It's a cute spot on an unexpected corner. Came here for a friend's bday brunch. It's not a super large place but they were able to accommodate our intended party of 10 that turned into 8. We were able to make reservations. As you know we tear the bday girl so it came out to about 40 dollars including tip per person. We weren't a big drinking group but if you are add another 10-30 per person if everyone is going to have a drink or two. Food was pretty good. It's an open pitch concept. So you can see them prepping your food. Wait staff was super nice and friendly. Decor is rustic ao super cute for pics. Chicken and waffles were a hit at our table. A few ppl had mimosas ans were please with the oj to champagne ratio. The chocolate mouse was delicious ! Let's do brunch was amazing. One of the things that I really admire is the fact that they serve brunch every day. It is located in Queens and parking was not too bad. It is a residential area so keep that in mind. We were seated right away during the midday hour. There were other people there but it wasn't overly crowded which was really relaxing and comfortable. The service was exceptional. To put a cherry on top of this review, I would like to add that we asked for the manager and she came over to our table sat with us, had coffee, and we had a really great conversation about so many different topics. That really was impressive because it's so important for managers to know their customers, and to know the community that they are doing business in. One to the food, the jerk salmon was well seasoned, and well prepared. It was cooked to a great temperature and tasted really good. The chicken and waffles were well seasoned and the waffle was so fluffy and warm and nice. I really appreciated the fact that although it was chicken tenders, the batter was seasoned really well and you could taste something other than just chicken. lol. Ok so.. I was very excited to see a cute trendy spot that is local. When I arrived, I thought it was very cute! The decor and the ambiance was very trendy... I really wanted to like it! BUT ...to me customer service is everything! When we walked in we were not greeted, and the environment was very standoffish. In all fairness, they were setting up for some type of event while we came in. One of the waitresses told us there was a special menu we could only order from today and told us to sit down on the side until they gave us that menu. We waited a while for a menu and no one gave us the menu, we approached the same woman again asking for the menu and she expressed she was busy and would bring it.... She never brought the menu and at this point we had waited for quite some time. You could tell almost all of the staff was inexperienced in the service industry so we had inquired how long this place has been open and were shocked to find out they've been open for two years ! Next, a girl finally took our order. While we sat down (near the fridge at a table with a sofa) a guy came up to load the fridge with beers and put the case on our table while we were sitting (so unprofessional!) . They didnt even apologize or say excuse me! NOw all we got was chips with gucamole to eat and a coffee and that even took a bit to come . When it came we did not receive any type of napkins. When we asked for the napkins a waitress said ok and still did other things before assisting us. The whole service treatment was messy and not friendly at all. The manager we thought WAS kind and was the only one that helped us out initially .....( we did not know it was the manager until we asked her for the check and she replied, " I'm not your server!" ) A bit unprofessional if you ask me, as we never knew who are server was because no one came to help us ever. Also, the chips and guacamole had no flavor whatsoever ! The coffee was great though.. sadly I am big on how staff treats their customers and for me this was not a place I'd return to unless the servers go through real professional training. read more

Where was this spot when I was growing up in the area. It's so funny how much has changed. And when a good friend asked me to meet her here on a Thursday, I jumped at the opportunity to go to the old neighborhood and check this spot out. Soooooooooo cute and definitely a fun group place, girls brunch date or even just a fun place for the family to dine at. They have mastered something I've only seen on viral reels, so I suggested we get it for the table. You may be asking yourself what's "it"? Well it's the breakfast charcuterie board. Complete with waffles, pancakes, crepes, one meat of our choosing (we chose bacon) and eggs. They were kind enough to do one egg over medium and one scrabbled for us. This board was EVERYTHING!! The crepes with fruit and Nutella were out of this world. We also got a side of home fries and sausage and each were equally as delicious. I couldn't stop eating the home fries. My friend sipped on coffee that wasn't as hot as they would like, but my peppermint tea was just right. Went here weds 1130am for a working lunch with my team and we were very pleased. Ambiance in here is cozy with light music in the back. Surprisingly, they were fairly busy for that time of day/week, but the service was still really good. Jordan B was our server and she was so warm and welcoming. She was knowledgeable about menu items and checked on us often. I think the prices are pretty good and match the portion sizes. Drinks: they have so many delicious mimosa flavor options! I wanted to try them all (and will lol) but this time I had the mango dragon fruit and lychee rose - both were really good but I loved the mango dragon fruit more. My friends had the peach Bellini and hazelnut cappuccino which they both enjoyed. Food: everything was made to order so it came out hot and fresh! I had the avocado toast which comes with home fries or seasoned fries and I added bacon and 2 eggs over easy. This was really yummy! The only issue I had was that my fries were overcooked and hard! My friends had the shrimp burger with a side salad and the buttermilk chicken sandwich with fries. They said their meal was good and my friend's fries were much better than mine so I ate hers lol. It falls short. The wait, with reservation... The wait, for drinks The wait, for food... They don't clear tables right away making people wait upwards of 15-20 minutes. There's less than 10 tables in the house you should rapido por favor, clean it and go. Next. This should be a no brainer. Also... those small portions of condiments aren't enough. Give people the bottle. We are adults. Pancakes were dry and needed to keep asking for syrup, not sufficient. Food for our table didn't come out together? Bizarre. The flights are cute but why are we waiting 20 minutes for a flight of 4 mini drinks? What you should do: Bring out a tray per table with all condiments. Hire people who clean the tables. You'd have a lot more customers in and out and make more revenue through the day if you just kept the momentum going. Nobody seems to care about bringing people in. I ordered bacon with my meal it came 10 minutes later? And a major up charge when it wasn't listed as such. Come on. Should probably give an option for bottomless mimosas. Do better. I'm trying to be nice because the food was good but it was just okay. I need to add in that the silverware didn't come out til after an hour after we sat down and after our food came. Cute spot, with minimalist decor that have just the right touch. The owner came to the table after the meal to check in and shared her story. There is a bit of a wait but it's worth it as the food is made to order. We ordered chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict. Both were delish and if you are an egg Benedict kinda person you know not everyone or anywhere makes it good. We didn't make reservations and the wait was pretty decent considering, but I do recommend to make reservations so at least the only wait is when you are getting your food. I don't write negative reviews, but this one is very well deserved. Location and ambiance are 10/10. The food? I couldn't tell you as it took our party of 3 30 minutes to receive a cup of coffee, hot tea and lemonade...plus another 5 minutes to get a replacement for the cream that came with a nice long hair attached. You would think the server would offer an apology. Not to be had! After another 20 minutes waiting, 50 altogether...we decided to leave as our hunger turned into a different feeling. Then when I got up to leave the young lady in the front decided that it made sense for her to counter my concern with "you weren't waiting 50 minutes, it was 40!" Obviously a ton to work on here. The place looks beautiful and the smell was great but they need an operations inventory and to have a better system to ensure that their customers actually get to taste the food. Overall a big miss in my book. Wanted a nice brunch expierence in Queens and this place looked promising from the outside. Let's start with the staff, incredibly nice and reasonable from everything I saw. Though seemed slightly slow in service time. Food also took much longer than expected to arrive, and no water was immediately brought over nor asked about. Food wasn't very good. We ordered buttermilk waffles with chicken and steak with eggs. Both were a miss. Waffles were extremely dry and not very flavorful, though the chicken was juicey, not very crispy as the breading only covered a few sections. Steak was ordered medium rare and came out incredibllllly tiny overdone and very very chewy. (Super hungry from wait, so didn't even bother asking the waitress about it, even though this dish was $27). It even came with 2 tiny pieces of lettuce to immitate a salad. The potato fries that came along just tasted like starchy and slightly underdone potatoes. Seasoning seemed to only sprinkle 1/3 of them. Eggs were soft scrambled as expected, with some very underdone areas in the middle. Eggs were likely one of the better seasoned pieces of the meal. Coffee is very diner style coffee, so very burnt tasting, however it's free refills- so is what it is. Atmosphere is not my personal style, but seemed nice enough. Though having rgb lights on in the day time seemed tacky, as well as the fresh orange juice squeezer machine being shoved between 2 seating area tables. Strange choice. Overall I won't be coming back or recommending to friends in the area. read more

We came to this establishment with high hopes as we live a few blocks down and were anxiously waiting for the day it would open. We wanted to love this spot, especially as it's minority owned, and I believe West Indian owned. However, the food was bland. The chicken in my chicken sandwhich was bland, not enough salt or seasoning and the French toast wasn't what we expected. If you do brunch in the Astoria and trendy Brooklyn area, then you know what to expect at a brunch spot. I didn't see an option for bottomless mimosas and the food was sadly sub par. I'm going to give them some time to figure everything out because they're fairly new, and that's why I'll be rating at 4 stars today but I do believe they either need new recipes or a new cook, who can season everything up well. Asked for a cheese board before the meal and it came after and was told it takes a long time to put together. Really? How long does it take to put some fruits crackers and cheese on a board?? After that waitress asked how long more we were staying 5 mins 10, 20 ? At that time I was ready to flip the table and leave. Weak coffee - I was a professional coffee taster and the coffee was really not good. Not terrible but it is so very easy to make a decent cup of coffee that I have little patience for below average coffee. Definitely not brewed by a coffee aficionado. Please be more generous with your fruit topping! My waffles were an ample size but the fruit was barely enough for half of what I received. We drive by this place daily, I finally got an opportunity to stop by. It's was amazing,, I had the skirt steak, it exceeded my expectations. My wife had the waffles, they were freshly made, a little crunchy on the outside , and warm and soft on the inside, and had a great flavor, the chicken was ok, ( I recommend a maple or a hot honey glaze ) .
