    Chorizo Mac and Cheese

Solid food in a relaxed environment! My partner and I came after a comedy show in the area and were impressed by the menu - we had trouble choosing!! We both agreed the Mac and cheese was our favorite, albeit a little greasy. Would return to try other bites!

GET THE DAVID CLUB SANDWICH! Please! I don't even eat meat often! I hate chicken, but this looked so good, so I decided to splurge! The sandwich is stacked and so tasty! The chicken is moist and flavorful! Absolutely devoured my lunch! The service was also spectacular and the perfect lokey spot for a sunny afternoon! Kinda felt like I was in the south if that makes sense! Really loved the vibe and the staff were supper attentive and nice! Highly recommend. My only con was that some of my fries weren't fully cooked, but that is it! Love it!! Will be back!!

Every time before last night I had been to New York City, I've only ever had my visits in Manhattan. This was my first time in Brooklyn. I had come to the city to go to a stop on the Light Places Tour as I had purchased a ticket well before the event. I was already checked in to The Bogart at LuxUrban (did they ever get a Yelp page added yet?) and before I went to go dance my brains off, I needed something for dinner. This dinner was one of the last things I had worked out a plan for for the visit and only managed to reserve a 7 pm table on the morning of on Google. Out of towners such as myself wouldn't just be able to know about this place like 80 years beforehand, but I'm glad I had found this. It serves New American and Mexican food alike, but its look is unmistakably Mexican. Red walls and the decor really sell the look and it pulls it off SUPER well! Everything was easy to find, so you for example didn't have to go on a 90-minute manhunt just to get to the bathroom. The food you see in these 2 photos was my order. It was my first time having Esquite, and the Chicken Milanese smelled great upon arrival. Everything I had in that order was delicious and I definitely recommend this place if you are in Brooklyn and are in the mood for Mexican food! Seriously, the Esquite especially was heavenly! The service was also really good. Was seated pretty right away even though I was about 20 minutes early, and I was already eating by the time my reservation was actually supposed to begin. Waiter was nice and even checked in every so often to see how I liked the food. I even got to watch a good portion of Spider-Man: No Way Home on their TV to my side as I ate which was a nice touch. Rock on Leslie's!

    Crispy Taquitos

Solid restaurant! Good service. I vaguely remembered coming here for a burger with a pal a few months ago and returned yesterday for a light meal with another friend. Upon inspection of the menu, we were both happy to note the range of items (and portion sizes) listed. Being a tad peckish despite a late breakfast, I ordered the taquitos, which came in two pieces, plated with lettuce, radish, sauce, and cheese. My friend, meanwhile, ordered the French onion soup, which came in a large portion with cheesy bread on the side. She ate some and took the rest home due to a toothache caused by a dentist appointment earlier in the day. I polished off the taquitos. The total for our food was around $20, a great feat for a sit down lunch these days.

Ordered from here for the first time today, after scrolling past on seamless for so long. Boy, do I regret not ordering previously! I had the Club sandwich, grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, (crispy!) bacon, avocado, and chipotle ailoi (which I subbed for mayo, personal preference). Sandwich was huge, had a great ratio of meat to toppings, and was delicious! Also so thick I could barely bite into it! Their fries came still hot and crispy, some of the best fries in the area, truly. Crispy without being super thin shoestring type, a fine line to walk! Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

I ordered from this restaurant while working and I would like to start with the packaging quality. My entrée was wrapped in plastic, which was perfect because the food arrived hot as if it was fresh out the kitchen. Now, on to the food. The mashed potatoes are beyond amazing, the veggies were cooked perfectly, and the chicken was so flavorful that I forgot I had sauce to add on top. I need to emphasize how amazing the mashed potatoes were one more time. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to order again.

Grabbed Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries for takeout for the road and honestly, some of the best Brussels I've had in a while! Brought them over to a friends house for dinner and everyone loved em. Delicious, great flavor and service was super quick. Will definitely stop by again

This place is in walking distance from our place so I figured to give it a day. Walked over a little before 7pm on a Friday night and was seated right away. We decided to try the sweet and sour chicken wings, carnitas burrito and chorizo Mac and cheese. Everything came quickly and pretty good. The servers are very attentive and nice. Would really recommend. Might try the brunch next time around!

We loved the food…read more Came here on a saturday for lunch before the world cup. We arrived just when it opened I think. The place was pretty quiet. Friendly waitress greeted us and sat us immediately. Menu's came out and they recommended a pizza and burger. We agreed and ordered. Place started to pick up and get busy immediately after we ordered. Food came out pretty quickly. We each had a burger. Not a lot of options on the menu but we all tried the emily burger. It was worth it. Think, juicy and with an amazingly unique taste. The ingredients were high quality, the burger cooked to perfection. The table also split the modern pizza (I think). Not sure what to expect from this one but turns out it was perfect, unique and delicious. The cheese taste really shined through. Overall, we were super happy with the food here. Stop by if you have a chance.

Greetings all, it's been a while but here I am. Let's talk about Emily a quant pizza restaurant…read morethat you could easily walk pass and not know what they sold. Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a good time.

Driving through Brooklyn and stopped for the first time in prob. 10 years, and it was the same quality, portion and taste as I remembered. I'm not even a big roast beef fan but it is just so good here, and their fries are legendery, too. Their iced tea and lemonade is also memorable, in a good way. We spent enough ($50) to get a free pizza and that too was tasty - thin crust. Can't wait to stop by again in another few years. It's worth the stop.

I ordered: * Truffle Maker ($11.59) * Truffle Parmesan Fries ($6.50) * Chicken Bites with BBQ sauce ($8.05) * Large Yuzu Honey Lemonade ($4.00) Truffle maker was pretty good and I was glad I was able to remove the caramelized onions and truffle aioli (I'm picky). The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. Texture was reminiscent of Taiwanese popcorn chicken, nicely seasoned. Overall had a pleasant experience, I definitely want to return and try the rest of their menu.

Considering the height of the table, they were the perfect height. I like the music that was being played. The music wasn't too loud or too low. I was able to make conversation without the music being overwhelming. Service 10/10 This joint has a self-order/self-checkout option, which makes it easier. They also have a restroom. Not all restaurants have restrooms that are made available to customers. That is an A+ in my book. Food 10/10 I ordered Hous Burger (hold the onions. Don't at me) it was pretty good. The taste of their burgers is different from most of the burger places I have tried before. I have also ordered Yuzu Honey Lemonade. I was trying to taste the honey in the lemonade. I guess I was expecting too much. The drink was refreshing. I may try the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade next. I met a gentleman who goes by the name Ten P aka 10pushups on IG. He recommended that I try his cola shake. That is what I got, plus the whipped cream. I was honestly looking for the taste of Coca-Cola because Cola is in the name. Regardless of what I expected, the shake was pretty good. I am not a shake person, so when he asked me to try it, I made an exception. Overall: I plan on coming back to Bun Haus. This was good eats.

The service is impeccable, the wait staff is well versed in the menu and will offer help if you don't know how to truly get the best sandwich that you can. I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit -- but I found it interesting to watch the guys at the counter work. Service was friendly and attentive. Unlike someone's comment about paying blind -- not so.
