If you haven't already noticed this is a family owned business. Don't be surprised to see kids, nephews, and nieces working and even grandma on the business end of a broom. They are fully licensed, bonded and insured C-7 (cement) contractors. Service - My project was significant enough to require 5 separate pours of various colors and exposed aggregates on private property and in the street which required permits. I was most impressed by there communication. Everything was discussed with me in detail before it was done. Any suggestions or requests I had were done without complaint or request for more money. They worked carefully on my property as if it were their own. They are very safety conscious and make sure the job is properly cleaned up each day with necessary barricades and caution tape. This is very important if you are working in the street. Reuben noticed that I had a temporary wood step in my garage. It was his idea to form up a step and put in a proper step with the next pour, no charge. Jessie went the extra mile in fixing some irrigation they uncovered. I had actually installed it wrong in the first place and he made it right. Quality - Some concrete contractors skimp on finishes. This is a very specialized job and results in superior finished product which will perform well for decades. Whenever they poured they brought in extra contract finishers. These are very experienced men to provide extra hands during the somewhat stressful pours. Extra finishers means extra score marks for crack control, consistent color and cream to the finish not to mention superior durability. Pricing - Very competitive and fair compared to the other bids I took. They have all tools necessary, bobcats, backhoes, dump trucks, jackhammers, saw cutters, levels and trenchers. No extra charges for rental equipment. For instance I asked to add drainage after the contract was signed. The price was very fair for the amount of work. No games such as some contractors with high change order prices. Schedule - Always delivered on schedule. Were very cautious around rain to avoid any weather problems. If they said they were coming they showed up and did what they said they would do. These are very nice, honest and humble people. I had to ask Reuben to stop calling me sir and address my by my first name. They offered to get me lunch when they went out to get theirs. Highly Recommended. I didn't get the name until I met the owner, Leticia. She was sonderful and so was her son and brother. They all worked on my little job. I was tagged by the city for sidewalk work outside my house. Unfortunately, i had to pay for this work, even though the city would have paid for it 1.5 years ago. Still, Leticia and crew gave me a reasonable quote and handled all the paperwork. During the unseasonable rains this year, the 70 year old Camphor tree in the parking strip in front of my house lifted a section of sidewalk 3" with its roots. I am well aware that the City long ago transferred maintenance of sidewalks from City Services to homeowners. My sidewalk has been tagged before. Still, I was amazed at the power of tree roots to raise a section of concrete that much in only three weeks. Lots of people walk in my neighborhood. As I sat in my living room looking out after the rains stopped, I saw a young woman who was looking at her cell phone as she was walking trip on my uneven sidewalk. Fortunately, she didn't fall, but I was concerned. A while later the same day, the grandmother of a baby across the street from me was walking her grandchild in a stroller past my house. She also had her daughter's Pug with her, tied to the stroller handle. The Pug pulled toward my lawn, and as the lady was trying to get the dog back in line, she approached the newly raised section of sidewalk. I was so afraid she'd trip and fall that I ran out and warned her. That was it for me. I knew I was liable if someone got hurt because I neglected to fix the problem. I didn't need to wait for the City to tag it. I found Let's Concrete on Yelp and called their number. Leticia came out the next day and gave me a bid. I asked her when they could do the work. She said they had time the next day. Because it was a Thursday and I was going out of town for the weekend, I said okay. Her husband and brother came out the next morning and fixed everything, including trimming the tree root. They did an excellent job. Because I didn't get competitive bids, I really can't say whether what they charged was high or not. I just wanted the job done. But I've lived in my home for many, many years, and have had sections of sidewalk replaced before, and I would say their price was in line with what I paid about 9 years ago, adjusted for a little inflation, for another section. They left the area clean and neat, and the sidewalk looks great. I definitely would hire them again for concrete work. I paid with a check. I didn't ask if they took credit cards. read more

This is a wonderful service. Jesse was great! He came to our door when he saw that we had been tagged by the city of San Jose and left his card. Well I shopped around for a small concrete job, two cubic yards worth, about 140 sq ft of space and Leticia from LETS CONCRETE was one of the few who called back as most companies I think wanted a bigger job. Leticia came out on Thursday, bid the job and set it for Monday. She came back with part of the crew, her husband,,on Sun evening to show him what I wanted and he promised to be here about eight am. He arrived on time with two other gentlemen and went right to work digging and concrete sawing. These guys worked well as a team doing a fine job as I watched from the shade. Rebar laid and tied at one foot intervals and tied to the existing slab with drilled in rebar. Fine finish on the project and Ruben was nice enough to run my electrical under the slab and bring it up just where I wanted it. To be clear I will do the wiring later but the wire is in place. Nice friendly cheerful guys to have around the house doing work and would highly recommend to anyone, fair price, quality work, on time, and cleaned up after themselves a pleasure to do business with makes me want to find another concrete project around the house. I'll just say this company lived up to all the good things said about them on Yelp and more, and I would definitely recommend them and also use their services again. Our sidewalk was cracked and raised up and sunken down, due to encroaching tree roots, and needed to be replaced with a safe and level one. I had contacted other cement contractors but they either seemed unprofessional, vague and haphazard or else weren't excited about doing this kind of project, which involves a lot of hard work including breaking up the concrete sidewalk, cutting back the tree roots, and laying and finishing the new sidewalk. First contact was Leticia who was very friendly, professional, and reassuring. She gave me a reasonable estimate quickly and also scheduled the work to be done very soon. I appreciated that she answers her phone and answers your emails if you have additional questions or concerns. On the day of the work, her husband Jesse and her brother Ruben and Miguel showed up on time, all friendly and upbeat and energetic, and jumped right into the work. They stayed that way all through the project and finished it the same day. They work great as a team and you get the impression you could leave to go out of town or whatever and it would all go well, because even though they seem to be enjoying themselves (!), they are very serious about concentrating on doing a professional job. Every bit of debris--concrete, dirt, roots--was taken away, and protective cones and tape were put up to protect the concrete while it was drying. I will start off by saying that Leticia and her crew did a beautiful job on my concrete patio. I have an existing patio in my yard and wanted the new patio to transition smoothly, this was accomplished by her crew digging down through 12" of hard clay dirt, rocks and roots, all of which they had to do by hand. I live across the street from a school and on Friday afternoon got a knock on the door from a parent who showed me his kid's skinned knees from a sidewalk buckling in front of my house; I hadn't noticed because I never walk in that direction. During this conversation several other parents came up and said the same. I know I'm responsible for anything that happens there and frankly I'm a worrier so i wanted it fixed ASAP. I found Let's Concrete on Yelp and saw the positive reviews (actually, almost suspiciously positive)... but called them. Saturday they called back and arranged to come that evening (yes, Saturday evening). They inspected it, gave me a bid that was around what I was estimating it would be, and during that conversation they arranged to come by the NEXT MORNING (yes, Sunday morning). We signed a contract then and their. They came by as they said and did a fantastic job -- even kept my six-yr-old daughter entertained watching them through the front window as they broke up the old sidewalk pieces, removed large bits of the tree root that was pushing up the sidewalk. They attached a chain to their truck for some of it. By 3:30 it was done, they put cones and caution tape around it, and told me there is often scraped graffiti by the time it dries. If so, they'll come back and grind that out for free. By Monday morning when school started, the concrete, although still not completely dry, was dry enough to resist scraping and that afternoon they removed the cones. Job well done! I have no hesitation recommending them, and although I never compared prices with anyone else so can't say if they're expensive or cheap, the other comments make me think they're in the middle and so I think absolutely worth it. read more

My sidewalks were tagged for repair/replacement (they needed it!) by the city so I came to the Yelp site and found Let's Concrete as the highest rated of all cement contractors. I gave them a call to get an estimate and Leticia was at the house that day to give me a bid. Not only did her bid come in the lowest for this job, but she threw in an extra replacement that had been marked as a repair and only charged me for the repair. The family did the work in one day and it looks great. Just recently I had Ruben do a reroof on my garage and he too was in and out in one day. they did a great job, had some really thick concrete that had to be ripped out before a new pad could be put in, and it wasn't easy, but they didn't complain and just did the job. pad is nice and well done, a professional job. Giving them four stars because they told me they could do it the day I asked for, but 3 days before the job they called and said they couldn't cuz it was a holiday and the landfill would be closed that day, and It ended up being done on a Saturday which wasn't great. but part of that's on me for trying to schedule on a holiday, so I don't blame them much. overall a professional experience. read more

Based on prior reviews I thought these guys would be great. I got someone on the phone after leaving a message and set up an appointment. several days in advance. They did not keep the appointment for an estimate, or leave an esimate even though the sidewalk repair was in plain view. I got the impression the job was too small for them to really want for just a sidewalk grind. I hired Let's Concrete to demo a large pad and section of sidewalk then pour a new larger pad (15' x 16'). I was given a date that ended up being adjusted due to rain. On 4/5 a crew came to my home, on time, and worked non-stop to complete this job. By the way I added anther demo project which they completed as well. I waited until now to see how the pad would cure, looks fantastic. The crew walked me through what they were doing, answered my questions along the way, cleaned up everything (that alone is worth 5 stars!). At the end of August I've hired Le'ts Concrete to redo my driveway, as well as to make cement walkways all around my house. This was a big job that took about four days. The first day, they busted the old driveway and hauled away all the junk. The second day they prepared the dirt by compacting it, placing pebbles and laying wire mesh for the walkway and rebar for the driveway. The third day they poured the walkways, and the fourth they did the driveway. They had the right tools and they knew what they were doing. They were very courteous and asked a lot of questions about how I wanted different things such that in the end I would be happy. They were very flexible satisfied all of my requests. Additionally they tore down my old backyard gate and built a new one that is bolted to the concrete so in case the studs rot I can just replace them. I am very happy with the results and I would recommend them to anyone. read more
