She asked what I needed, so I explained and she met my needs by the due date. I picked up the the cake to the agreed date and time. The transportation of the cake wasn't a problem at all. I gotta give her all five stars because she surpassed my expectations. She's my new favorite baker in town. I recommend her so don't hesitate to giver her a try. I was able to snag a pumpkin bread so I didn't mind waiting. We tried the lemon financier and the almond financier, and the almond was my absolute favorite! I was a little bummed that we came too late to try their pastries, but we ended up getting to try some at Lovesong Coffee, just a couple steps away. If you enjoy flavored Starbucks-style coffee, you'll probably like it, but it's just not my personal preference. I actually didn't finish my drink because the flavor wasn't for me. That said, the cashier was very sweet, and the dessert display looked beautiful and tempting. While the coffee didn't win me over, I'd still come back to give their desserts a try since they looked much more appealing than the drink I ordered. Overall, a nice spot with friendly service, but next time I'll be skipping the flavored coffee and trying one of the desserts instead.

They had reeeeally good chewy boba but the drink itself was nasty. They use powdered Thai tea which is not the way to go, ever. This is my first in San Diego and it tastes just as good. Portuguese egg tart crusts are made out of puff pastries while Chinese egg tarts are made out of shortcrust casing like a cheesecake crust. The puff pastries makes it flaky and less doughy. The custard is also less eggy and more creamy in the Portuguese version. I also got the Macau Dolgona coffee no boba with half and half. So good! Must try. You have to really stir to mix it all. This kiosk stand is literally between Gap and Banana Republic, more so towards Gap. Make sure to eat it when it's warm and it takes like 3 bites.
