I was looking for a place to feel relaxed and safe due to the current circumstances. I read his reviews and was impressed. I text and got a very quick response. He had availability and I booked an appointment. I walked in though nervous Lexson was very reassuring. He was soft spoken and continued to be reassuring to me. The website was very easy to navigate and although I booked the wrong service it was easily corrected with one phone call and an updated text message confirmation. Had a massage with Alexson last week and it was amazing. He was friendly and very professional. I have had to repeat myself in the past when I tell a masseuse at other locations in the neighborhood that I want a relaxing massage and do not want deep tissue as they always try to work the knots out (which I don't always enjoy) Alexson asked me before I could even say anything what my needs were, if i had problem areas etc and he gave me a great relaxing massage with stretching that kicked my insomnia out the door that night! I first visited Alexson in April of 2018 and it was quite a treat! I had tried a therapist or two before him but none came close to the level of detail or the thoroughness of his work. I recently returned and what a way to kick off the new year. It was better than I remembered. I needed this massage therapy in the worse way. Alexson is able to really provide a therapeutic experience. The pressure, the body work, the stretching! His level of attentiveness ensures that he is keying in on the information that he gets from your body and he addresses accordingly. I was able to feel the stretch and the targeting of my knots as well as fall asleep towards the end. It is a very unique experience in the sense that I can really feel like my body's problem areas are getting some much needed attention but I am also able to get some relaxation out of it. I got lost trying to get here, but it was more on me not understanding the area. Luckily Kriss and other passerby's guided me to the right place. I was 30 minutes late but was able to get the full 60 minutes and not charged a late fee, which I was utterly grateful. This was my first time getting a massage, and I did not realize how undressed I had to be for the experience, but Kriss made it a very comfortable environment for me and was attentive to my needs to make me feel the most at ease. I received an excellent massage yesterday from Alexson. I was feeling a lot of upper back and neck pain due to an injury, but immediately afterward I felt a million times better! I'm writing this the next day, and my muscles are still grateful. Alexson was able to meet with me on extremely short notice (just a few hours!) at the Harlem Holistic Center, which has some private rooms in the back with massage tables. Though there was a group class taking place outside in the front room during the second half of the massage, the noise was sufficiently offset by the relaxing music he put on in our room. Overall, I felt the atmosphere of the room to be extremely comfortable, and the studio quite conveniently located. I've had a lot of massages, particularly because I used to live in Thailand, and I have to say Alexson was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very skilled. He was able to identify the muscle that was causing me pain and spent a lot of time working on it, applying a perfect amount of pressure. He also used some traction techniques to help with my spine. Rarely have I walked out of a 60-minute massage feeling so rejuvenated! I highly recommend this place - I was surprised nobody had reviewed it yet - so go get yourself a massage! read more

Having been to dozens of massage therapists, I can say with some confidence that Alex is the best value, bar none. Only a tiny handful are on par with his skill level and professionalism (look for my other 5-star reviews), and they tend to be much more expensive. As far as style, he uses a very fluid technique, and is entirely intuitive about what areas need what kind of work. You should still point out likes / dislikes / painful spots / etc of course, but if all you did was lie back and let him work the effect will still be magic. For a therapist, big strong hands and confidence in your ability to pinpoint the source of trouble spots usually means *less* pressure & discomfort is needed. This might be counterintuitive if you've never had a top-tier massage before (vs a Chinatown parlor where the most reliable way to walk away feeling better is to ask for it harder) but trust me, it's true. Alex (a former football player) makes this principle especially obvious in practice. read more

I went to Lexson Therapy this week for a massage as a birthday gift to myself and what a gift it was. I only booked the massage a day before so I was very appreciative Alexson was able to fit me in. Alexson is pleasant and extremely skillful and knowledgeable in the art of massage as well as knowing the anatomy. He was able to massage, stretch and work out kinks and knots I didn't know I had until he found them. So glad I took my wife for a couple's massage. They were really friendly and provided excellent service in their garden level apartment. It's comfortable and clean, but nothing fancy. We left there feeling so relieved and relaxed. They are very knowledgeable about different types of massage and therapeutic techniques. Make sure to mention if you have sciatica or have problem areas or need some stretching. The customer service is best via email. I had to move the time and was surprised that they got right back to me via email. It's nice that we don't need to travel downtown for a quality massage anymore. I went here because I had extremely sore elbows. I was diagnosed with tennis elbow even though I don't play tennis! Apparently it was issues with carrying my heavy laptop in a shoulder bag. My two hours with Alexson was one most transformative sessions I've ever experienced. He was very present during the session checkin on the pressure and how I was doing.
