    GP&A Pool Services

He is responsive and even answers all of my dumb questions (I am a first-time pool owner). Prices are in line with the industry average, but he truly cares about the pool and does a good job every week! The proof is the report that he sends with each service with pics!

Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

4/5 - Great First Experience With One Important Concern…read more This was my first time visiting Spa Castle, and I'm happy to say they did not disappoint. There are multiple pools and saunas, each with different temperatures and benefits to explore. Whether you want to detox, relax, or simply enjoy the water, there's plenty to choose from. You can also book add-on services like massages or scrubs for a more personalized experience. There are plenty of areas to relax, both indoors and outdoors, and while children are allowed, we thankfully didn't have many around us during our visit, so it still felt peaceful and serene. The locker room and bathhouse areas are fully nude, which is something I chose not to experience due to personal preference. However, one thing I did feel strongly about as a parent of girls was the fact that children are also allowed to walk around nude in these areas. While I understand this is part of the cultural setup for some spas, I believe Spa Castle should consider a policy that prohibits nudity for minors. Unfortunately, pedophiles don't have a "look," and some parents can be completely unaware of their surroundings. For the sake of child safety, I'd strongly recommend the spa reevaluate this policy and put something in place to protect the kids. Aside from that, I had a great experience overall and can't wait to return to see what the upcoming renovations look like. This place has a ton of potential and offers a unique, refreshing escape from the day-to-day.

Our pool began to turn green, so we were told the filters needed to be cleaned. The company came and cleaned the filters, and charged us. One week later and the algae returned. Now we were told that we needed new filters. That should have been mentioned the week before during the cleaning, but that's fine. We bought new filters and installed them ourselves. The pool was still green for weeks until one day it wasn't. We didn't have issues for a while. Then, one day my wife noticed that the debris was in the same place in the pool the day that the company was supposed to come out. The next day, the pool turned green. We checked our backyard cameras and they never were there cleaning our pool, yet we were still charged for services. When we addressed this with the pool company, we were met with a hostile and argumentative response. Even though we showed them that our cameras never captured their employees on the date and time that they claimed to be there, the company refused to put the customer first. They said that the green in our pool was a result of our filtration system and not from our pool not being treated despite video evidence. Needless to say we would not recommend this company to anyone. We had issues from the start, but kept up good faith until we were shown that they would charge and argue for services not rendered.

Zero Stars for a company that doesn't vet their subcontractors…read more I wish I could leave a positive review but after the 6 months of complete trauma from this company and their lack of vetting their contractors, I have no choice but to leave a very bad review. Plungie contracts with any person who owns a business, regardless of what type of company they own or run. The contractor Plungie sent to our home for pool installation was in dirt, and a complete fraud who knew nothing about pools (by the way, a simple background check would have yielded a 101 page rap sheet from misc. drug charges to theft- a lot of theft). This man single-handedly destroyed our backyard and then left us with a complete mess as he never returned to complete the job. We are upwards of $18,000 in damages and court costs. We consider ourselves lucky because at least we have a pool. Sadly, there are others out there where this man took their money ($25,000 apiece) and flew the coop. Again, please understand that Plungie is not responsible for any of this, as they will say repeatedly. Plungie keeps saying THEY didn't hire him, but I sure as heck didn't. I contacted Plungie when we decided to get a pool, and this is the contractor they sent to my doorstep. I am happy to talk to each of your individually if you are wanting to hear the full story. I would look long and hard at other pool companies before deciding with this one. They say two weeks but it's more like 6 months of complete and utter horror. Find someone else for pool instillation.
