From authentic Mediterranean pies to grills to pastry, to wide array of sweets, coffee, tea, and cold beverages, Manakeesh, along with the hospitable friendly staff, is guaranteed to please every taste and quest for authentic Mediterranean and Lebanese authenticity.

Ordered through DoorDash and received the order fairly quickly given the distance from this location. This is the most authentic middle eastern food I have had in the States. Real zatar flavors, falafel served with the right pickles and white sauce, made me nostalgic for the street food vendors back in Dubai. The zatar pita was absolutely delicious and I couldn't believe I could eat the entire bread in one go :) It was that good. Falafels were crispy, fresh and delicious. Pistachio and I album baklavas were outstanding.

Delicious food. Kind staff! Cute place that provides a variety of vibes (inside seating, outside patio, cushioned booths). Only downside is that they were low of some things like napkins, utensils, and some menu items at the bakery/cafe.

Chicken Shawarma Platter, Beef Lamb Gyro Platter, Tabbouleh*, Hummus

Come here for fresh authentic Lebanese food. The flavors are amazing. I tried the chicken shawarma platter and beef/lamb gyro platter with tabbouleh, hummus and Baba Ghanouj. It's a little pricy but worth it for the amount of food that you get. If you order 2 sides with your platter you get a pita. Each platter came out to about $20-25, but it was enough food for two meals. Parking was a little tough to find on a weekend afternoon, but the good thing is the street 2hr parking with no meters!

Manakeesh is a delight! I've ordered delivery from here for about 5 years and the flavors keep me coming back. The Combo Manakeesh with half cheese half Zaatar is my favorite - it's pure comfort food and the Zaatar they use is top notch. If you eat plant-based you'll find a lot of yummy options here. The Veggie Platter, Fattoush Salad, Greek Salad, Gluten Free Plater, Grape Leaves Platter, and Falafel Platter are all delicious options. Also, their Baba Ghannouj is probably my favorite in the city, and their hummus is up there as well. If you get the Combo Manakeesh, try it with a side of hummus for dipping it's amazing! The prices here are definitely high compared to other places in the area, particularly for the apps, platters, and bakery items. I'd probably order from here more often if it was not as expensive as it is. That said, the portions are quite large and I can usually make 2 meals out of a platter. Definitely give Manakeesh a try if you haven't already!

Meant to stop at Saad's halal (across the street) but stumbled upon Manakeesh instead. SO SO good. We got the zaatar and spinach pies as well as Knafeh. Everything was so tasty and the service was amazing. Super cozy instead , we sat in the bakery side.

When they say fresh pita, they really mean fresh pita! It's piping hot and oh so good! My husband and I went in to split a meat platter with the chicken tawook, babaganoush, and fattoush salad. The chicken was perfectly charred and juicy. The fattoush was light and herbal. Everything was fresh and flavorful and super delicious, although maybe a tad bit salty. One platter with these sides was perfect for the two of us, and worth the cost! Service was relatively fast. It's very casual inside, with some outdoor seating too, which was perfect for today's lovely weather. Another must-try is their shortbread cookies. I think their baklava is too sweet, but those cookies are wonderfully complex and interesting. Will be back to try more!

Salad : no leafy greens, just cucumber, tomatoes, and onions

We got the chicken and beef manakeesh which are Lebanese flatbread pizza. The flavorings were very unique, I thought the chicken one was better. The beef one was strange because it was ground beef pieces instead of slices of beef. I wasn't a big fan of that. The left side of the store is a cafe where you order meals and the right side is a bakery with many baklava selections and other Lebanese desserts. They even had coffee, tea, and fruit juices. I didn't get to try anything from the bakery but will definitely be back to try more items.

    Grilled Chicken Kabob

Heard great things about Manakeesh and was honestly slightly disappointed. Ordered the chicken kabob platter and pistachio baklava. Overall though the portions were big and I'm willing to give it another try. I wouldn't order the chicken kabob again, but the fries were great. I would try the chicken shawarma instead. Pistachio baklava was stale, although staleness could have just been because I went near closing, but that's no excuse.

Half cheese half zaatar manakeesh (flatbread)

I came here having heard good things but also intrigued by the fact that it was advertised as a cafe, bakery, AND grill. Ambiance: Very very casual. The store was split into two sides, one fully dedicated to the bakery/cafe, and the other dedicated to the main food. Chill vibes, felt more hole in the wall, although it does seem popular. You can also see the giant ovens that make all the bread behind the counters. Service: You order at counter and they call out when your food is ready. Friendly folk at the front. Food: - Half cheese/half zaatar manakeesh (flatbread): Incredible, delicious, please give me more. The bread was just incredible -- soft yet crunchy at the edges, warm, and tore apart beautifully. Heavenly bread. The toppings also fit perfectly. I really enjoyed the blast of salt, savory, spicy and earthiness with the zaatar seasoning on top of this bread and juxtaposed to the warm melted cheese. Since they had folded it in half before serving, some of the seasoning got onto the cheese accidentally; but wow, great combination! We got an add-on of hummus with the bread, which was also delicious, but I think the flatbread can stand on its own. I can't wait to go back to have more of the manakeesh as well as try out some of their other dishes like the falafel platter/wraps. Good prices and quantity as well! - The coffee was decent, although it was unclear whether it tasted a bit...mineral-y intentionally or unintentionally? - The mocha was very heavy on the milk/chocolate, but a bit lacking in espresso flavor. - There was also a plethora of desserts, and different forms of baklava that we didn't have the room to try that time, but I look forward to trying it at a later point! Definitely excited to return for the food!

    Mahalabia and Turkish coffee
    Chris S.

A delicious meal and definitely would come again. I have been recommended this place by lots of friends and I have been craving Turkish coffee. I finally got a chance to go with my partner. He got a yummy chicken wrap that had very tender chicken. I got lamb kofta, I usually really like lamb but I wasn't super feeling this. It felt too dry. On the side, I got some hummus which was great too. From the cafe we got mahalabiya and Turkish coffee, which they provided two cups for without us having to ask. Really loved how it was served to us too. I think ordering is a bit intimidating and I wish they had mobile order since they have a mobile menu. That being said, I have mad respect for the chefs and they definitely know what they're doing. Shout out to the aunties in the cafe. Overall, a very homey and friendly vibe. It was not very crowded on a weekend for lunch, maybe we were too early for the rush, so we had plenty of seats to choose from and there was space from the other customers for us to talk casually.

    Baklava
    Katrina L.

I haven't ordered food from the grill before, but have ordered from the bakery a few times. There are so many delicious pastries to choose from. They have quite a few sweet (lots of honey!) delicious options. I enjoyed the Shortbread cookies stuffed with walnuts & dates, but the baklava is really outstanding and a must-order. I also had a lemonade to go which was sweet and refreshing.

Merion Park Labneh: this labneh is thicker than other restaurants which I really like actually. the photo I insert may be deceiving, as it looks chunky. rest assured, it's absolutely smooth, just a thicker consistency than most labnehs. the spices on it are so so good. I think this is a must get along with a hummus. me and my sister are vegetarian, we share a hummus and a labneh and are decently full after those. we also snack on some small plates for the table (fries and olives) and leave full. Israeli Pickles and Olives: comes with two ramekins filled with varying sized pickles, not pitted olives, and some tiny yellow peppers I *think* are either pepper-chinos or at the very least taste similar. they also come with a small ramekin for the olive pits. The yellow peppers are very spicy, but I loved them. the olives are green, and i'd consider them friendly olives for those who are particular around olives. pickles were great as expected. French Fries: easy order for the table. portion is large and I think $8 is a steal for the quantity and quality. comes with a yummy ketchup my sister loves (she is considered a ketchup hater). COCONUT MALABI: I did not know what to expect. and honestly, first bite I was a bit confused by the texture, but by the end, I really liked it. its a thick pudding consistency, smooth, has a decent bounce to it, not too sweet at all, subtle coconut flavor. has a strawberry (I think) jam situation on top with some sort of crunchy thing. will be getting that again for sure. we had three people split this and it was enough. would consider getting two for four people though. service was quick, efficient, and kind. love the atmosphere. it has a sort of lively fun vibe to it. also we were in and out pretty quick without being rushed at all which is nice. just efficient. Also, I haven't tried them yet but they have a good little mocktail menu for those who don't drink!

The ambiance inside was delightful, with trailing plants stretching across the ceiling, large paper lanterns, and laidback colorful vibe. For drinks, I chose the Galia "by Zahav" Red Blend and my friend got the Galia "by Zahav" White. Both were fantastic! The red was medium-bodied with notes of blackberry and the white was perfectly crisp and refreshing. We started with the Salatim (included with dinner), which were so tasty. My favorites were the Hummus, Zucchini with Corn, and Babaganoush. Next, we shared the Grilled Halloumi (absolutely insane), Date-Harissa Wings (very good), and Tuna Tartare (light and tasty). We weren't starving, so the only item we got from the grill was the Eggplant, which we loved. This was already way too much food for us, and we had plenty of leftovers to bring home. It consists of ten salads which can all be refilled as needed. At the center is a bowl of creamy hummus and a side of fluffy pita. The dishes change based on the season so ours had a lot of summer produce. Considering the salads are already premade and that this platter is served to everyone by default, I would have expected it to come out to our table almost immediately after seating. This way, we could have had more time to sample each one and decide if we want refills. The portion is quite large and filing so we barely got seconds of anything. - cauliflower shawarma (6/10): roasted cauliflower on a bed of tahini with pine nuts. The cauliflower was cooked very well. Roasting it gave it a soft and slightly creamy texture that falls apart in your mouth. When we first ate it, there was no spice at all. It seemed like all the flavor was in the sauce at the base. Pouring the sauce on the top or mixing it in more thoroughly would have made for a richer experience. - mushroom shishlik (6/10): portobello mushrooms and asparagus on a herby tahini sauce. This one had more flavor than the cauliflower but I was not a huge fan of how the mushrooms were cooked. The pieces felt large and not pleasant to bite into. They also had a meaty and chewy texture. - eggplant (8/10): grilled eggplants with dollops of tomato sauce. This was by far the best of the vegetarian entrees. The eggplant is very soft and creamy with the right amount of spice from the topping. The red sauce which I assumed to be tomato based added freshness and acidity. With a scoop of hummus from the salatim on top of a piece of pita, it was an enjoyable bite. - tahini soft serve (7/10): tahini soft serve with chocolate magic shell. The dessert is included in the menu and this is the vegan option. After the salatim and the entrees, we were quite stuffed and barely had an appetite for dessert. The tahini ice cream has a strong bitter flavor with the mildest touch of sweetness. While I liked the concept of the chocolate shell, I would have wanted it to be thinner so that it could crack easier. WOULD I GO BACK? Maybe. I think some of the dishes are worth trying but going at a less busy time would be more enjoyable.
