No words to describe how incredible this place is. This spot is a tiny hole in the wall along Ventura close to De Soto. My coworker, Daniel, actually recommended this spot and we had it a few weeks ago for take out to order for the entire office. I was in love with their burgers and was excited to come back! We had a half day today at work due to the holidays so we decided to make a trip out for lunch. Lots of people coming in and out but my bf and I decided to dine in. Gary, I believe he's the owner, greeted us and took our order. He was extremely nice and so very generous. We weren't sure what sauces to order at the time but he said we could ask later once we decide and he'll happily give them to us. He even gave us a second drink, on the house! Food came out quick, we sat inside by the window and he brought us our food. He asked if we needed any ranch and I said sure since we had ranch. I also got a side of their smash sauce for dipping my burger in because that's just how I roll. It was as delicious as I remember and destroyed it. My bf loved it as well and it was his first time having it. The best thing about it tbh is the soft, Hawaiian style bread. Half way through our meal, another young gentleman asked how everything was and we told him how delicious and great everything was! Another older man walked in to grab a bite and said it was his first time here and that he was only driving by. I hope he loves it just as much as we do! I didn't think of it til later. I think they overcharged me. Not happy about this. When they say "Let's Smash" I didn't expect to be the one getting smashed. Went here 2 sat nights ago after 8pm. I got a notification on Yelp that a smash burger place is getting some good reviews. My kids have been wanting to try smash burger so why not. I know location is key but I'm not a fan of where this place is located - really hard to find a spot in this block on a weekend night. However since we are only ordering to - go I managed to just stop and park in the drop off so I can place my order and go back around. When we came in there were no customers and the guy who took my order seemed to not have the system down yet. Would suggest a better system than writing the orders in the boxes.. the other guy was quick enough to start setting up the grill for my order. Maybe I'm not a fan of smash burgers in general but it seems that the elements of a smash is the sauce and a good bun. I would say that their sauce and bread is good. I can't really taste the meat especially I got a single. I ordered 2 singles and 1 double meal with Cajun fries. Maybe I'll need to try another smash burger place to compare. Also the cajun fries are not the best sadly. I feel like it wasn't seasoned well. Maybe we came at a bad night. The burger is solid. I was super craving a burger and this place never freezes their patties and it's good. They even have a burger salad. I got triple patty cuz I love meat and two cheeses instead of three. The fat drops and it is good. It's not overly messy- I didn't taste the raw onions I asked for but it's fine. I asked what kind of oil they use and the nice cashier isn't sure but thinks it is inflammatory vegetable oil. We have been meaning to try Let's Smash for a few weeks now and finally went in today. We immediately loved the friendly vibes and ambiance. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. But most importantly , the food was top notch. I got sliders and curly fries and my husband had the smash burger and regular fries and we both loved our meals. Amazing service, really delicious food and chill vibes. We didn't wait long for our food and it was so fresh and just perfect. Their sauces are all must try's and go so well with the food items. They also have outdoor seating which is perfect especially for warmer nights. They are open late , conveniently located , parking on the street on a busy Friday night was available. I recommend the spicy jalapeño double smashburger. For an extra $5~, you can make it a combo with fries and a drink. I like the curly fries here! The patty is not the best patty Ive had compared to other smashburgers. I think if the edges were crispier, it'd be even better. Also, I think their use of ketchup on the burger is a bit overpowering sometimes.. I rather taste the other sauces, not ketchup. Next time I visit, I am definitely gonna try the "doggy style" fries! Its their loaded fries with the patty and other burger toppings. The cons here is the price. Its around $17~ for a spicy double smashburger combo. Any extra anything, even sauce, costs extra. I had this place delivered to me at work! So I may try it again and update this review. I got the Cajun fries and double smash burger. The beef patties lacked flavor and I feel that they need a better sauce to tie the flavors together. It was in the sweet side and I believe that use sweet pickles and I absolutely hate the flavor of a sweet pickle. The fries were suppose to be Cajun but they were regular shoe string fries with a Cajun seasoned sprinkled on it for the extra charge not worth it. They made it to me soggy that could be due to the car ride from delivery but fries are nothing to rave about. The overall quality of the burger and ingredients were fresh and good. I have had not been to the restaurant so I will fine this another try inside their establishment. Hopefully the food and experience will be better. The burger tastes better than it looks, I was pleasantly surprised. The smash patties had a very nice crust, the bun was pillow soft but the sauce was what set this burger off. The spicy smash sauce is great to dip the burger and fries. Not sure if I liked the Cajun fries or curly fries better so just get both when you going, you won't be disappointed. I can't recommend ENOUGH checking out Lets Smash in LA for TRULY good smash burgers, rather than just being another overhyped spot. Looking for a spot that wasn't just another disappointment when it comes to the hype around it, I decided to give Lets Smash a try, which I hadn't heard of before and appeared to be relatively new. Oh, I'm so glad I did!! It's a small spot, not quite hole-in-the-wall, but definitely easy to overlook if you're not looking out for it. The guys inside were very enthusiastic about their burgers and sharing with us a detailed explanation of the different menu options, what's in it, and their special sauce. Now feeling a sense of even greater excitement and anticipation, they quickly prepared our burgers and we went onto the outdoor patio (which had really warm heaters) to give them a try. Let me tell you - these smash burgers are GOOD. I mean, VERY good. Like when I first bit into it, my eyes opened up and I said 'WOW'! The patties are tender and have just the right amount of crispiness contrasting with the juiciness, the sauce complements it perfectly, and the size is perfect for filling you up without being too much. Oh yeah, and the curly fries were yummy as well! Perfect crunch, well seasoned, and comes with extra sauce to dip them into! As I keep saying, I can't recommend this place ENOUGH.
