Yelp event steered us to try this place out. We rang the bell and were greeted by a very cheerful woman who took our order at the window. Two gargantuan salads were ready in about 5 minutes with frozen water to keep them cold on the way home! We first ate the "bistro" with tender chicken, mixed greens, candied walnuts, blue cheese, dried cranberries and tomatoes and we chose raspberry vinaigrette dressing --large enough for 2 . fresh and delicious--what a great value for $11. They now have a walk up window downtown right next to better bowls witches on the same street as the post office so everybody should really know where that is. It is very convenient. I am hooked on Lettuce Eat!!! I would have never known about this place had it been one afternoon I didn't bring lunch to work and I posted on Yelp talk for suggestions on lunch that delivers and our fantastic Yelp Ambassdor McKenzie suggested Lettuce Eat. I'll always try a restaurant more than once before reviewing about it, or in this case... a food delivery company, unless it was extremely memorable and who can really go wrong with salads? So I decided to not only try the salads, but the healthy choice entrees to make sure I didn't only write a review based only on salads because who can get salads wrong? So, the way it works is... Lettuce Eat posts their menu every week on Facebook on what they will be serving for the week and then you decide from there. Then you send them a text with your order and it says that we should place our orders before 9:30am, but I find it better to order the night before just in case they run out of certain items that you want. It's ridiculous that they charge an "x" amount and give so much food. I feel like I'm cheating on Lettuce Eat because the prices are affordable and they give so much food. I think a whole salad could probably feed 2-3 people and the lunch choices could also feed 2-3 people. Some people are probably reading this and are like... I don't want salads, but don't be fooled, they have so many different kinds of salads and so many different kinds of dressings that your choices have so many different possibilities. I couldn't tell you what my favorite is right now because I am still deciding on what I like the most. I definitely would recommend Lettuce Eat! First heard of this place through a Yelp event. I have ordered twice since and loved both times! At some point I want to try a Cesar wrap but I'm borderline obsessed with the Italian salad with double Italian dressing. It hits the spot so perfectly every time! The dressing pairs sooooo well with the salad, that I salivate thinking about it. I love that I can text my order. My husband and I don't really enjoy talking on the phone, so texts are wonderful. I texted at like 9pm the night before and got a response with confirmation at like 6:00 the next morning. I was up feeding my baby but also leave my phone on silent always, so this doesn't bother me one bit. I immediately paid with Venmo and the food was dropped off before our needed time, which was super nice because we were ready for lunch early! There is a minimum of two salads (or just any two meals) per order.... And we got two of the same lol. I've ordered delivery to my work on three occasions with each delivery feeding me for four lunches at $14 total. Whenever I forget to bring my lunch or just too tired to cook the night before I simply send them a text message before 9AM that day and my salads for the rest of the week are delivered to me before noon. They accept credit card and send a receipt right away via email or text. I've tried the Bistro, Apple Feta, Chef's, and Taco Salad. Here are my thoughts on each one. The Bistro - I always include the Bistro for at least one of the orders because it's everything I hope a salad should taste like. It has blue cheese, dried cranberries, cherry tomato, candied walnuts, and chicken. I recommend the balsamic vinaigrette with the Bistro as it perfectly complements all the ingredients in the salad. The Apple Feta - my second choice of the four. Feta Cheese, apples, dried cranberries, and chicken. I tried this with the honey mustard poppy seed, but I think I want to give this salad another try with a different dressing because the mustard really doesn't mix well with the apples and cranberries. Chef's - This was a pretty typical Chef's salad. I've never like Chef's salad and this still has not converted me. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible... I just think all Chef's salads are a bit too much of an overkill. I tried this with the creamy cilantro dressing. I did like this dressing, but just it is a little on the heavy side. Probably recommend this dressing on days when calories don't count. Taco - They serve the healthiest version of the taco salad. It really was decent and if they offered a side of avocado or guacamole (even as an extra charge) this would easily make it to my second go to salad. My only complaint is the dressing that I chose with it. I am not a fan of the chipotle lime dressing. It has a kick to it, which isn't the issue, but it just tasted like cold leftover sauce. The creamy cilantro is the only dressing that would work with this salad. I don't know why I didn't choose that dressing in the first place! I'm really looking forward to trying the other salads in the coming weeks as well as the Wednesday's Mac and Cheese, which I've seen several Facebook comments raving about. I would recommend this to anyone with a busy lifestyle that can't spend the extra hours prepping lunches for the week. These salads are healthy yet filling and you won't be disappointed. A few coworkers and I tried food from Lettuce Eat today for the first time. From my first inital interaction with the staff to the delivery of the food they were very nice and professional. They emailed me an order form. We filled it out with what we wanted, i took a picture of it and text it to the number on the form the day before we wanted lunch delivered. The next day (today) it was delivered at around 10:40am. All of our orders were in individual bags with our names on them. Half of us paid cash and the other half of us paid with card. The gentlemen who delivered our food was very nice. Now, onto the food. Holy smoke was it good. We all ordered the tri tip with green beans and bacon with different salads on the side. I ordered a chef salad with ranch for mine. All of the food was really tasty and fresh, and they give you a lot. We couldn't believe the quality and quantity of the food and only for $9, no delivery charge (there has to be at least two orders for delivery). It is so convenient too, especially on a day like today where it rained and you do not want to leave to get lunch. All of my coworkers said they enjoyed it. I think a few of my other coworkers were a bit jealous of our lunches cause quite a few asked where we got it and they took copies of the order form.
