I recently stayed at this hotel on a trip to New York City for a five night stay. For context, I haven't stayed in a lot of hotels of in New York City, so my frame of reference might be a little off. Do travel regularly, and have stayed in numerous hotels. I picked this hotel, in part, because it was somewhat outside of the typical tourist areas. I didn't want to deal with the crowds of Times Square or Rockefeller Center every time I step out the door. speaking of the location, it's just above the Lower East side. I also felt it was close enough to the tourist areas if that's what you wanted, but far enough away to as not be part of it. Sometimes, however, getting places on Westside was made a little bit trying as the walk to the two closest subway lines where further away than I am used to. However, the area has plenty of conveniences like restaurants, parks and coffee shots. In fact, there is a a great convenience store right next door. It was also short walk or bus ride form Gramercy and the East Village. The hotel and room itself were clean. My room was small and I had a view of brick wall, but that's New York for you. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with the essentials. They also had an amazing rooftop with great skyline views. The hotel offers a few help conveniences at no extra charge like tea and coffee service, room cleaning ever two day upon request and a daily continental breakfast. I also found the staff friendly and helpful. There were a few negatives. First, they did not have gym. Second, for most of stay the hallways were absolutely freezing. For context, it was in the 60s for most of my stay. Third, the room lacked a microwave and refrigerator. In sum, this is a hotel has most everything you need and nothing you don't. If want a good hotel on the East side this place should be on your list.

Cute little hotel on Lexington & 25th in NYC. Conveniently located (I was having surgery at NYU Hospital the next morning and wanted to be close). The hotel's rooftop is a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee and something to read. The room I stayed in wasn't huge but it was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. There are also plenty of good places to eat, drink and shop in the neighborhood.

Just attacked by Mr Patrick Troutman front desk manager. He Attempted to take my cellphone possibly breaking my right hand thumb. They overcharged me $2,000. In June of 2022 and again in September of 2022 $12,000.00. Avoid this hotel. Wicked people and noisy rooms no compensation for the lack of quiet enjoyment at $319.00 a night. Strange people and stranger operation. Mold in room 003. No compensation for ER and Rx visit.

    Very clean and modern bathroom

I reserved this hotel last minute on Hotel.com due to the points I get and for good ratings so far. I was told this hotel is only new 14 months ago. As everyone knows, hotels in NY Manhattan can be pricy but what I like for is simple - free good wifi connection (a must), TV, free breakfast (even if only continental), has hair dryer, and no extra hidden fees is required on my list...especially. Who wants to pay extra $25 fees for parking or hotel misc fees? We never rent a car in the city anyway!! The lobby entrance was not too big but it was nice and modern looking. The staff was pretty helpful but not so friendly that we spoke to. I guess not paid to have a conversation with you! ;p This small hotel was perfect for us and located near many things I wanted to see. The room may have been a little small compared to other hotels we stayed in but it was new and everything worked. The bed was clean and comfy. We stayed on the first floor (room 101) with a window facing the back wall so we didn't have a view of the city but another building. I was going to request a higher room but my husband was ok with it. Actually, after the first night, view of the city was not needed as we were barely in the room, we didn't have to ride the elevator and we were always arriving late back to the hotel; we just slept anyway. The bathroom was nice, clean, modern and good room for the two of us. The shower head worked; was clean and good for tall folks! The continental breakfast was good enough for us offering many pastries, coffee, juices and some fruit. It's only offered from 6:30a-9a. If I had to go back to NY Manhattan, I would definitely stay here again!

For this Marriott the location is excellent if you are going to watch a show on Broadway. Very convenient for the play and also get a subway to anywhere else you have to go. The rooms are generally very nice and this hotel also has everything connected and controlled through a tablet which is very appealing to me. They also have a nice bar right in the hotel that is open till late. The only downside is the size. Now hotels in major cities like this like New York or Tokyo are small and pricey. Two things that can sort of negatively affect your opinion but considering they are all like that in the area, you have to compare accordingly. The only real downside for me is that the toilet is literally next to to the shower to the point that you could shower while using the toilet (I took a picture of my hand holding the shower handle on top of the toilet seat as a joke) and the sink is outside to wash your hands after using the restroom. I feel that they could have done a better design for this to avoid it. It didn't appeal to me and it's the only thing keeping me from giving this hotel 5 stars. I will probably stay here again when I go to watch another play.

You enter on the first floor, but the lobby is on the sixth floor. I was having flashbacks to Tokyo... There are four elevators, and when I checked in, the place was packed. Some event must have been going on because getting an elevator was an adventure (a sad one). It didn't help that everyone had to take an elevator just to reach the lobby, then another to get to their room. Fortunately, I was only on the ninth floor...so I got my steps in. The room itself was mostly ok. One thing I really didn't like was the air conditioning. It wouldn't cool below 68 degrees. I despise hotels that throttle the A/C. I'd get warm, the air would finally kick on, I'd be comfortable for about ten minutes...then the cycle would repeat all night. Another thing that caught me off guard was the ceiling. Maybe they're going for an industrial look, but it was basically unfinished concrete. Other than those complaints, everything else in the room was perfectly acceptable, and for a one night stay, it did the job.

The Library Hotel is every bit as charming as people say, but what really makes it special is the team. I arrived by car while the building was hidden behind scaffolding, and the front desk was incredibly kind and patient, helping guide me to the loading area so I didn't spend my afternoon circling the block. Housekeeping was so gracious and helpful throughout my stay, the bartender at Bookmarks very kindly helped my friend carry our drinks down to the room, and checkout took less than 30 seconds. Every interaction was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. The themed rooms are such a fun touch (I loved seeing how each one was inspired by a different subject), but I also have to give a shout-out to the practical things. I took a few work video calls from my room on the 12th floor, and the Wi-Fi was ridiculously good - honestly stronger than the Wi-Fi in my own house when I'm sitting five feet from the modem. Not a second of lag. The TV also had a ton of premium channels, which was such a fun surprise after long days exploring the city. And finally, a standing ovation for the real MVP: the air conditioning. New York was basically a sauna while I was there, and every time I walked back into my room I was greeted by the most glorious arctic blast. It was so good that my friends ended up wanting to hang out in my room and order dinner instead of going back out into the heat. Perfect stay from beginning to end. I can't wait to come back.
