Many electricians were priced very high, had no availability or gave me a lecture about how my light was difficult to install because it had several hanging tiers. We recently bought a 3000 ft single-level house in Encinitas. It was a little dated inside, and (among other things) we wanted some electrical work done. Our daughter and her husband recommended Kevin. I tend not to blindly accept recommendations (even from family), so I got three quotes from 5 star Yelp electricians; Kevin, and two others. In our initial communications, Kevin showed a great attention to detail. He answered questions promptly and helpfully. His pricing was competitive (in the middle of the three quotes). So, we hired him to install a ceiling fan, a new exhaust fan, replace some can lights (and one ancient hanging light) with new LED fittings, and put in a couple of outlets. He couldn't do the work right away (because he's very busy !!) but he came out a couple of weeks later, and worked all day. He did a terrific job. Now, here's a "wrinkle". While doing the work, he damaged a full-length mirror in a hallway. Honestly, we might not have noticed it for a few days --- but he immediately came to tell us that he'd done it (he was pretty mortified!). This demonstrates his integrity, which is hugely important to me. He told us that we should get it repaired / replaced, and that he'd reimburse us. We were so pleased with him (the quality of his work, his work ethic, and his attitude) that we "re-hired" him to replace two old and noisy exhaust fans, replace some more cans with LEDs, and install another ceiling fan. That work was executed perfectly (I still don't know how he accessed the ceiling in my office, to install that fan!). And in between times, we had the damaged mirror removed and replaced. It wasn't cheap. Kevin had a reimbursement check in my hands within a couple of days of my sending him the paid invoice. Let There Be Light deserves five stars, undoubtedly. read more

In addition, he put our sound-bar up and it looks really good - no cables flooding around and very close to the wall.
