Fist off, let me say they have really beautiful floral arrangements. I have received some truly beautiful pieces from my husband for my birthday, Valentine's Day and other special occasions. I order from here to share these amazing arrangements with others. This review is for the recent interaction with the management. I ordered a smaller floral arrangement for my mom's birthday (she specifically requested a smaller arrangement for this year) and she received it 9pm in the evening, and noticed one of hydrangeas had wilted. I found this to be surprising given I have always received perfect arrangements so I called Lexis Florist the next day. At first I spoke with Debra who was very nice and offered replacement flower. But we were all befuddled that the flowers got to my mother so late because their delivery record shows it got delivered at noon. I chalked it up as one of those mysteries in life and moved on with my day. Then I got a call from a man, who is suppose to be the manager of the store. He took a stern tone with me and asked me to explain exactly what had happened, because he was sure that the flowers had been delivered by noon, based on their record "I know the driver was home by 2pm, I know that for sure" he says. The whole conversation felt accusatory. I think at one point he said "your mom must have received this flower from someone who else, she must have received two arrangements." He said he was calling to ensure that there was no security breach of some sort but judging by his tone, he was not happy with our version of story. Maybe that's his style but not great for customer service. I got off the phone with this man feeling bewildered and felt like I very much had to defend my mother, even though the real issue here is that the flowers she received for her birthday were wilted. Which in itself is an issue that's easily resolved. It's the subsequent customer service that's truly bewildering. To be honest, the man who delivered my gorgeous anniversary flower last month was also bit rude to my husband on the phone, which he later shared with me but we just thought well whatever because I loved the flowers. These factors combined make me want to take my business elsewhere, which I think is a real shame, because the flowers themselves are simply gorgeous. The customer service aspect of things however (delivery, manager) could use improvement, which I hope owners take into consideration. read more

I live overseas and needed to send condolence flowers to my step brother in Houston. I found Lexus on line after much searching in Houston to find the right arrangement. I placed the order and a few days later wanted to know if they had been delivered. Lexus is currently the only florists who does not have tracking nor do they have a delivery confirmation email. I sent several "contact us" messages asking if indeed the flowers had been delivered to no reply. I then sent a polite email with my order attached asking again..I received a curt reply saying the time they had been delivered. Courtesy in a message would have been a thank you for your order and sorry to have been delayed in getting back to you. I thought the south was renowned for their hospitality and protocol. read more

I had a sudden operation on my foot that left me out of commission for quite a few days. The day of my procedure, I went home feeling loopy from my pain meds. Not being able to walk, I plopped on the couch, elevated my leg, and turned on the Sex in the City marathon. I did not move for literally 4 hours until I heard a knock at my door... While I pathetically limped to the door to see who it was, I caught a glimpse of bold bright colors but it still didn't sink in (I don't often take medicine so I assumed hallucinations were to be a side effect). I opened the door to find a FOUR FOOT TALL arrangement of the most beautiful orchids, calla lilies, roses, and birds of paradise twisted around large shoots of bamboo. (See photo in business review.) I was beyond surprised! The kind delivery man helped carry the larger-than-life exotic, floral masterpiece into my townhome as he could tell I was in no place to do it myself. (What a gentleman!) Apparently my wonderful boyfriend called Lexis Florist and requested the largest bouquet they had in stock. And, boy, did they deliver! Needless to say, BIG bonus points for the boyfriend!! I'm with Sonia T... the only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are a bit pricey to use as a regular, everyday florist. But to celebrate special moments- this is where I would go! I have been doing business with this florist for years. Their arrangements are truly beautiful. However, their delivery and customer service leave a lot to be desired. Yesterday, Valentine's Day, was also my wedding anniversary. I ordered a beautiful arrangement of roses for my wonderful wife over two weeks ago. By 3 PM, the flowers had still not been delivered. I called Lexis. The lady told me that they had over 300 orders to deliver, and that they started with the bigger orders and moved down from there. I was in the third tier. The flowers I had bought to surprise my wife did not arrive until 9:30 PM, by which time I had given up on getting them and had told my wife about the surprise. When I called Lexi's today I was told that I had to understand that it was Valentine's Day and they had a lot of orders. I explained that was not my problem. That was their problem. Hire more drivers! Take less orders! Do whatever you have to do to meet your obligations! But don't tell me I'm not important enough to get my flowers delivered before 9:30 PM at night or that you were not prepared for the busiest day of your business year. The flowers here are incredibly expensive. I expected much better and was bitterly disappointed. They did offer to cut the price of the flowers, but I am not interested in the money. If I was interested in the money, I would not have purchased the flowers. I was interested in surprising my wife on Valentine's Day/our wedding anniversary and in letting her know how much I appreciate and love her. I relied on Lexis to help me do this. And they failed! Miserably!! I declined the money and I will decline doing business with this florist ever again. And so should you. if you do, don't blame me if you are disappointed. I'm overdue in providing this feedback, but better late than never... When I moved to Houston, I got a couple recommendations for Lexis. I checked their website & the work looked amazing. I placed an order & to was stunning. I continued to order & was always pleased with the outcome. I finally visited the location & had a great experience there. All things were "rosy" until Valentine's Day 2017. As always, I placed my order online & received confirmation. The flowers were to be delivered to my spouse's workplace & did not arrive before close of business. I called & spoke to three different people - none of which could tell me what was happening. The last person only said, "sorry, they'll be delivered tomorrow". Needless to say, I was completely disappointed - I was told there would be no refund, no future discounts, etc. I told her I was a repeat customer & that was no way to keep my business. She again just said sorry. I've not done business with them since and have no desire to give them a second chance based on the poor responses I received when calling in distress that evening. read more

I told them I was disappointed and the response was "the flowers were delivered yesterday". YES they were. BUT a full day late and after 8 pm. Beautiful flowers, horrible customer service. I called two days ahead and had to keep calling back to see if they would have a certain flower in their inventory. I called back almost 6 times. How do you not know your inventory or what you have on your truck? My typical florist will tell me exactly what they ordered or have in stock along with what is peak season. On top of that I gave my information to one person and when I called back again had to give my information twice to another woman. I requested two floral arrangements for a centerpiece for a dinner and they didn't even put in my request for the square vase and/ or the box to transport them. read more

Summary: $330 down the tubes because of poorly managed delivery. I got a groupon to deliver $300 worth of flowers to someone. They asked me to add $30 for delivery. I ordered over 2 weeks in advance for a non-special September date. What could go wrong, right? I called that morning and the flowers were not delivered. They had a 3pm delivery deadline. I asked them to change it to 2pm because the person was going to leave their office by 3pm. They said sure. Then I called again at 1:15 wondering if the flowers were going to make it. They said that it said 3pm and no one had changed the time, but the flowers were heading out and should be there. Then I called again at 2pm, and I was told that the flowers were not on their way. I got annoyed. I was told that in fact they are on their way but who knows when they might reach. I asked if they could talk to the delivery person and i was told that there is no way to get in touch with the delivery person. That they don't communicate with them. I was also told that I should have called earlier! Who knows if the flowers were nice. I have no idea if the arrangement was decent. Accurate on time delivery is 40% of the point of a flower business. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! My fiance sent flowers to my work the night after our engagement - 2 dozen pink roses. They were delivered on time but they looked awful! Several flowers were dead and overall they were not the quality that he expected or paid for. I called and asked to have my flowers replaced and they assured me they could come exchange the flowers the next day. However, the flowers did not arrive the next day. I had to call and email again to get my replacement flowers. The original order arrived on Friday and I did not receive the replacements until the following Tuesday (after several follow ups). I had to exchange the old ones for this new batch but..... I only received HALF of the original order - only 13 flowers out of the original 24!!! The flowers were beautiful but not equal to what my finance had ordered or paid for. I called again and tried to get an explanation or compensation for the lack of quality and service I had received during this experience. The manager was not in and the girl on the phone offered to replace the flowers AGAIN. I did not want to try again just to receive another questionable delivery. After having to suggest a refund they finally agreed. I would not recommend Lexis to anyone. Their flowers (when alive and healthy) are very beautiful but the service was very disappointing and the cost is not worth it. read more

Trying to write a review for these people is very difficult for me because every time I start writing I start to sound like one of the crazy people who type in all caps with lots of exclamation points. I promise you, I am not one of these crazy people who is dissatisfied with everything no matter how good it is. I am, however, someone who doesn't want to let anyone else be swindled by this company. To summarize my experience, I hired them to provide centerpieces, bouquets, etc for my wedding. I knew exactly what I wanted, the owner wrote it all down, then on my wedding day, none of the flower arrangements delivered were correct (I wasn't there to refuse delivery). They sent bright red centerpieces instead of light purple, all the boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets, including my bridal bouquet were the wrong color, and no one was available at the business to take my calls. Bridesmaid and aunt went out and bought new flowers at some cheap place nearby while we tried to repurpose the few that we could to have enough flowers for what we needed. Looking back, with all that's happened, especially now that I have these terrible cheap replacement flowers in my wedding photos forever, I wish we had just thrown them all in the trash and had a flower-less wedding. Okay, so they messed up. It happens, mistakes are made, I can completely understand that. Give us a refund, call it a day - should be simple. Well, long (very long) story short, they refused. They insisted I was the one who messed up, they insisted that because the flowers were beautiful (who cares if the red clashes with the purple color scheme!) and I reused a few of the flowers in other bouquets that they weren't at fault and shouldn't have to refund us anything. They agreed to refund most of the cost several times, but after many weeks of them not sending the refund and I guess just hoping we would go away, I finally had to contact the BBB. In response they made up a return policy that we didn't follow (and having not existed before, how could we have followed it?) and now offered us 1/4 of the cost of the flowers in refund. The BBB saw this as sufficient to close the complaint - since I didn't find that acceptable, they SHOULD have had a mark on their BBB page (and I'm guessing more than one since their customer service is this atrocious) but because they clearly know how to work the system, they technically do not. In conclusion, I can't stress enough that you should NEVER trust them to provide flowers for your wedding. And on principle, I would never purchase any flowers from them for any reason. There are plenty of other small flower businesses in Houston that I'm sure would love to provide excellent service. To be clear, all our dealings were with the owner, so this isn't on some random employee. Not only are they arrogant, they are liars, and customer service for them doesn't exist. Between my experience and reading other recent reviews, you should assume that if you give them money, you will never see it again, even if your flowers don't arrive, are late, or are completely wrong. I'd give negative stars if I could. read more

I was first excited about working with this Florist for my best friends wedding. However things went south on the day of the wedding! The flowers were an hour late (-1*) and all of us in the bride's and groom's party were waiting anxiousely in church because we were supposed to take pictures with the flowers before the wedding starts. When the van for the Lexis Florist arrived, there was only one person "the driver" to do everything! Since there was not much time, the grooms men had to help bring in the flowers from the van and into the church (-2*)!! The driver forgot to bring the unity candle that was promised from the florist's shop so we had to improvise and used candles from the church office(-3*)!! Later on at the reception, the cake was missing the flowers (-4*)!! I am almost out of stars so I will finish by saying this: The flowers and the florists were beautiful but the service is lacking and unreliable!! read more

I was blown away by the recent bouquets and arrangement I had ordered for a company function! All three turned out beautifully and artistically creative. Arrangement had white calla lilies with floating pine cones (!!!) in the vase and heart marbles on the bottom. Absolutely gorgeous. And, the bouquets matched the arrangement with flowing calla lilies in blooms and buds. I would never have thought calla lilies for winter. But Lexis outdid themselves again! My company and I have never been disappointed with Lexis (7-years) - they've always come through for us even at the last minutes.
