Our pool had a horrible algae bloom due to our pump crapping out. Once we got a new pump, we had gone to Leslie's for help to treat the problem. We went multiple times within a months period and each time a different employee would tell me different things, contradicting what the previous instructions were. The last time we went, the employee told us to put a chemical in that just TOTALLY ruined our water, making it so cloudy it looked like milk. We had our daughters birthday party at the end of the summer so we hoped the problem would be cleared. Ultimately the only way we could fix our pool was to drain it completely and start over. We got help from a friend who was WAY more knowledgeable then the employees at Leslie's and he helped us get our pool back up and running. I will never go back to Leslie's again. read more

Many years coming here since they opened. Today is May 24 worst experience as the representative opening the store with a nasty attitude not polite at all stated that she was having a nervous break down due to her Allergic reaction understandable but if you don't like the type of work you have and treat your customers that way you're going to lose them you just lost me I hope someone sees this and realize that this place is going downhill with a poor attitude read more

Had a bad experience at this location with an employee named Jenna, she was very rude. My father was explaining what he was looking for and due to English not being his first language she wouldn't let him explain without cutting him off and giving him an attitude. She claimed they didn't have the product without even looking, and when my father went to pay with a $100 bill she was making faces and complaining that she would have to go to the bank now even though she really didn't want to go. I called the next day and spoke to the manager she apologized for her behavior and seems like she's been having a hard time with her as this isn't the first time they have complaints about her. Corporate needs to let go of this employee ASAP, nobody should get treated how my father was treated. read more

This started out a zero star rating. I was given misinformation and as a result, my pool went from clear to a milkshake. Cristina, store manager, owned the problem and did everything within her authority to help. What I needed, however, was for the company to pay to restore my pool to the cleanliness before the bad advice. That had to come from the corporate office or district level. I worked retail and understand. My frustration was elevated when I got no response from them. I finally went back into the store, Cristina bypassed her manager who was out of the country, found another one for me to talk live to. End of the day, the pool is back in operation. The appropriate district manager did call the morning he returned from vacation. Mistakes happen, what counts is how they're rectified. The employee was given instruction, Cristina was great, their corporate customer service has a lot of room for improvement. I'll keep going back. read more

While very short handed, only one employee working on a Friday, a Holiday weekend, Chris the manager, was amazing, kept his cool, respectful, personable, thorough, took phone calls, cashed out people and doing water testing. After slamming Leslies Pools on Yelp I received an immediate email from the National VP of sales. He stepped in and had the district manager, district sales manager and a store manager who used to be in this area rescue the sale and get me a new cover in time to close my pool for the winter. There were mishaps along the way, But Leslie's came to my home, picked up the old cover, sent it to the manufacturer for duplication and today had two managers come and install the new cover. They did everything possible to correct the horrible experience I had in the Milford store. I'll still be shopping at Leslie's (as I've done for many years) but probably not in the Milford location. I have found out which stores previous experienced managers are running and will drive the few extra miles to shop in Fairfield or Newington. Our normal human instinct is to complain when things do not go our way, but we tend to take for granted when someone goes out of their way for us. I am taking the time to write this review because Chris really went above and beyond for me. We have a polaris robot pool cleaner that has quit working. I reached out to Chris to see if they could look at and explained to him what model it was and because it was not purchased at Leslie's the model names are different. Rather than make me lug the robot in before even knowing if he could service it, he had me text him a picture of it and responded right away that it was a model he could work on. I dropped off the robot and he ran diagnostics right then for me. Now just hoping it can be fixed. read more

Extremely horrible customer service! New manager named Christine, has no clue as to what true customer service entails. She has an extreme negative attitude, very off putting, almost as if she's better than her current role. In actuality she should be working in the stockroom where she has no interaction with the customers. I think I'll continue to purchase my pool supplies through "Amazon or In the swim" instead. Hello everyone this is actually my first time ever writing a review on any website and I'm doing so because Christopher best was not only helpful but very knowledgeable on what he does. He has awesome customer service and very friendly. I went in the Milford CT store to purchase a pool and let me tell you I couldn't be any happier he helped me from start to finish and not only did I get my pool installed but all the time when I go into Leslie's in Milford he takes the time to help out and even goes above and beyond his duties just to get answers. he's a great employee and I will highly recommend anyone who needs to know anything about swimming pools Christopher best will lead you in the right direction I always say give credit when credit is due so I had to take the time and write a great review .
