The Prime boys and their staff are nothing but professional, helpful, caring and proficient. My wife is a nurse at Danbury Hospital and relies on her vehicle to get her to work everyday. Whenever she has a concern, she'll call Danny and he fits her service in ASAP (or, STAT if you prefer) and checks the vehicle thoroughly. She's never missed a day because of Danny's management and Todd's expertise. I've bought more than one vehicle from Prime Sales and as long as they have something in stock when I'm looking this is where I'll go. They are not greedy. They care about their customers and treat us all fairly. Hey, I was just disappointed that at the beginning of the lockdown, I needed a truck and they didn't have one. So, I was forced to find one elsewhere. Unfortunately, I payed retail plus, plus...got a bad deal and worse financing (so please don't use Blasius North in Torrington). I learned my lesson. I all my experiences and interactions with numerous dealerships over the years I never had this happen before. That the staff was more interested in leaving than making a sale. One of the staff actually left before we did before we did. Possibly if you go earlier in the day they will treat you better and try harder to make the sale.

I arranged for my brother to visit in person due to proximity, and instead of assisting, the primary salesperson delegated the interaction to someone else. Later, I personally flew from North Carolina to Connecticut to view the vehicle, only to be met with arrogance and dismissive behavior. Respect and professionalism should be standard in any transaction -- especially when a customer is clearly serious enough to travel for the purchase. Strangest experience ever in a car dealership. I've been bringing my used Prius to their service…read moredepartment since moving to this area 16 months ago. In that time I've easily spent over $5000 in their shop and never had a complaint. Today I had an appointment for some computer reset work on a couple of dashboard lights--basic stuff. After dropping the keys at the service desk I went into the small showroom and ask the man at the desk--the only person in there--whether he would mind if I sat in a corner and played the mandolin while waiting. He said, "Fine with me." So I sat in the corner and took out the instrument--an antique Gibson--and checked the tuning. I should say here that I am a professional musician. I've played all over the world--this is not to boast, just to say that I was not about to inflict musical mayhem on the staff. However, I had barely started into one tune when I was faced with a waxen-faced man with a grey pompadour, looming over me and barking, "You can't do that here! This is a showroom, not a music hall. People have to work!" Did I mention that I was the only customer at the time? I told him that I'd asked permission from the man at the desk, and he shouted, "You asked the wrong person! I'm the owner!" I asked, "Well is there anyplace private in the building where I might play?" He jerked his thumb at the parking lot and growled, "Out there!" Where it was all of 35 degrees. I said, "Thank you for your kindness and friendliness," and started to pack up the mandolin. He turned around and started for his office, but in a moment I saw him turn back and head for the service area. Aware that something was afoot, I followed him. The service manager had my keys on the desk and was giving me an apologetic shrug. This hair-trigger tyrant had just cancelled my appointment. I collected my keys and drove the forty minutes home, dashboard lights still shining. Whatever one's feelings about the sound of music in an auto showroom. I would suggest that this man's approach to customer service may leave something to be desired. He needs training, or possibly a therapeutic intervention. In any case, I'll certainly not be darkening their doors again, with or without an instrument in hand.

Gerry took a look at it, pronounced it not a big deal and said he could easily fix it. I made an appointment and showed up first thing in the morning. When Ed (Gerry's brother) arrived, he examined it and told me he could fix it in five minutes. I think it took him three. And he did a beautiful job - scratch disappeared, looks like new again. The price? Well, I think it comes out to a lunch for Ed. Now, ours was really a minor job, but the professionalism of Gerry and Ed was so evident. They know their stuff and they are friendly and efficient in their work. If we needed serious body repair we would come here, and we would recommend them over anyone else we know of in this area.
