The ONLY reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because its a bit pricey. Sure you can get cheaper flowers through 1800flowers, or flowers.com but honestly if I REALLY like the person or if its a super duper special occasion I will spring for the xtra dough. My dad once told my brother there are two things you never ever scrimp on when it comes to women--Diamonds and Flowers. I have used Lexis many times, but the last time I used them they sent my best friend's wife a GORGEOUS bouquet when they had a baby! I didn't have to worry about it getting there okay, and they loved it so much they took about 15 pictures of just the flowers. She said it completely made the room bareable being there for a couple of days and everyone ohhhed and ahhhed. (Warm Fuzzy for me) I would for sure recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

I have been going here for years! Lexis or the owner because that could be her daughers name. Cant remember, but definitely my favorite place to buy flowers in Houston and I buy flowers a lot! The prices are reasonable to me because it is well worth the final product. My girlfriend has always been so happy with every arrangement that has come from here. I won a gift certificate for this establishment at a silent auction. I called in an order and went to pick it up. The flowers I chose were a large $200 arrangement. The representative of Lexis Florist was speaking to an internet repair person when I entered and refused to acknowledge me for at least 10 minutes. When I told him I was picking up the flowers, he took my gift certificate, brought out a large box with an equally tall arrangement and turned back to speak to the repair man. He did not offer to help me walk the arrangement to my car and wouldn't even open the door for me. It was as though he felt he didn't need to provide "full service" since this was an item won through a silent auction, which I nonetheless paid for. I spent significant time trying to fit the flowers in my car and while the arrangement was really beautiful, it lasted no more than a week. Not worth the money and especially won't revisit for the less than pleasant service. read more

I received an orchid for Mothers' Day. Within 2 days, the blooms began to fall off. I called Lexis and told them my problem. They asked that I send pictures of the dying orchid. I called 23 times to speak to someone and they never returned my call. Finally, They said that since I did not call within 24 hours, it is not replaceable. I believe that you spend that amount of money and the plant begins to die that it should be replaced. I will never use or recommend Lexis again. Their customer service needs help. I ordered a dozen red roses for Valentine's Day. They were delivered on Monday and by Tuesday, two were wilted. By Wednesday, ten were wilted. I called the florist and talked to Sue Habib, the owner. She kept saying they have been in business for 30 years. Im not sure what that had to do with my bad roses, but that was the only explanation Sue could give me. I don't mind the jacked-up price for Valentine's Day, but for $200.00 I would like the entire arrangement to look good for more than one day. There are other florists in Houston that will stand behind their product and not just tell you to ignore the bad roses because they have been in business for a while. read more

In a word... STUNNING!!! Lexis delivers gorgeous arrangements EVERY time!!! The designers are phenomenal!!! Just make sure you ask for something artistic. Otherwise you may get something round that is like a spring mix in a glass fishbowl (which can be disappointing if you are choosing them because of their incredible designs). read more

Made very specific requests about a valentine's day arrangement because each element had specific meaning. Even made sure to specify a short square vase and a modern minimalistic design. I arrived and one of the flowers I had requested wasn't even in the arrangement (a phone call letting me know they didn't have any would have been nice) and the arrangement looked like something you find in the foyer of a victorian house. I've been using Lexis Florist for almost 10 years now, and there's a good reason why. They never fail to impress. Regardless of the occasion, every arrangement I've ever ordered has exceeded my expectations. In the 15 years I've been with my wife, Lexis Florist is hands down her favorite place from which she receives flowers. They really set the standard high. Some people may say they're expensive, but based on what? Quality? No. Attention to detail? No. Customer service? Again, no. You get what you pay for here, folks. I'm surprised to see all the bad reviews for Lexis on here as my experiences have always been good. My sister uses this place for work and has now sent me arrangements the past 2 years for my birthday from here as well. They are always beautiful and last a long time. Everyone at work comments on how pretty the flowers are too. I can't speak for customer service as I've never directly ordered flowers from them but they delivery guy has always been on time and friendly. i had been in the hospital for over 2 weeks with a broken foot.and it was just horrible couldn't really walk around the hospital at that time didn't have enough wheelchairs to go around. so stuck in that awful bed. watching too much t.v for my own good. in walks this bright big yellow, pink, blue and green beautiful floral arrangement!!!! it smelled so wonderful! the rest of the week and a half flew by.i rolled out of there with my arrangement. still looking and smelling good. love, love lexis florist!!!!!!!! never seen these flowers before. i called to see what kind and where they got them. I live in Minnesota and know and care about a young women in Texas. Her parents (also in MN) and I have ordered flowers for Ada - to be delivered to her work place - Sona Med Spas - at least 4 times - Me twice, and her parents twice. EACH time Ada has been thrilled with flowers sent. Yes, they are not cheap - BUT if you want something special and well designed Lexis is the place for you. Ada's birthday is coming up the end of this month and I will again be ordering a special flower gift to be sent to her work place - it will be ordered from Lexis Florist and I look forward to once again being satisfied and Ada being thrilled! RIPOFF! I called them to make me a small bouquet, gave detailed instructions, and arranged a pickup time. Not only did they get the entire order wrong, but they complained about me showing up "as they were closing" even after I asked when they closed. So I wait for them to remake the arrangement (12 sunflowers) and I am pushed to pay so they can close. I realize the next day that they charged me more than the original quote (and the arrangement I left with was half the size) so I called for a week to straighten it out. The woman calling herself the manager used language I would never expect for a company, spoke down to me, and told me the arrangement I left with "should have cost $250...not the $92 you paid as it is considered a wedding bouquet." I tried to reason with this women as even $92 for a dozen sunflowers was out of the question and she told me to "bring back the bouquet." I've never heard of bringing back flowers a week after buying them, but unfortunately they were long gone in the trash. Stay far far away from Lexis Florist! read more

While most of the flowers for my daughter's wedding were beautiful, the flowers for the aisle weren't what we requested or what I paid for. We gave her a photo of what we wanted and she said she would do just that. When I was escorted into the ceremony space I was surprised to not see the white rose petals in a very thick row down each side of the aisle runner. When I called and spoke with Sue over a week after the wedding (I kept calling and leaving messages but she didn't return my calls and she answered the 4th time I called) she said she doesn't mess up and she delivered the flowers and maybe the aisle was longer than she thought. I told her that her rep told me (by phone a couple of days after the wedding) she didn't know how the flowers were supposed to be arranged and that's why she sprinkled them down each side of the aisle. Sue proceeded to ask if I liked the other flowers and I told her they were fine but I am calling about the rose petals for the aisle. I am giving the low score because (1) we didn't get everything we paid for and (2) her poor attitude about it. read more

My experience with Lexis florist was phenomenal! They greeted me with a warm welcome when I first entered the establishment and helped me with my purchase from beginning to end. I heard about Lexis through a personal recommendation and when it was time to buy a birthday gift I decided to give them a try. I am not the smartest guy when it comes to deciding on flowers beyond the traditional dozen red roses but that was not a problem for the professionals at Lexis. I told them this year was a special year and I really needed to make a HUGE impression as this would mark a 60th birthday for a close family member. The team at lexis wasted no time introducing me to the beautiful arrangements that I never knew existed. They showed me amazing floral arrangements including long lilies that twisted into heart shapes, flowers that stacked on each other like wedding cakes, and their signature hand opened roses. The moment I saw the roses I knew that's what I wanted! The lexis team guided me through the creation process 100%. I decided to go with a arrangement called "Hearts of Callas". It was amazing, two dozen hand opened roses with lilies that twisted into a heart. The gift was the centerpiece of attention the entire night. It captured the conversation of all the guests attending the birthday and transformed a regular dinning room into what looked like a professionally catered serving area. I would defiantly recommend Lexis to everyone as this has now become my favorite flower shop in Houston. They made my life so much easier and I truly was impressed with the quality of the flowers and look of the arrangement.
