Level 3 Fitness is a wonderful space with several trainers and other body work specialists. David Jacobs is the trainer I work with. He is one of the founders and is an amazing person. David caters to every clients needs. In my case this has been strength building for skiing, tennis and other sports to physical therapy for torn ligaments for skiing. Level 3 is very involved in the community and trains people of all ages. Level 3 has been a participant in the Fight For Air Climb for several years. This stair climb benefiting the American Lung Association has participants climb 56 flights of stairs in Republic Plaza downtown. 2019 was my first year doing it and with David and Level 3's support I climbed 1098 stairs. It was challenging but made much easier due to learning proper breathing and leg arm techniques. With a large parking lot you won't have to worry about rushing to get into your session. The positives: I was called from the waiting room promptly for my $175 evaluation appointment, the exam room was very nice, and my therapist was very friendly and professional. I particularly appreciated her offer to respond to email, text, or calls if I ran into problems. The negatives: I was told that the person recommended to me was no longer present, his replacement was no longer available, and I have to wonder about staff turnover. Regarding the value I received for my $175 evaluation: A quarter page of handwritten notes were provided, but they were a far cry from professional reports generated at other offices. I was also emailed a pdf handout of exercises, none of which I was able to do because they showed pictures instead of videos and had text that lacked specifics to carry out the activities without guessing. I emailed about clarifications, and was told I could extend my next appointment by 15 minutes (for $37.50) but it could be fit into my weekly $75 half-hour. I declined based on the useless evaluation and the unusable exercise instructions. If the owners are reading this evaluation, my advice is to invest in materials that augment the in-office experience, like proper activity instructions and real reports. read more

I can't tell you how happy I am. I have a new injury to my right knee and wanted to come see Neil Bogan. But I should've come to see him 2 years ago when I hurt my ACL. Today he addressed a ton of issues left over from the old injury and gave me the perfect information for this new one. He was precise, literal, visual and used anatomical information that I appreciate. I am an athlete and while I am not young, I still have a long way to go. Neil helped some old pain go away and we have some excellent exercises for this new injury that are dynamic and provoking. I can't say enough how pleased I am!!!!!!! read more

I stated going to David weekly 6 years ago on the recommendation of a friend. I couldn't move my neck from left to right and was in constant pain. My back hurt. I had numbness in my hands. Expensive doctors and injections at the surgical center were of little help. I am now pain free, have complete mobility of my neck and all my joints and am in better shape now than when I started. I have worked out with both Lennon McCarthy and Sarah Arbess and they both definitely know their stuff. I am moving better after a long period of being a total slacker. I have yo-yoed with regard to being on a good workout regimen, and in the past, when coming off of a period of dormancy, I have really beat myself up about how much fitness level I had lost. I do not do that here, because everything I am asked to do it's just the right level of challenge. As someone who needs accountability in order to work out, I appreciate having this supportive, friendly place close to home without the feel of a chain gym. I want to write a review on behalf of David Jacobs at Level 3 Fitness. I am an "older" athlete with hip and knee problems and I was facing hip surgery. I wanted to explore alternatives to a surgeon putting "hardware" in my body or injecting my joints with steroids. David's approach was to help me work with what I had, and to show me strengthening exercises and ways to reduce pain around the joints. I am pleased to say that the approach Level 3 took to my body worked. No, I did not magically roll back the clock, but I am able to work out relatively pain free and I have been able to resume exercise and generally feel better. There are no magic pills or potions, but with great trainers like David it is possible to make exercise and fitness a lifetime endeavor. I highly recommend David and the rest of the trainers and therapists. They are good people. read more

I have been training with Level 3 for over 3 years. David is not your typical trainer only interested in bulking out with muscles. This is about functional training - how can your body be the best it can be now and in the future. It is really designed to prevent the problems of aging, or deal with them if you have them.
