Usually these guys are great but the last time I went in they left my car a complete mess. the steering wheel was sticky and filthy. the back area was pulled apart to access the battery (it's a Prius) and not put back together properly. stuff just thrown in haphazardly. Good for alignments and tires but don't let them quote you anything repair wise. I got quoted 600 for a wheel bearing a few months back when I scheduled for an alignment. So I had decided it was best to get a knuckle since they're $200. I got back in and get denied again for a "ball joint" on the NEW knuckle. Well turns out it was actually just a sway bar end link had gone bad and started moving and making noise. So basically I wasted $200 on a $20 end link along with time and hassle. read more

Should have taken my families word about doing business with Les Schwab. I bought 4 new tires at the Silverton store today. Service was horrible all the way through. Picked up my car to find all my tire pressures were under 19 PSI. Apparently they dont check any of their work and just throw tires on and send you out the door in danger. Will never recommend this location to anyone. read more

David and his team did it again. I brought my truck in for a lift, level, wheels, and tires. I got a 3 inch lift with David's recommendation and he helped me pick out the Method wheels I was looking for. My truck drives amazing and has an all new look. My friend & I were traveling through Silverton from a free days in Sisters & heading home to Vancouver. We stopped for a bite to eat & when we came out we had a flat. We called the Silverton Les Schwab & they were there in 15 min to fix our flat. They put on our spare & then we followed them back to their shop to have tire fixed & put back on, since our spare was a small tire. Everyone was friendly & helpful. We were back on road in no time. Took two vehicles to change from winter to summer tires. One of the cars needed new summer tires. Told technician and receptionist that the old summer tires with wheels were in the back of the vehicle. After 90 minutes another technician came out to tell me the wheels from the winter tires would not fit the summer tires I had just purchased. Duh! Then they realized that there were old summer tires with perfectly good wheels in the back. Took another hour to put winter wheels back on winter tires and put the new summer tires on. Really stupid people work here. You almost have to stand at the side of the bay and make sure that they are doing the right thing. You cannot assume after telling two workers, the information will be passed on to the actual people doing the work. read more

I have always trusted Les Schwab until I went to the Silverton location. As a small trucking company I spend alot at Les Schwab. They told my employee they would honor the warrenty before servicing. Then after mounting them they said that we didnt rotate and then denied even discussing it. read more

We got great service from the crew at the Silverton Les Scwab! We were on our way back from Bend, Oregon to Washington from a getaway, stopped in Silverton to eat. As we left the restaurant and backed up, the rear tire went flat! Turned out picked up a nail there. We call them and was told about an hour. They showed up within 15 minutes! We had a car full of stuff that we had to take out of the back to get to the spare and 3 dogs with us! He put the spare on and took our tire in his truck, we loaded back up and followed him. They were able to fix our tire and get us back on the road all within an hours time. read more

Avoid this place if you value your life and the lives of your passengers. This morning I went into Les Schwab to get new tires mounted on my wheels. Seems like an easy task for a tire shop right? Wrong. Not if you are as incompetent as this business. I was there three hours and watched an entire different group of customers come and go in the waiting room. When they finally finished, I went outside and immediately saw I was missing three of the ten screws from my front driver side wheel cap. In fact, I wasn't just missing them, they BROKE them OFF. They weren't capable of deciphering between the three real bolts that held the cap on, and the other 7 plastic (OBVIOUSLY PLASTIC) ones. So they damaged my property and pried them off. I called them out on it right away, at first he said he could fix the problem in a week. I told him that wasn't going to work. Then he asked if I could give him an hour, which I was fine with since I just waited three. I left and came back in after they called. They came out with my cap, which now has glued screws... is that quality work?? HAHAHAHA ...no it isn't but I can roll a little on the side of ghetto, whatever. I don't poop rainbows and neither do you. You know the saddest part about it? If the kid who pried off my screws stopped at the first one he broke, and told a manager what he had done, the manager probably would have been able to hid it enough so I didn't notice to begin with!! But he didn't, so I left after they reattached my ghetto cap with glued screws. It's cool. Ignorance is bliss. New employees need proper training and oversight. What's the on-boarding process here, is there one? Or is on-the-job education a mystical creature, cousin to the unicorn? This kid was probably thrown in the pit like a nut to a squirrel in the dead of winter. I will say, the attitudes of the employees was never an issue, Toni at the front desk was nice and understanding. I wasn't yelling or anything, shyt happens, right? Right. About two hours later I heard a HORRIBLE racket coming from my front passenger wheel while driving. I pulled to the shoulder and prayed I wouldn't get nailed by a drunk driver and smeared across the highway like a baby Sasquatch learning to walk the day before Christmas Eve. I inspected my wheel but didn't see anything wrong. Why would I though, I don't work on tires and wheels everyday, I seriously had no clue what I thought I would see. I got back in the truck and drove about 20 ft before stopping again, it sounded like my wheel was about to fly off and kill mama Sasquatch. It was a full on war zone. I pulled over for a second time, and unscrewed my cap without breaking any more screws - girl power. When I removed the cap, one of the bolts fell to the ground! WHAAA???! A bolt that attaches my wheel to my truck was flying around inside the cap like a hijacked Prius. The store had closed for the day so I couldn't call them. They are closed the next two days for Christmas. I was suppose to leave to drive down to San Diego before they will reopen, but now what? They've left me stranded over Christmas, thanks guys. They have made my truck UNSAFE to drive. I do not understand how a place like this stays in business. Endangering their customers. So now what do I do? How many opportunities am I going to give them to screw up? How many others have and will go through this? I can't believe I PAID for this type of service. I will never recommend Les Schwab. I actually gave two stars because the employees did what they could after the mistake, which I appreciated. They don't give free beef anymore : ( read more

Wow- $124 to repack wheel bearings with grease on a small boat trailer! Felt like I got ripped off yesterday and was given no "heads up" of big price jump. I've had this same job done at schwab in the past for for 1/2 the price at other places still charge about $65-70. I've spent lots of money on tires at this store and appreciate their service but I felt the cost for this simple bearing repack was way out of line. Mike B read more

I've had sets of tires done for 4 different vehicles over the years, had batteries changed, had many small flats repaired on a variety of tires and I think the service has been excellent. Thanks for the years of great service, and I think nothing has changed much over the years. I came in to the shop this morning 20 minutes before they even opened. They immediately came out to help me and ask what I needed. I had newish tires that I purchased elsewhere, one of them simply had a leak. 15 minutes later they had my tire fixed and they didn't even charge me for the service. After I refused to pay for the service (battery replacement), Management sent technicians out to the location where the install was completed to remove the battery because I failed to respond timely to his recorded voicemail message "within 3 minutes". I suppose that is OK with me because I did refuse to pay the added on charges. However, Les Schwab left access doors on my equipment wide open to the elements on a rainy Saturday and did not return and reinstall my original battery. So I returned to equipment with doors wide open and missing a battery. I certainly do not blame them for taking back the merchandise but feel that they should have put me back to where I was before if they were going to handle the situation in such a way. Also now I am out a $26 core charge for the new battery I purchased because I had no way of supplying a core. Live and learn I suppose. Consumers beware. read more

When you see the manager Jeremy, swearing at employees, as well as senior employees swearing. As well as seeing the manager driving customer cars while on his cell phone. People do see this! I also brought my car in for a rotate, they finished and I couldn't get a clear answer on how everything looked. It took multiple employees to be asked. And still couldn't get any answers. I have what sounds of a wheel bearing going out and they didn't test drive it or check. Must be more of the quantity and not quality at this location. Won't return to this location. I'll spend the time and money In Salem. read more
