There are so many coffee shops in my neighborhood. I never go to the chains as I'm a big supporter of shopping small and local if possible. Never Starbucks! This coffee shop has a large indoor space that's comfortable. Several seating options in a room with a lot of natural light due to the floor to ceiling windows. There is also a large outdoor patio on two sides of the shop. I only drink iced tea (preferably decaffeinated) so I can't comment on the coffee. Miss Melbourne doesn't have decaf iced tea, but my barista, Cameron, offered to make me one if I could wait a few minutes. He had to make it hot and then pour over ice to cool down. He then put the tea in a cup with lots of ice. Perfect. The decaf iced tea (chamomile) was okay. Not much flavor to it, but I appreciated Cameron's offer to make me one. On my visits afterwards, I just ordered the caffeinated iced teas. They have Black and Green teas. Those are good. Unfortunately, no loose teas. There are numerous other beverages that are offered here. Smoothies, Milkshakes, Juices, Kombuchas, Sodas, and even Wine. Plenty of food items and sweets to pair with your beverage. Very modern, beautiful shop with big open spaces and tall ceilings. It's a good work atmosphere. There are several dairy-free and vegan options including food. Unfortunately, I didn't like my drink at all. I ordered the Salted Caramel Cold Brew with oatmilk. It didn't taste like there was any caramel in it at all. Not even a hint of flavor or syrup in the cup. If anything it tasted a little salty. 1 star for ambiance and environment 1 star for customer service I don't feel comfortable rating anything above that since my drink was not just "eh", but bad. I really didn't want to finish it, but it felt like a waste of money. With so many coffee shops to try in the area, I don't think I'll be returning for another drink. I might come back to try one of the Aussie vegan pastries though. read more

Not bad I been here before. I don't think they are cashless which is nice. WeHo just sucks forever cuz it's overpriced. They are "reasonable" given that but I just can't be paying five bucks for one cafe item these days. Burgers used to cost that much. Honestly, these were the very worst coffee drinks ever. My friend got an iced vanilla latte that just tasted like water. It had very little flavor at all.. I got a hot vanilla latte, which actually tasted a little soapy. Neither of us could possibly finish our drink. We threw them away before halfway done. First and last time visiting this place. The coffee is nice and strong and it's a clean space right by Trader Joes. My loss of stars is because there's a toilet seat cover holder in all genders bathroom and no covers I reported this to Miss Melbourne and was told that stopped putting them in 3 years ago because 'people made a mess'. She refused to accept that this is unacceptable as it's unsanitary . Women and trans men either have to use the toilet paper as a pretend seat cover and it always falls off, or hover and sprinkle Which if you're a decent human being is something that you would clean up but many people don't so this is definitely unsanitary. PS note to manager's note. You need to get out more. In USA toilet seat covers are pretty much universal in business' bathrooms. You lost one star for being unsanitary and another for your lack of customer service. Arguing that a customers' experience contradicts yours is not polite or good for your business. I was coming from kindness just letting you know the holder was empty. Your response and passive aggressive justification and denying my truth; has only compounded my complaint. read more

What a great first visit! The parking is easy to get - either on street or in the attached structure. ($2.50/20mins, but worth it). What initially drew me in, was the look of all the windows and bright interior. Then, walking in, I noticed that they also served food. And lots of it. The baristas were quick and the restroom use was easy if you are a paying customer. Please come here to write you next script, book, budget analysis etc. I'll def head there again soon. read more

I really love this spot!!! I've been coming here each time I've visited LA this past year and a half, and haven't had a single negative experience. The staff is super friendly, the coffee is good, and it's a lovely place to chill and work. My favorite thing is their lemon blueberry cake, which is about the most perfect pastry I've ever had! Came here to grab breakfast and do some studying, overall it is a good study space with large tables and a couple outlets against the walls. The cold brew was good, but the tuna melt was very mediocre. Overall food was nothing special and overpriced, the service was also very slow and not inviting. read more

I'm addicted to their Aussie pies. They don't bake it there but get it from an Australian bakery. The taste, the freshness and the quality are amazing. My another favorite is flat white. Love the outdoors patio area and the spacious inside area. The ambiance is cool. Customer service is welcoming. The prices are a bit on the higher end but that doesn't bother me. I love to stop here when I shop at Trader Joe's right across from this cafe. read more

There was a pretty no-frills coffee shop here prior to so when I saw Miss Melbourne take over the space I figured it would be more of the same, mostly coffee (which I am not a fan of) maybe one or two teas and a lame set of pastries brought in from wherever that's it. I passed by a few times and after my dog drank from the water bowl they leave out there I felt obliged to at least try something. I was going to what I thought would be their limited non-coffee options. After my dog took his drink outside and we walked in I was surprised to see their menu was broader both food and drink wise. I ended up with a Berrylicious smoothie and since I had more time to kill got their breakfast sandwich as well. So, the smoothie was super enjoyable! I know that's a weird comment to make but it was all fruits. I'm going to sound curmudgeonly but I don't get how juices/smoothies that don't taste sweet/fruity can be considered as such. Their breakfast sandwich came on a bagel. I haven't been impressed by the majority of bagels and Miss Melbourne didn't change my mind on that. However, overall it wasn't bad and again, thought it would be a quick, wrapped in paper then microwaved affair but surprisingly better than I thought. read more

I was in New Zealand a few months ago and had grown accustomed to enjoying a sausage roll and this spot did not disappoint. I also ordered a matcha latte which was not too good. Do not recommend. Unfortunately this was the worst smoothie I've ever had. Usually smoothies are thick and have good flavor, this one tasted like water and was extremely watery. It was like $10 with tax a huge waste of money. It was so watery the employee drank the other half of the smoothie in front of me. Alittle unprofessional. Disclaimer: I don't drink coffee so I can't speak to the main function of the establishment. Otherwise, honestly the worst tasting and most expensive matcha latte I've had. It was bitter, even with sweetener, and not the earthy bitterness that some matcha has, but a sharp "this is not good" bitter. Those who drink matcha, you know what I'm describing. This was my third time ordering it, always in hopes that it's better the next time. I'm sure I'll be at Trader Joes again in a years time and just get curious and go back again. When I discovered that there was a new cafe near Trader Joe's to replace Coffee Tomo, which closed at the start of the year, I was eager to try it out. Miss Melbourne is a new branch of what apparently is the second US location of an Australian coffee chain; the other one is also nearby, a bit more west in West Hollywood. They've mostly preserved the decor of Coffee Tomo (at least the big white tables), though they've added a much larger--and better enclosed--outdoor seating area and a bit more greenery inside. They also have a much larger food menu, with lots of brunchy items--never a bad thing. On this occasion, I arrived just in time to get an ice mocha and then connect to a Zoom meeting. Unfortunately, try as I might (restarted my comp many times), I couldn't connect to their Wi-Fi on my laptop (despite virtually never having a problem anywhere else) other than for a few brief seconds one time. So I had to do the meeting on my phone for a chunk of it, then eventually turned my phone into a hotspot to do the rest. Staff was nice in trying to help, restarting their router and suggesting that I could be sitting in a dead spot (the latter didn't seem likely, given that I was seeing their network with full bars). We'll see if the Wi-Fi booster they plan to get fixes the problem--an engineer friend thinks it may be a network configuration problem on their end. Bottom line: bummer. As for the ice mocha, it was just OK (had an almost but not quite "burnt" flavor, though at least it wasn't too sweet). Still, lots of other ones I've liked better (e.g., Javista and Coffee MCO). Also, while the atmosphere is nice--bright and airy--I'd have loved for the music to have been slightly quieter. I get that it's not a library, but I just wanted the music to feel more like background and less "I'm the center of attention." Probably a 25% reduction would have done the trick. Thought about going outside for my meeting, but the Santa Monica Blvd traffic doesn't make things any quieter. So...based on my experience yesterday, it doesn't appear to be a great workspace for me, though I'll likely give it another shot to see if things work out better. Or maybe the food's great and it'll be a place I hit up every now and again if I need to shop at Trader Joe's. At present, I'd call it three and a half stars, rounded up for friendly service. read more

For some reason, Google Maps mapped me to the wrong place (~10 mins walk away) despite placing in the right address, so do take note if it maps you to Norton Ave!! I got here at about 10am on a Friday and it was pretty empty. I got a regular (probably 16oz) Iced Latte with Oat Milk and it came out to be $6. Pretty worth it in my opinion, the coffee was smooth and flavourful, slightly caramel-y and not sour/bitter at all. There are a couple of outlets around the sides of the cafe, plenty of tables and good lighting if you're planning on getting some work done. Wifi was slightly spotty (my laptop connected without an issue, but my ipad and iphone was unable to). The music was also slightly loud, but nothing unbearable, just a personal preference! They also have those chimes that ring whenever someone walks in/out of the cafe so do take note of that too. Overall, an enjoyable experience, would be back to try their food as well. read more
