class human being and should be commended for his customer service and attention to detail. The cheap oil change should have been my first red flag. Pay more somewhere else and eventually won't be out more money in the long run!!! Took my car to Discount Tire & Service Centers for an oil change. They called me and told me my rear brakes and serpentine belt needed to be changed so I gave them the go ahead to change it ($400+ for both) At 5:45pm I called and asked about my car because they would be closing at 6. They said they were really busy and that the manager was going to start working on my car but I could still get it later on. 15 minutes later they called and said my car was ready I rarely drive my car, 2 days later the belt started making the really loud noise again and my brakes were still squeaking but not as bad. The belt was under warranty so I called and brought it in. My mom and my boyfriend were wondering if they even changed my belt in the first place but never checked before I brought it in a 2nd time. The manager said, oh I worked on your car... I had to Youtube it .. calls me back a few hours later and said underneath the belt which they didn't test for originally has now ripped apart my "new belt".. seems like a VERY ODD coincidence that the last 12 years it's never done that to my belt but not even two days after I leave their shop my belt is now ripped due to something underneath it. Humble up and let me know there was an error and make it right!!! They now want another $440 to fix underneath but I said no, just put on the new belt and I'll come get my car. Picked up my car and the manager didn't say a word to me while giving me my keys Literally felt so uncomfortable but I was not about to give them more money to possibly ruin my car some more. So now I'm afraid to drive my car thinking the belt will rip again or if they did something more to my car because they're mad I wouldn't pay more money. I drove my car home and now it just sits there. Thinking I have to take it to another more reliable shop for a diagnostic to see what actually happened. read more

I had a nail in my tire and was able to get it fixed right away. I also get oil changes here and they do a great job at an affordable price.

I popped my tire and needed to get it fix before i went to work. When I got there I was welcomed by two friendly faces saul and rouben. I told them how I needed to get to work in 45 minutes and they were able to provide speedy and accommodate to my cars needs. I would highly recommend coming to this shop! read more

I am truly disappointed. My 18 year old daughter took her car in because the brakes were squeaking. They cleaned them instead of replacing them. She took it back only for them to tell her she needed new ones . They took advantage of her $500.00 for the first trip and asked $300 more to replace them. Now she can't afford to replace them. What happened to great customer service, honestly and valuing customers. Maybe if the service was great and the work honest. People would go back and give good reviews and recommendations. Been a faithful customer here for over 17years. All my cars have lifetime alignment agreements and I always purchase my tires and recommend them.NOT ANY MORE!....... Went in today to have my tires switch from my offroad to my winter set and they refused! I don't know if it's new management new people or what but the person behind the counter was extremely rude. When I asked why he wouldn't switch my tires he said " not unless you buy them here new" I did buy them there! So I asked to get my truck aligned and he said " it's to long we cant do it" I have been having this truck aligned at this shop every 6months for years and now they refuse! Even with my lifetime service agreement. I will be calling corporate and seeing what I can do now. But I will not recommend this place ever again! Stay away from this place. They are not honest and will try to take your money. I am very disappointed on this place. I came here originally because of their good reviews. I took my car in for an oil change today 12-29-18. When I picked it up, my service advisor Christian, informed me about needing a tune up and windshield wipers needed to be replaced because they were "torn". I found this to be interesting because I just did a tune up on the car about three months ago and replaced the wipers at the same time. His response was that they based their recommendation for the tune ups based on the miles. You're going to tell me that you did not even bother to check my car and determined if I really need a tune up or not, and you are going to charge me for it regardless? After I paid, I went outside to check the wiper blades and I saw the passenger blade to be out of the wiper. This is strange because I just used the wipers yesterday when it was super foggy and they were fine. I noticed that all I had to do was just put the blade inside the groove and they were ready to go again. Strange that all of a sudden they were out and I didn't notice this when I dropped it off. I called Christian and asked him to come outside. I took the blade out of the grove and showed home how it was. I told him " you guys are a professional place and you are going to tell me that your guys did not examine the blade and were able to tell that it is brand new, no cracks, not dried up due to the sun and by the way, not "torn" like you said? All you need to do is put it back on the groove. All I can think of, is what would of happen if this case was with an elderly man or women that has no idea about this, and gets ripped off by this guys? We trust you guys to put your hands on our vehicles and you're going to be dishonest and take money away from us when we work hard to earn that money? This is not right. read more

I have the worst experience with discount tire. About two weeks ago I called into the one 800 customer service and placed an order for 4 tires that were not in stock. The representative told me they would be available mid week but I made the appointment for Saturday since that was the only day I was able to come in. When I showed up to discount tires John told me that he did see my tires at the shop but they weren't there anymore after further investigation he let me know that those tires were sold to another customer. He apologized and said that he would order the new tires to come in on Monday. I had mentioned to him that I would be able to come in on Saturday to get them installed. So I show up on Saturday and they only have two tires available. John had also mentioned that he would put a hold on them with my name so that the tires would not be sold again. I'm so disappointed. Such a waste of my time. This is the first time dealing with them and the last. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

After much searching and being quoted over $600 Darrin took care of me with Pirelli P7s I didn't feel like I was being sold something rather than being helped or solutioned to this tire. He asked me what I was concerned with from the start and also hit my budget number. After the sale he wanted to hear what I thought of them and requested me to call him back. Got a 3 year alignment warranty on two trucks, $70 for each alignment and $60 for each 3 year warranty. Specifically asked if this warranty covers me if I replaced tie rod ends, ball joints etc etc front end parts I just come back and they realign it. Steven told me yes it does. So I replaced the rack and pinion and take it in and they tell me I need to pay $90 to reinstate the warranty as I did work to my truck. Only reason I paid it is I had to get it aligned because I live an hour away. When I replace the ball joints on my other truck forget them, I will just go somewhere else and get a one time alignment. read more

Don't be fooled by the name like I was -- these guys do a lot more than that. Came in for a tire rotation, thinking I had to spend hours to go somewhere else for oil change, brakes, the works, at a later time (also known as my next day off) and found out that's not the case! Not only can they take care of my tires but everything else I needed done! Thank goodness! Because let's be honest, who wants to spend a whole week thinking about their to-do list for the next weekend? Service is very professional without being stuffy. The gentlemen that work the store all genuinely want to help you and walk you through the process of everything that needs to be done and why. I'm not going to lie and say I know anything about cars except that I like old ones because they're beautiful so that's helpful for me to know in future to spare my car (and my wallet) the pressures of not keeping up maintenance. Being closer to Old Town Clovis and away from the main streets in town, you might not see as much traffic at this location but if you want friendly service and quality work, skip some of the other shops and go a few blocks over. I called Discount and asked if they had time to do an alignment. They said yes, bring it on down. Once I arrived about 3pm, they told me they didn't have time, since I installed leveling kit. They also told the price would be double the normal price. Their pricing sheet indicated an extra 20 dollar charge for lifted vehicles. That would have been fine. But, double? Come on..drove down the street to Les Schwab. They had no issue with the leveling kit and no extra fake charges. read more
