Leslie's sucks worse than before. My negative review generated a likely automated reply to reach out to customer service for assistance. When calling I received an individual overseas who I could not understand and had no authority whatsoever to deal with my complaint. He claimed there were no supervisors available, and there was nothing further he could do. What a waste of time. read more

We went to Syosset Leslie's pools. chuck and zach very knowledgeable and gave us a direction for a pool that was in a mess. Want corporate to know u have awesome workers there. extremely poor customer service. sales associate was very rude and condescending when i came in inquiring abt basic questions for my pool maintenance. he laughed and belittled me because i wasn't aware of specific pool terminology. then when i asked where i could locate the supplies i needed in the store he said it wasn't available but i found it in the back corner. however due to the frustrating experience i left without buying anything. i do not recommend this store whatsoever just buy your supplies from amazon. the customer service is beyond horrible!! it makes it easy to not want to support this small business and buy from amazon. read more

Anytime I go into the store, there's one or no one in front of me. Only one worker seems to know anything. I'll get a half ass answer to my question and as I'm thinking the one guy who knows anything moves onto someone else usually a man who he welcomes as if they go way back. I'm standing there like an idiot as more and more men fill the store and I'm left with the worker who hasn't a clue. I always feel i got the brush off, because I did. if possible go elsewhere unless your a male, they will take all the time with you and answer all your questions. read more

In the middle of the short Northeast pool season, they run out of the capability of testing pool water. How not to run a business.

I have been their customers for a long time. Everyone in store are so great and helpful. Ross upfront helped with chemicals and Michael Harloff repaired my polaris in no time. I had problem with my booster pump so i called him he asked me to bring it to store right away. He worked on and find a replacement at other Leslie's pool supplies, called them and set me up. This store is conveniently located and the staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have been going there since it opened in this location many years ago. They have fixed my Polaris many times for a very reasonable price. Every time my pool is cloudy, they test my water for free and make recommendations that help fix the problem, without it costing me too much money. I was there today, and the 2 people who helped (Erick and Jimmy) me were extremely efficient and accommodating. I noticed them interacting very well with everyone in the store. I will continue to go there as long as I live in my current home and have a pool. read more

Holy smokes...probably two of the least helpful or interested salespeople I've ever run into!

If I could give a ZERO! I would. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY SERVICE WITH YOUR POOL!! They are the worst, absolute worst. We purchased a pool cover from them last year, it was measured wrong and it took them until DECEMBER to get the replacement cover. In the meantime, everything Mother Nature could toss into the pool between September (when the pool should have been closed) and December when it finally was closed was left in the pool. I had put an old tarp over the top with water bags to try and keep it as clean as possible but when they came to close the pool, anything on top of the tarp fell into the pool. THEY PROMISED ME THEY WOULD OPEN THE POOL AND ENSURE IT WAS CRYSTAL CLEAR! They came to open it, and of course it is full of leaves and algae like I have never seen in my 20 plus years of having a pool. I now have a swamp in my backyard, not a pool!! The System Manager came today with a young man to clean the leaves out of the pool and he was SURPRISED!! and MAD! at the person who closed the pool last year to see so many leaves in the pool, yet he was here when they closed the pool!!!!!!! Gary S. stayed here for less than an hour letting the young man do most of the work, then left my pool still green and full of leaves as they have a tight SCHEDULE TODAY!! They mess up my pool and I am suppose to wait until they can try and find someone to take care of it!!! This is Memorial Day weekend, my daughter's birthday, time for BBQ and family and friends, I guess our plans will have to be put ON HOLD while they tend to their busy schedule!!! read more

If I could, I would give a zero to this location. "RUNAWAY" is one word I would use to describe this location. They have absolutely no interest in serving customers. Very indifferent and rude to the point that they look down upon customers who are ignorant of what chemical to get. While in store, I noticed how sales people treated several customers including one instance where they didn't even bother to help a lady load the heavy chemicals into her car. No sooner the customer leaves, they make fun of the customers ignorance. Seems like the purpose of the free water testing is just to push more chemicals to the customer. When I got the water tested, they recommended 'Alkalinity Up' noting that PH is where it should be. After adding the recommended chemicals, I got pool water retested and this time they claim that pool waters Alkalinity is within range but has too high PH and that I should buy dry Acid to bring the PH low. This is riduculous game to add alkaline and then acid. All they had to do it to recommend adding smaller amounts of 'Alkalinity up' to bring the levels up without unduly effecting the PH levels. I have to been to other Lesliespool stores but never had such awful experience. Either the local store owner doesn't care or its just that they don't have good sales people - either way,I would never go back to this location again. read more
