On a road trip and realized I hadn't checked the air pressure on my motorhome. Drove in and was greeted by an extremely friendly gentleman at the counter, who immediately ran outside, checked the air pressure and got them to a safe level for our trip. Took my very old truck here for an alignment. They called and gave me almost $3,000 in suspension repairs it supposedly needed. They told me the front strut was leaking and even showed me a picture of what they called the leak. I brought it home to look at it myself. The 'leak' was not the strut, it was a ripped cv boot that caused it. They didn't say anything about the cv boot but they were willing to stick me for $3,000 in a new suspension. I have used this location for other things in the passed but never again. If you're going to have them do any repairs, you better get a second opinion. SIX years later, I still haven't changed the suspension and the truck is just fine. I took it to the competitor and they agreed it was totally unnecessary. read more

I have been coming to the location for years, my last appointment was a tire rotation. They called and found some loose front end parts. I told them to replace any parts needed. I am now back to re align my truck and have them grease the new parts as they did not grease anything. No refund or apology was offered, I shouldn't have to crawl under my truck to double check work and make sure new parts are greased. I recommend checking all work after coming here. I'm not sure what changed in the last year but this location is not the same. *Revised* Went in today for a second time and still did not grease the inner tie rod. The part did not come with a grease fitting. I had to buy my own fitting and grease it myself. Not satisfied with the $600+ in work I had done. read more

This is the second year in a row that they have tried to upsell me on snow tires/chains for the UDOT Cottonwoods sticker program. Both years they have told me I do not have M+S tires, which I very much do, and this year they also tried to tell me that a 7/32in tread depth was required when really it's a 5/32 minimum requirement. I do not recommend coming here unless you enjoy correcting employees on something they should know. read more

Came on my lunch hour for what I assumed would be a quick tire rotation service, it wasn't quick in the least. Granted there were some people ahead of me who were waiting, two others in the waiting room. There were probably about 3-4 technicians bustling around. They did act like they were busy, I was trying so hard to be patient and wait my turn. After I was waiting for a bit I saw the sign that you can schedule an appointment. Hopefully in the future I can do that and avoid the waiting game. Anyway, I'll try to figure out the appointment thing next time. read more

I walked in at 11 on a Thursday and they told me there were 10 ppl ahead of me and suggested I make an appointment for another time. So when I came back a couple days later with an appointment, it was only an hour and a half to get new tires and an alignment. I wasn't planning on the alignment but they pointed out that my snow tires had worn unevenly. I'm so glad they did because my car is so much less scary to drive now . Great experience! I had a couple screws lodged in my back tire making for a slow leak. I usually go to Discount Tire for my tire needs, but when I went in for this the kid just measured my tread depth and recommended I get 4 new tires when all I was trying to do was take the screws out of my tires. Went to Les Schwab where they said they could do it for $21. They got me in fairly quick and when they said it was done told me I didn't owe them for anything! Might've been a small thing, but just from this experience I'll be going to Les Schwab for all my future tire needs! read more

At the Draper, Utah location, bought tires for SUV rated at 60,000 miles and cost almost $1,200. I have got them rotated every 5,000 miles as required. Last rotation front tires were wearing unevenly and they rotated them and did not tell me I needed an alignment and also marked on the paperwork that there was no uneven tire wear. The evidence of inner tire wear was clearly on the tires they had moved from the front to the rear and it was obvious when you get on the ground you can see it. The person rotating the tires would have to be blind not to see it. When I came back to get an alignment the person helping me looked like he wanted to fight me when I told him they rotated the tires with clear wear on one side of the tires and did not say anything or suggest an alignment. They just let me keep driving on them and now wearing the other two tires unevenly and throwing away a lot of money if I hadn't noticed the front tires starting to wear unevenly. When I noticed it I took it back to get an alignment. You can only do toe in or toe out adjustments on this SUV for the front end as the camber/caster is factory set the technician told me. And to top it off they left the steering wheel uncentered. Cost almost $140 to do a "toe" adjustment and they didn't even bother to make sure the steering wheel was centered. Who does that? Obviously, Les Schwab does. I asked the technician if they could rotate the tires while it was up in the air and he said no, that requires another 1 hour appointment. Talk about poor service. The tires are also definitely not rated at 60,000 miles I have driven them for 17 months 18,000 miles and they are getting close to the tire wear bars. Will be lucky to get 22,000 miles. Not hard on them, always inflated correctly, rotated on time and no off road use. I can just hear their excuses if I were to try to get new tires from them with a pro-rated discount from the horrible life on these $1,200 tires, something like, well look at the tires they are wearing unevenly due to you not doing an alignment so we can't pro-rate anything. Even though they failed to suggest an alignment when they saw the uneven tire wear! When I bought these new tires I had asked them to check the batteries on the TPMS/tire pressure monitoring system in each tire because my TPMS light was on. They changed two of them for around $140! The tires were already off the rims so there was no extra labor and they still charged me full price. What a rip off. Then two weeks after they changed two of them the other two went bad. They did not even check the battery levels on the other two that I had asked them to check. They told me they were fine. I had to pay all over again for two more. I don't expect perfection but come on, let's get the product and service that we are paying for! Les Schwab has really gone down hill over the last few years. Not going there anymore. read more

Went in with a flat lawn tractor tire. They broke wheel down & found many holes in tube from one nail in tire. They discounted the tube and didn't charge labor for breaking wheel down. Next day was 100°f so I took a case (12) of Gatorade into their shop. They were that nice. Not impressed with this location, and I am originally from Oregon, home of les Schwab, where they literally run to help. Profit sharing must be different at this location. My car still had the same warning light on when they offered me my keys back and told me it was done. They then mentioned that they often get audi's with warning lights (correct, which was why I was getting new tires) Clearly the guy reading my manual couldn't figure it out since I was returned my keys for a second time, again being told it was completed. I went in for a flat repair and the men were very friendly and willing to help. I greatly appreciate this shop but I do feel bad for the employees who have to work in 20 degrees without any heaters. I noticed all other tire shops have heat and doors closed in winter-- except for this place. I feel bad for the employees which is why i only gave them 2 stars. It's cold. Typical large chain store. Try will gladly sell you tires but customer service is terrible. They sold me a set of tires that were the wrong size. I live 4 hours away so depend on them getting things right. The tires wore unevenly and cupped. I had to replace them at another tire store due to the loud noise they were making. When I returned to this store to let them know what happened(accompanied by a letter from the other tire dealer explaining the problem) they basically said "too bad". I would never buy tires here again and advise anyone to avoid this place. read more

Did an excellent job replacing brakes. Maybe a little higher cost than average. Impressed with the large parking area, this would be the place for bringing our motorhome for work. Only complaint was the grease left on carpet and door, which wife noticed immediately. read more

Great service. I took my atv trailer in for new tires. Explained I wanted a better tire than what the trailer came with. They gave me options on radial tires and since I don't carry any heavy loads they recommended the 6 ply which I bought. They could have recommended the 8 ply for more money and I would have bought them. I appreciate not being oversold. They got the trailer in right away and the total time I was there was 35 minutes. I recently went in for brake work. Their quote was over a $1000. It seemed excessive. So I got a second opinion. I was able to get my brakes repaired for less that $400. Obviously I won't be back. With that outrageous quote it seems as if Les Schwab's salespeople are working for commissions (and not for the customer). There are many auto repair shops out there. Travis at this location is beyond a hero. I borrowed my friends car and somehow managed to get a screw in it. Go me. I showed up at Les Schwab approximately 20 minutes before it opened. He let me in and got me set up right away. He removed the screw and escorted me to my car and wished me to have a great day. Zero charge! I know my friend did not even buy his tires at Les Schwab. This place is amazing. Every time I have brought either my car or my wife's van they literally run from the garage to the parking lot to greet you and ask how they can help you. The service you get is no different, top notch. On a business trip I had a Hertz rental vehicle with the right rear tire going flat, I assumed Hertz would handle, wrong. I then stopped at a Les Schwab in Idaho and they not only immediately fixed the flat, but then told me it was free of charge. What??? After that I vowed my next set of tires I would buy from this company. Old fashioned great service. Free tire repair, free tire rotations, free air checks, I like free. But I especially like when you visit a business and they make you glad you did and let you know through their actions they appreciate your business. read more

I love Les Schwab. I try to do all my car related fixes there. I have always been treated kindly and with honesty. I had a flat, and needed new breaks, they fixed both and only charged me for the breaks. They know what good customer service does for a brand. I've been to a few different locations and I can expect a pretty solid experience regardless of where I am. I can't speak on behalf of any of these negative reviews, but my experience is always great. Here's a trick, don't wait around for your car expecting them to take it in immediately! I dropped my car off before work in the morning, and picked it up after I left work later that day. I don't know if it took 8 hours or 30 minutes, it doesn't matter to me, because I was at work. This place is awesome. Really honest people. Glad to know there is still good guys out there not trying to rip people off. My break have been squeaking really bad when I stopped for the past month. I was willing to pay for whatever to get them fixed. They have a free brake inspection they checked them all out. Even cleaned them for me. They came back in told me they were just dirty and had tons of life left in the brake pad. I asked the guy how much i owe them he said nothing. Soon as I left the the squeaking noise had stopped. Dear Les Schwab; Jim was one of the greatest guys I had met in the tire business, until recently. He has shunned me, ignored me and started acting like I don't exist. I feel unwelcome. I have referred several accounts to him and he treats me so unprofessional that I will never return there again. I promise I will tell everyone I know to go somewhere else for their tire and service needs. I am a former ASE Certified Master Mechanic over 35 years experience and he had won my business and referrals. Now he will get neither. To bad, I needed some new tires for my truck. I have never had such a bad experience with a mechanic. I went in there to get front brake pads and they tell me I need to replace everything from front and back brake pads to rotors to calipers, etc. and it's going to cost me $1000. So I told him that was too much and I was going to get another estimate. So he puts my car back together and their is this large plastic thing hanging down from the front of my car. Then he lowers the car just leaving it as it was and starts driving out and it drags gets caught and almost gets ripped off the bottom of my car. I had to go out and stop him and he told me that he didn't do it. I told him that when I came in here it wasn't like that and he tried to lie and tell me it was but you could see that it hadn't been dragging before there were no marks on it and it made a loud noise when it did drag. So he reluctantly zip ties it to the bottom of my car instead of putting it back together the right way. I couldn't believe it I was so angry. I have been trying to get ahold of the manager and haven't been able too. I have also gotten 2 other bids on my brakes and they both said that I just need to replace the front brake pads and rotors. I would not recommend going here they are careless and dishonest, the 2 things you do not want from your mechanic. read more

I came in here the other day to have my tires rotated and have the brakes checked. Was told my brakes were less than 3mm and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. Was quoted over $800 for only front brakes!! Quote covered pads, rotors, calipers and labor. I graduated college at the Universal Technical Institute with a degree in Automotive Service and have experience in the field. Just moved to this state though so I don't have any of my tools and trusted Les Schwab to take care of me. Clearly I made a mistake because they attempted to swindle me and cheat me for all I was worth. I don't need calipers, I don't need rotors as there is no vibration when I brake so that means my rotors are not warped. Checked the pads myself and found they were actually at 5mm and no where near in need of replacement!!!!! I am deeply disgusted with my treatment at this establishment and I will never be returning to any Les Schwab and will be recommending other people avoid it like the plague. Automotive Service should be fair and honest for everyone. Not just the people who look like they may know they're being cheated. Disgusting. read more

An unfortunate loss of tire pressure while driving to get groceries led to a roadside inspection. A cursory overview showed no signs of a penetrating foreign body to my tires, so I finished the trip and returned home. I inspected the tires again as I checked air pressures and topped them off, as I figured the cold weather could be the culprit. Alas, a nail in my front driver's side tire glared at me menacingly. I drove to Les Schwab in Draper to get some help. The representative at the front desk was prompt, professional, and courteous. He took my keys and said it would be just a few minutes. Indeed, a short wait later, a technician appeared with my keys and informed me that the repair had been completed and there would be no charge. He also informed me that I would want to consider new tires in the near future, but did not pressure me into a sale but thanked me for coming in and said they would be happy to help me when I needed a new set of tires. read more

We stopped into Les Schwab in Draper, and even though the location was closed, Adam not only fixed our tire for us, but did it for free in about 5 minutes.
