We stopped by to try the mochi donuts at this new spot in Charleston. The place was clean, and the service was quick, which made for a great first impression. We ordered a fruit tea along with a variety of donuts. My kids especially enjoyed the strawberry, milk pebble, and Oreo flavors, while I personally loved the coffee one. The prices are a bit on the higher side for donuts, but since mochi donuts are still a relatively new treat in this area, I'd say they're worth trying at least once. They also offer bubble tea and Korean fried chicken wings, so there's definitely more to explore on the menu.

Youre greeted with the yummy smells of sweet deliciousness as soon as you enter Mochi-world. Much to my chagrin, the donuts, Corn dogs, nor Korean fried chicken are GF. However, the Tea is! I opted for a fruit tea as that sounded refreshing! And boy, was it! Pineapple Fruit Tea with Strawberry Popping Pearls. Opening Day discount to boot. Woot! The fruit tea was served with fresh sliced pineapple and half a cup of popping pearls, so that didn't disappoint. If you are prone to having an affinity for sugar, it's a rush! Next time I'll opt for less sugar along with the leas ice option. The donuts were beautiful and they were going out the door by the dozen! There was even a 30 minute wait for the "Milk Pebble" one so that must be a hot seller! Will definitely return to worky wah through their massive list of Boba! Milk and Fruit options available.

I'm going to start off with the best to the worst parts about my experience at Let's Mochi Donuts, to start: 1. The chocolate mochi donut was probably the best one we got. It had semi-dark chocolate on the top and topped with chocolate cereal. It was my favorite overall. 2. The mango donut was very tasty and had a good mango taste. It was topped off with cereal as well and was my 2nd favorite one. 3. The matcha mochi donut was very sweet and tasty for those who like icing. It had a matcha pocket on top that added a nice crunch. However, the donut didn't really have any matcha flavor. 4. The Oreo/cookies and cream donut was fairly good and had cookies crumbled on top. I do think it was too sweet for my liking. 5. The garlic soy chicken - Wow... where do I even start off with this. When I bite into the chicken it was crunchy and when I looked at the center it wasn't cooked all the way. It was barely cooked in the center. I will say the sauce they put on it was very good. Sometime after I bite into it I asked them to recook the chicken and they said yes. After waiting for it to cook for a little while, they gave me a whole new order of chicken. After it cooled off, I bite into it and it was still not cooked all the way. I was already bored of waiting so I left and recooked/reheated the chicken at home. 6. The salt and pepper popcorn chicken is probably the best item we ate here. It had a nice salt and pepper flavor in all pieces. The chicken was a basic quality chicken and the panko breading was nice and crunchy. 6. The ambience was nice. It is very cute and decorated. They have cute characters on the windows. Overall, my experience with Le's Mochi Donuts was pretty mid. I will say the service was very good they were nice about the chicken. If you plan to visit this establishment please stick with the mochi donuts and popcorn chicken.

It was unique with the different flavors and textures on top that came together really nicely. Almond frangipane scone- I'm not the biggest fan of dried fruit in baked goods, but otherwise thought this was tasty and would want to get a scone/biscuit without dried fruit next time. Would recommend. Cinnamon twist- Tasty! Not mind blowing, but we enjoyed and would get again. Best friend/chocolate chip cookie- Loved that it was crispy on the outside and chewy in the center part and that it used a darker chocolate. Jam sesh- This was not our favorite and we wouldn't get it again. We just didn't think all the flavors worked together. Short + Sweet- The coffee cake was maybe a little overbaked. My friend liked it more than I did, but I didn't feel like I needed to have it again. Overall it's a good place to go with a few people and try a bunch of things and hang out!

The vibe is still effortlessly cozy and creative--flowers, greenery, unusual Christmas gifts, and those little bakery touches that make you want to linger over your latte. This time around, everything felt even better than I remembered. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service had that relaxed but attentive feel. I tried a couple of their seasonal items, and once again the flavors were bright, fresh, and a little unexpected in the best way. Their baked goods are still the standout--beautifully made, not overly sweet & just delicious. It's the kind of place where you can sit with a book, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a slow morning with coffee and something delicious. Consistently great atmosphere, consistently great food, and a place that really gets better with every visit. Why did it take so long to return. I've now placed it in the top of my list for a great coffee spot.

We started with the Moroccan meatballs, which were so good I forgot to even take a picture before digging in. I ordered the lamb burger with fries, and everything was cooked perfectly -- the burger was flavorful and juicy, and the fries were amazing too. My friend got the fried chicken and said it was the best he's ever had. I tried some myself, and the seasoning was incredible. There's artwork and writing all over the ceiling, and the whole place has a very intimate, moody vibe. I would 100% bring a date here. Our bartenders were also phenomenal and really added to the experience. We came to celebrate during my birthday and started with a champagne flight, which was such a fun touch. For food, we ordered the steak and eggs and the Applewood bacon omelette. My girlfriend's steak and eggs were phenomenal. Truly no notes. Everything was cooked well, the pacing was great, and we never felt rushed. I ordered the Applewood bacon omelette, and this was really my only disappointment. There was almost too much bacon, which sounds ridiculous to complain about, but hear me out. The bacon was diced extremely fine, almost to the consistency of bacon bits, while the onions were left sliced. I think it would have worked much better if either the bacon had been cut a little larger or the onions had been diced down to match. The textures just felt mismatched. I could absolutely see the vision, and the flavor was there, but the execution was a little off. I ended up regretting my choice a little and wishing I had ordered the mushroom omelette instead. That is definitely what I'll be trying next time. I also wish there had been an option to substitute the home fries. This is definitely more of a personal preference, but home fries feel so overdone as a brunch side, and I would have loved another option. Those were really my only critiques in an otherwise fantastic experience. The atmosphere was beautiful, the bartenders were phenomenal, the pacing was great, and the food overall was delicious. Church and Union is absolutely somewhere I would come back to, whether for another celebration, brunch, or a date night.
