Coffee was amazing! I ordered two lattes (one hot and one iced) along with a butter croissant. The lattes were excellent--perfectly balanced with a bold coffee flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. The butter croissant was okay. Since their own bakery is next door, it looks like they make fresh baked goods everyday. I'd love to try some of their other pastries next time. And there will definitely be a next time because I'd come back just for the coffee alone. They also have their own parking area in the back, plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and a cool ambiance. It's a little on the pricey side, but in my opinion, it's totally worth it.

I have had this place bookmarked for years and haven't gone despite my parents living in Danville. I'll tell you why: it is deeeeep in Alamo lol. I finally made the trek today, and I wish I didn't wait so long! It's a darling area packed with neighboring small businesses. Parking looks limited at first glance, but they have more spots when you drive through the gate to the right of the shop. Plenty of seating! They have a front patio, back patio, and tables/chairs overlooking the creek. I love the woodwork inside, the huge wall mural, and the antique-looking furniture really adds to the vibe. They also have a kid-friendly menu which feels family-oriented. I like their music, but it's just a *little* too loud and I could hear the table next to me trying to talk over it. Cappuccino ($5.85): I had a choice between medium (more acidic) or dark roast, and I opted for dark. It was perfect :) Can't wait to come back to yap in the sunshine with friends or work solo for a few hours. I'll try the matcha or Ironhorse iced coffee next time!

I tried a vanilla latte and their ham and Swiss twist pastry. Loved the latte and that all of their syrups are house-made and their shots are pulled ristretto! When you order coffee they also give you an option on the roast type. The pastry was good, but I prefer my pastries on the soft and chewy side vs toasted and flaky. The inside is cute with lots of seating. There were quite a few people working, studying and reading inside on a Sunday. There is also a small back patio and a few tables on the front patio. Parking is a bit tough as it's on the end of a bunch of store fronts but there's a small lot around the back.

Quaint and cozy local cafe - from the outside it appears Tahoe-like. Cute outdoor seating in front where we sat. Always happy to support a local joint. Argh. Just realized - don't have a pic of the drinks. Definitely worth checking out though to catch some local vibe in Alamo.

I really like it here to stop by and get some reflection time in. It's off the freeway in a small little strip. They have a little parking lot in the back too. Great place to study or do work. Tables aren't the same and each has a different character. Tables outside too. I've only had their drinks: matcha, affogato, and cold brew. All were really good. They have specials too like cold brew with coconut cream. Staff is pleasant and friendly.

Great ambience, perfect place to hang out and chat or read. Coffee was great and so was the pastry! My friend got focaccia and it was really large and delicious. Will definitely come again!

Came here and had a delicious iced vanilla latte. Sat outside though there were tons of seating options, both indoor and outdoor including options with views of the creek. Staff were very helpful and friendly and were giving out very generous portions of sandwich samples. I tried a sample of the new turkey sandwich on homemade ciabatta bread - absolutely loved it!

When walking inside this coffee shop, it reminded me of being in a cowboy setting. I really like the interior and how they put this together. There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. There is a good selection of coffee and baked goods. While there is parking in the front, there is also parking in the back too. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and when I got it, it tasted like a latte with no vanilla. I even had my husband try it, and he said that it tasted like a latte with no vanilla either. When I asked for vanilla to the barista they gave me a look and put the vanilla in. I feel like the vanilla was forgotten about and in the end, the drink was mediocre. I will come back to give them another chance, but overall my experience is a 3/5.

A really cute coffee shop tucked away on one of the main roads. Here you'll find a quality cup of coffee served with care, expertise and a smile. Enjoy a sip while sitting on their patio which overlooks rolling hills and trees. It's definitely worth a trip!

Great service! Christian helped us find the perfect order, a brown sugar whole milk latte and bacon breakfast sandwich on focaccia! The sandwich was the best I've had! Super fresh ingredients and the aioli is crazy! Super cute!

Real chill spot. Lots of students studying and stuff. Pretty good coffee. Staff is nice.

Nice little spot in town. I was told it had very delicious coffee but I found it average. Customer service was medium, I say this because when my order was ready and I said thank you the barista just stared at me. A bit pretentious place for me. Great outdoor seating though.

Love this cafe! The interior is so relaxing and exactly a place you need to relax or study. There's parking in the front and back. I've been wanting to try this place for over a year and excited to finally do so. Service was very kind! I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk + sweetened with honey. Definitely one of the better matcha lattes I've had in the area. They use a chawan & chasen to lather their matcha! I'd definitely come back to try one of their food options.

There were 12 different flavors in the sampler ranging from standard red velvet or vanilla cake, to some fancier ones such as poppy seed cake with lemon curd. They were able to make our whole cake gluten-free due to my own allergy. I have had celiac for almost 20 years, and still can't even bake anything remotely edible after countless attempts. From the moment you step inside, there is an unmistakable warmth to the space not just from the ovens but from the overall vibe. It is bright, upbeat, and welcoming in a way that immediately puts you at ease and sets the tone for a great experience. We started with the Pop Tarts which deserve special recognition. These are not novelty pastries. They are elevated, flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor. The kind of treat that makes you pause mid bite and immediately realize this place takes its craft seriously. The breakfast burrito was equally impressive. Hearty, well balanced, and comforting without being heavy, it was clearly made with intention and quality ingredients rather than shortcuts. The waffles with blueberries and whipped cream were outstanding. Crisp on the outside and soft and airy on the inside, with fresh blueberries that added brightness and a whipped cream that felt light and indulgent rather than overly sweet. It was the kind of dish that manages to feel nostalgic and refined at the same time. Then came the pastries. Any attempt at restraint disappeared quickly. Everything in the case looked incredible and after tasting the first few items it became obvious that passing on anything would have been a mistake. We ended up buying far more pastries than planned simply because the quality across the board was that high. There were no weak links. What truly elevates Life Is Sweet beyond excellent food is the energy of the place. There is a positivity that fills the room and it is completely effortless. It makes you want to slow down, sit longer, and enjoy where you are. Whether you are stopping in for a quick breakfast or lingering with coffee and conversation, the environment naturally lifts your mood. Life Is Sweet is not just a bakery or breakfast spot. It is a place that genuinely enhances your day. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is inviting, and the experience stays with you well after you leave.
