One afternoon I got a nail in my front passenger tire and decided to take it in to get patched. Although hesitant I made a leap of faith. After waiting for over an hour for a patch on my tire I thought the experience was mediocre at best. However then things got worse... I drove back to work and had 3 lugs come off on the free way. 3 lugs!! What a joke. I immideiately called them and all the did was apologize. I started telling people around town only to find out this is not the first time it has happened. brought my brand new rims and tires in and when I picked them up there was deep oil stains in my white walls. the so called manage looked very unprofessional and was unable to clean them. when I looked closer, there were foot prints also imbedded in the white walls. this was obv sabotaged by one of their hater employees. read more

The tire was 145 dollars! for one tire! On a ford fusion! It's not a monster truck, it's an economy car! i called around and found expert tire which charged me almost half as much for the same size tire. While the staff was friendly (i think because people are happy to rip you off), and the service was speedy i would not recommend this place unless you enjoy being highway robbed. read more

On the morning of New Years Eve I woke up to discover a flat tire. We had driven almost 900 miles over two days with a slow leak. We were so fortunate that it wasn't a blow-out and that we were with family when it was discovered. The next stop (after inflating it again) was Les Schwab. My nephew told me "they good here, it's not like in LA where everyone is trying to hustle a quick dollar." I live in LA, am I a hustler? Anyways, they were great at Les Schwab. I was concerned about having to dish out a lot of money while on a vacation. But the price for two brand new tires was so affordable, I was amazed. The price was lower than any deal I could have made in LA. The tires were installed and we were on our way. They even inspected our two remaining tires and estimated how long we could drive them before they might need to be replaced. THEN, he printed out a quote for those tires and told me that I could take that to any other location and the price would be honored. So...the next road trip will be Bakersfield for bargain tires. Worst customer service experience I have ever had. They had me in tears, I have never been treated so terribly by a place where I'm paying them hundreds of dollars. I waited over 2 and a half hours to get 2 tires put on. When I tried to get the attention of staff they wouldn't even look me in the eyes and this is the only chain tire place to go to other than Costco. It's such a shame. THEY ARE CROOKS!!! We went into this location to get alignment work done and decided to get the oil changed while we were there. The work order that I signed listed for work for the alignment and said oil change service $35. $35 is a very normal amount for an oil change. Two hours later we returned and for various reasons they hadn't done the alignment work but had done the oil change. I was then charged $80 for the oil change alone. When I complained to the man ringing me up and said what the heck since when does an oil change cost $80 he said that I should have been informed what the cost was when I requested the oil change and called the manager. However, the manager is the one who gave me the work order that said and oil change was $35; which was apparently a LIE! The manager then had the gall to raise his voice at us for being upset that it cost $80 when the work order clearly said $35. We don't have a fancy vehicle and there is no reason why and oil change should EVER cost $80 unless you're driving a Ferrari, etc.! read more

So frigging slow! They used to come running out to greet you as you pulled in, get a slow leaky tire repaired in twenty minutes flat. Lately, times have quadrupled! Three hours for a brand new set of tires. Or, right now I've been sitting here for 40 minutes and my truck hasn't moved from the parking lot, today is the slow leak tire. Customer service is great, quality of work is decent, they seem to forget stuff often, prices are a bit high considering it isn't even local and they're always trying to push new tires on me (I assume they earn commission, so it's understandable) wouldn't patch a leaking tire because the tread was too worn, I only needed it patched for 4 days so I could come by some new ones from them on monday, still wouldn't do it. Took it to Tetrault and they told me I needed new tires (duh) but they still patched my tire for free (even though I didn't buy from them). so 3 stars Although this part can't be helped so I didn't include it in my star review, the wait times are always ridiculous and they don't take appointments, I've never had to wait less than 2 hours when getting something done. read more

I took my truck to be aligned and have the oil changed a month or so later my trucks alignment is off again because they overlooked a faulty part which caused my alignment to go out and the worker overfilled my oil causing a leak in my front and rear main seals, I have to pay 1500 to have the seals done for getting a 40 dollar oil change at this place,when I brought it to there attention they denied it being there fault but my truck said change oil soon not check engine oil level when I took it to them I will never do business with them again over this shadyness and I'm about to contract a lawyer, advise to all those who read do not take your vehicle to these idiot's unless you want to pay for needless repairs due to there negligence read more

Went here to get two new tires for my car. Ended up waiting about 3 hours which to me seemed to be a bit much. But then all was well and my car was good as new. Two weeks later I'm camping in Oregon with no cell service and see my tire pressure light come on. So I go around checking all the tire pressures and get to one of my back tires where the hubcap had been put back on incorrect. The mechanic had forced the hubcap on the wrong way and now part of it was digging into and ruining my tire. Obviously the mechanic was putting it on the wrong way, but to force it on the wrong way. Really? Needless to say I will not be bringing my car back here ever again and will be extremely wary of other les schwab tire centers. Was excited to modify my car and ordered a set of rims and tires. I signed the paper agreeing to the price and paid the 200$ order fee. A week later I get a phone call saying that the price would be higher actually. But that didn't sit right with me. I called back to speak to a manager and he said he would look into it and never called me back. I ended up giving my business elsewhere instead because you can't just decide to have a customer sign and agree to pay one price and then turn around and raise the price later on. Do not take your transportation here. They will leave bolts loose. I had a alignment done and they forgot to tighten my steering shaft where it connects to the rack and pinion. . It popped off while driving., I had no control , luckily I was on my dirt road going slow. I would of died if it happens on freeway. I took it back and they wanted to charge me for another alignment. This place was awesome. The service was quick, professional and reasonable!! I've never taken my car anywhere but the San Diego Lexus dealer. But when we realized the alignment was so bad (and possibly the brakes? Tires?) driving back from Oregon, I didn't have a choice-my son in Eureka said,"try Les Schwab" -since they didn't have a San Diego location I was hesitant to have work done that I couldn't follow through with. Les Schwab looked at my car and told me no problem with the brakes, they gave me the measurements, tires were fine, just the alignment and just a simple one-$56.00!! Friday afternoon before Labor Day we were towing our little trailer behind the motorhome with the kayaks and Samanthas bike on it. Samanthas bike wheel scooted off and wedged between the trailer and trailer wheel causing the tire to lock up and basically shred and tear up the trailer wheel and hub. And Samanthas bike was toast! We had it to have it flatbeded to Les Schwab in Eureka. Unfortunately they were unable to fix the trailer but one of the employees there Michael heard of our growing issues and offered a solution. He had a trailer he was no longer needing and would be happy sell if we were interested at a great price. We decided that was a great solution and it was a great little trailer. He then offered after he got off work to go get his trailer and bring it to the shop and load all the kayaks and old trailer into the new one and bring it to us!! At our camp sight! How great is that! He delivered the trailer to our camp as promised. Not only did he bring the trailer and our stuff but had suprised Samantha with a brand new bike! He said his boss didn't want her to be on vacation without her bike! Holy cow I still cannot believe it. They truely made a bad friday afternoon better. These guys work hard for you too, everyone is running around in a hurry to get stuff done in a timely manner and there was even another employee cleaning graffiti off of a city power box out front. We used to use Les Schwab for all of our tire needs but recently had a terrible experience about being misdiagnosed and quoted for repair when it was not actually needed, among other miscommunication. After we dropped our car off for two new tires and an alignment, we were called to pick up the car 5+ hours later; we were told that the car needed parts replaced and were handed a quote for $527. My husband, who has been a mechanic for over 24 years, knew that he could fix what needed to be replaced and were told to bring the car back for an alignment after the repair had been done within the week. Upon further inspection, the parts that we had been quoted to replace were not bent as the mechanic at Les Schwab had originally declared; we decided to take the car to another shop to have another opinion on paper, and they too confirmed the initial quote was a complete misdiagnosis. We later found out that the wheel locks had been missing and when we called to ask about them we were told that they broke them because the wheels were "on too tight"; seeming to insinuate blame on our part, which I found quite interesting because Les Schwab (specifically the Eureka location) has been the ONLY place to touch the tires on this car for the last decade or so for years before we purchased it from the previous owner. When I called to speak to the manager about the issues we were experiencing, he explained that after reviewing the videotapes he discovered that the mechanic misdiagnosed the problem and has "spoken to him about it" since. The manager assured me that he didn't fraudulently quote this repair, but rather it was done out of negligence on the mechanics behalf. He then explained how he ensures that the mechanic who quotes the repair will not be the same mechanic who executes the repair to protect the customer from such negligent or fraudulent repairs. This was quite concerning to me as it leads me to believe that this is not the first time this type of situation has occurred. He then told us that we signed the sheet that explained they had broken our wheel locks, when in reality we signed the credit card receipt and my signature was printed on the document that contained that information but it was not verbalized upon check out by the receptionist. The manager offered to "correct" the problem by replacing the wheel locks broken by his staff free of charge. I consider myself lucky to have a husband who is a mechanic to prevent us from being coerced into expensive and unnecessary car repairs, but I know many people who would have trusted the recommendation and have spent hundreds of dollars due to blatant disregard on the mechanics behalf. It is dishonest or careless acts such as what I have described above that give responsible mechanics a bad name for providing poor customer service. read more

I went there to get 4 new tires. I went to the used tire place really close to there and a guy smoking a cigar tried to sell me tires for about the same price! (Obviously trying to take advantage of someone who he thought he'd never see again) I decided to try Les Schwab out and I am sooo glad I did. I was traveling and needed some balancing done and had no problem getting help. The service was outstanding. While they did my tires, they diagnosed some other problems that they observed. I am subtracting one star because if how much they promote "siping". (With signs mostly) Google it. It's a scam. Also, they may try to add bells and whistles to some things. I think that the folks there do not have a choice as to what their corporate bosses want them to do which is to up sell. I usually say no to them and they never push it. Overall, I am stoked on the service and my tires get me the ladies, improve my social status, and are so magical, they make unicorns look like useless chihuahuas :D -a follow up. I had an alignment done and they have been extremely helpful in trying to diagnose what the problem is. Always helpful service. I changed it to 5 because it is not the locations fault that siping is pushed. Even though I am against it, it's not like they can change it. This morning I had a bad flat tire - ran over a curb. Called AAA, who had me back on the road in 20 minutes. I drove the 2 miles to your store on my little spare tire, pulled into the lot. Immediatly a young man ran out to greet me, asking me what he could do to help. I showed him the problem and asked to purchase a new tire. He took me into the office and got my information and we decided on the tire. Right away another young man came and got the car. Within a very short time I had a great new tire, air in all, and I guess they did some kind of alignment because the old girl drove like a new car. SUCH FABULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE! Les Schwab evidently treats its employees very well because they do a fantastic job for the company. Every person is professional and very fast. I am retired from Hewlett-Packard after many years in customer service where we were taught each customer was important. They made us feel like the most important customers of their day. My husband and I, and our two good friends took a road trip from Seattle down to LA back in May. Passing through Eureka we had an unexpected flat tire on our rental car and a local gas station referred us here. Although we arrived close to closing, everyone was more than happy to help us. They unpacked the entire trunk full of a weeks worth of luggage for four people to get to the flat tire (we had swapped the spare with the flat), added air, sealed the puncture and then reinstalled the fixed tire. All of it was complimentary! We had two very sweet young women help us at the front desk and several friendly gentlemen working on the car. Everyone was so nice and funny and friendly! My grandmother purchased tires at this store about two years ago and they have been driven on for 20,000 miles. When I brought her car in for a tire rotation today I was told that she needed to get new tires and that the ones on the car were "not that great." I didn't believe the bad reviews- now I'm joining Yelp to warn you they are true! They couldn't figure out how to open my hood, so they only did 1/3 of the alignment job and called to say the job was done, and they actually expected to be paid for a job that I was just gonna have to get done somewhere else because they didn't finish!
