    Hazelnut iced coffee !

This donut shop is so cute!! It's tucked in a shopping center in the very corner but inside it is so nice! I heard this place is locally owned and I've always wanted to check it out. I wanted to bring in donuts to the office and this place did not disappoint at all. My coworkers were very content! I wasn't able to take a picture of the donuts but they were huge and amazing overall. I ordered a dozen donuts and asked for a random assortment. I also got an iced coffee with hazelnut syrup and a bit of sugar/cream and it was a 10/10. The cashier was so nice and helped me out which I totally appreciate. This place is definitely worth the drive!

By far the best I've had, hands down!! So soft & delicious. It's like biting into a cloud. You can definitely tell they're freshly made. Will be going back for sure!

This was my second visit and I ordered the donut holes with raspberry glaze and sprinkles, they were pretty good. I liked the flavor this time around, instead of just tasting sweet/sugar I did taste a hint of raspberry in the icing. I enjoyed the texture of the donut holes and subtle glaze. They went great with my coffee this morning, glad I gave this place another try. Donut holes $ 2.99 plus tax FYI

This little donut shop is tucked away and could easily be looked over but that would be a shame. The donuts are delicious!!! Very yeasty and soft. They offer several different varieties and each one seemed to be a great size. And their donut holes... I would go back just for truckloads of those, to be honest! They have to be the best donut holes I have ever devoured! The staff was also extremely friendly and very willing to answer any questions I had. I cannot wait to return soon!

Fairly new donut shop I decided to drop in on. It's off of Bacons Bridge, but it's easy to miss. Believe it's family owned. Offers a variety of donuts options which can be comparable to Dunkin or Krispy Kreme. They were delicious. Love to support a small business on the rise.

Today I went to an antique outdoor market to get a typewriter. I thought, hey...let me bring home donuts for my family as a nice gesture! I went to Dunkin and stood there for 5 minutes and they did not even acknowledge my presence...so I walked out. Plus I haven't been a fan of their food for a while. Their donuts taste so not fresh. I went down the street to Donut Makes and I'm so glad I did! They were so nice in there and their donuts and coffee are excellent! I got a vanilla iced latte. I got My husband the Boston cream donut and he really enjoyed it. We will be returning for sure! The donuts are airy, delicious, and FRESH!

Had to try this place out because they have Kolaches. Anyone who has ever lived in Texas loves these. They were fresh and had good flavor. Larger than what I use to get in TX.

Delicious original glazed and mixed holes ( original and cinnamon)

I got the Woodstock drip coffee (I let the barista pick based on my preference for low acidity coffee), the Turkey C sandwich, my son got the banana bread and a PSL, my daughter's got a chai and blueberry muffins. My kids loved their treats and drinks, admittedly they are an easy audience. I enjoyed my coffee, as hoped for it was smooth a law acid, despite drinking it black. The sandwich was absolutely outstanding. Bacon was thick and smoky, the roll had just the right "squish" and "chewiness" of a good hard roll, and it wasn't greasy or sloppy at all, which is exactly why I picked it. The Mediterranean salad was not quite what I expected, I thought it would involve black olives and feta cheese, but it had neither, and I appreciated that it was different and not too oily. The food prices feel a touch high but if you look at the quality of the food, and their use of premium ingredients, it is reasonable for what you get. Staff was friendly and good came out fast. There is a long table for bigger groups and small tables for up to four to sit. In general, Summerville has been mostly misses for me on food, but I like Coastal Coffee and would return if I was in the area and wanting a bite or a brew. J.Ja

We actually stumbled upon Luxe Bar & Bistro while planning to head downtown, but a bridge closure caused major traffic, so we decided to change plans and just find somewhere local to enjoy a holiday cocktail. After checking reviews online, Luxe Bar & Bistro stood out, so we decided to give it a try -- and we're so glad we did. They have a large outdoor space, but of course, it started to rain as soon as we arrived. Luckily, they also have a covered front patio with a few chairs, which worked out perfectly. We each ordered two cocktails. I started with Under the Mistletoe -- Tito's, house-made rosemary simple syrup, lemon juice, topped with soda ($10). This was hands down the most delicious holiday drink I've had so far this season. It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and hit the spot. I also tried the seasonal special, a Pomegranate Cranberry Sangria ($10), which was equally good. My husband ordered the Tipsy Grinch-- Malibu rum, mango purée, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and soda water ($9.50). He said it was sweet but not overly sweet and really enjoyed it. He also had the Dirty Snowman Martini with RumChata, Disaronno Amaretto, vanilla vodka, and a cinnamon sugar rim ($13). He substituted almond milk for the half-and-half, and it was still creamy and delicious. We also had a great conversation with Natalie and quickly realized we had a lot in common, especially when it comes to dogs and the importance of pet safety. I always love meeting a fellow dog mom who shares the same values. The service and ambiance were excellent, and the space was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We will 100% be back -- and next time, we definitely plan on trying the food.

Meeting up for a coffee date I got to Magnolias a little early to settle in. The place is interesting and seems authentic, not like those damn yuppy and pretentious coffee shops with the late 90s liberal sitting in the corner writing the next "great American novel." No, this is a place pregnant ladies come with their family to get some coffee and what appears to be really good food. The place has nice wood tones on the floors and tables with simple seating and fake plants, which I can appreciate b/c I too have fake plants at my house b/c I kill live ones! As for the staff, they're prompt and receptive of what you want to drink as well as giving suggestions. I got there when a much younger late 20 something was working so I tried to spark up a conversation. The young lady looked American, blonde and cute but when she spoke pure Latino! Oddly enough I was meeting a 33-year-old Latino for our first date here (yes, I brushed up on my Spanish, but I just moved from Austin so np here). She was a nice lady but she did forget about my drink order so not as good of a barista as one might desire. But honestly, I was superficial at the moment and she was cute so I overlooked the imperfection. The case had some tasty looking treats like croissants but I refrained. My advice is try one! While I'm a medium roast coffee kind of guy and I like my coffee like the women I date; hot, sweet and blonde. I vary my selection by what I'm in the mood for, sometimes latte, sometimes hot or iced, sometimes mocha, you get the drift; and yes I'm talking about coffee (get your mind out of the gutter). But what I do appreciate is creativity in a beverage and a joint with the courage to put a creation on their menu, Magnolias doesn't have that as they're more straight forward. Instead I opted for the latte with 2 shots caramel, 1 vanilla and one toasted marshmello; try it you'll thank me later. I just wish they had more options like almond. Oh to add, I ordered my date a latte and she acted as if it was water and downed it in 5 minutes, so much for sipping and enjoying. In summary, Magnolia's coffee is really good with what looks as great food. Add to that they create an environment where one can feel safe while sitting inside or just stopping by for a quick interaction with nice employees while waiting for food and it's a recipe for success. While I didn't sample their "edibles" (how's my parking?) they looked wonderful. To finish, the employees are great people, the ambiance is fun and the coffee is great. Stop by if you want something good to pick yourself up or rub elbows with a future leader of America.
