    Pistachio Crepe Roll was decadent!

Store is clean and bright. Workers were polite and talented at making the desserts. We went with pistachio crepe and the peanut butter waffle. Pistachio crepe was our favorite, it was decadent and filled with chocolate goodness! The ice cream didn't hurt either. The peanut butter waffle was also quite good, although I recommend adding a scoop of ice cream to that as well.

Had a few friends in from out of town and were looking to satisfy our sweet tooth cravings and ended up here! We'd gotten two items: the brownie sushi crepe and the oreo crepe (both paired with nutella). Very very sweet and indulgent, so fantastic for the occasional treat. There was no shortage of oreo... the oreo crepe was STUFFED with them! Each crepe is served with ice cream too. Next time I come back, I want to try one of the lotus crepes which is made using biscoff cookie butter.

I used to love this place back when it was Nefista! Thankfully they still do the cig kofteh and I highly recommend getting the spicy ones. Definitely get the pomegranate sauce, and add onions and walnuts to your wrap - and thank me later! In terms of the chocolate, we've only tried the lotus waffle, but holy moly. It is. So. Good. The layers of chocolate plus the crunch of the lotus root sprinkles... heaven! We've gone back for it - the second time we went, they didn't have dark chocolate (we usually sub the white choc for dark instead). I hope that was just a one time thing and that they have dark chocolate available generally. The service has always been great. It's a small spot so keep that in mind. We usually do take out but have the waffles in store so they're fresh. Anyway, I wish this wasn't so far from me - or maybe that's a good thing because I'd be there literally weekly.

The 5-star rating holds up to the desserts and experience. I ordered the Strawberry Banana Chocolate Crepes. It was an excellent combination of lightly sweet crepe, nutella chocolate hazelnut taste, and fresh sliced strawberries and bananas. I've had a similar one at the nutella cafe and other places never came close to that signature taste and quality. LeyRa definitely comes close and I'll be coming back often. Service was super friendly and they have a large menu. Overall, I highly recommend folks to try Leyra. Pros - Fresh fruits and high quality crepes - Well thought out dessert combinations which taste great - Large dessert menu with lots of options - Nice place to eat and chill - Friendly service and clean restaurant Cons - None Overall Review: 5/5

If there's one thing that all fans of Bill Hader as SNL's Stefon know, it's that ... New York's hottest chocolate boutique is ... LeyRa ... Confectioner Osman Ersen has gone all out. This place has everything: waffles, crepes, sticks, dips, cups, and a cocoa troika. Cocoa troika? You know, that thing when a palate pleasure place has THREE chocolate fountains to finally answer the question, "You know what'd be even cooler than the Bellagio?". That's right. This tiny shop on MacDougal between Greenwich Village and SOHO is the all new hotspot for cream puffs, chocolate shots, and decadent dreams designed dessert-by-dessert to destroy diets while drinking a diet coke. LeyRa has everything: Milk, Dark, White, Nutella, Belgian, Sweet, Bittersweet, Semi-sweet, Too-sweet. Bonus: For the Instagram kids, there's a special wall with neon and flowers where you can binge your weight in chocolate like a boss ... 's girlfriend. Extra bonus: All your pics will finally help people stop calling chocolate hot and start calling it beautiful ... or haute with a "u" and superfluous "e'. Stefon everyone! Hoping all of you find your true loves this weekend ... fine chocolate from Belgium at a palate pleasure place like LeyRa Chocolate.

Come here for their bulgur wheat kofta! It's vegan and bursting with flavor. You can build your own lettuce wraps with them, which makes the experience even more entertaining. I'm sad they had to change their business to a dessert shop, but I'm glad they at least kept the koftas on the menu!

I've been a huge fan of chocolate dipped waffles and am so glad this place opened up! I used to go to Chocolate Dip but their primary demographic was young middle schoolers who kept trashing the place and I remember the establishment blatantly disregarded Covid restrictions when covid was still at its peak. Leyra Chocolate has a much cleaner seating area with all the photo ops including a flower wall and a Willy Wonka inspired mural. My only qualm is that they don't have a clear sign out front so I kept walking past it. They have milk, white, and dark Belgian chocolate that taste heavenly. I got a milk chocolate waffle stick for $6 and it came with a cup of vanilla ice cream to my delightful surprise! It was the best waffle I've ever had! So crispy and fluffy that I had to stop for a second from the shock of how good it was! I also got the pistachio crepe roll that came with brownies, strawberries and a cup of vanilla ice cream for $13 I think. It's definitely a show stopper. Crepes aren't my favorite in general but this one was rolled really nicely and tasted great. You definitely get your money's worth. I noticed they had a cookie waffle and cream puffs on the menu so can't wait to try them!

GWOW!! My fiance and I were in the mood for dessert and we are soo happy we came across LeyRa Chocolate!! They're opened late and the menu is to die for. I ordered the strawberry waffle with milk & white Belgian chocolate. I literally almost licked the container. Sooo delicious!! This is our new spot.

I made my first visit to Cheongsu, a super homey Korean cafe featuring drinks, pastries, and desserts. Given the weather, I went with their strawberry matcha bingsu. It was the perfect size for two people to share. I loved how thoughtfully it was layered--between the shaved ice, they added strawberry and matcha sauces, topped it off with shaved milk ice and sweet cream, and finished it with plenty of matcha powder and fresh strawberries. Such a lovely spot for a group of four or less to catch up over light bites and good drinks.

They were also pretty strict about seating. If you had a party of 2 you HAD to sit at a table with 2 chairs. It's also pretty expensive. My order of 4 things came out to well over $60. The Ube Cheesecake bingsoo was really good but at about $25 I don't think I'd get it again. The matcha fromage was kind of dry and I didn't really enjoy it. It looked really pretty though. Each drink was also $8.50. The ambiance is really nice though. It looks like a historical type of spot with lots of wood furniture. I'd probably only come back here for drinks.

I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

As a strawberry matcha lover, this is what I went for. To my surprise, they also were serving pho! They had three types of pho on the menu, so I went with the chicken pho. My chicken pho came out very quickly and first. This was delicious and I could tell it was made with so much love. I also loved the lemongrass flavor they added to it. It was a very generous portion for the price. Shortly after, my strawberry teddy bear matcha was served. This was just the perfect balance of sweetness from the strawberry and earthiness from the matcha. The teddy bear on top was the cutest touch. Overall, the food/drinks were delicious, the ambiance was adorable, the staff were friendly, and the items were very affordable. I would love to visit again!

While deciding on what to order, the owner offered to make me a drink that was off the menu. How about a mixed one with strawberry, Matcha and coconut? Hey, if the boss is recommending it I'm all for it. My son got the ube and coconut. OMG, both drinks were so darn yummy. I am not an ube fan whatsoever, but my son insisted I take a sip. I have to say it was the best ube drink I have ever tried. The coconut mixed with the strawberry and matcha is a game changer. The teddy bear made of ice was so cute and makes for a cool IG pic. The owner was sweet enough to ask if we liked it. I gave her the thumbs up and said they were excellent and that we will be back. Oddly they also serve pho here, it's not a restaurant per se. We didn't have any so I can't comment. But definitely come for these yummy Vietnamese concoctions. Street meter parking only.
