I had a very easy and enjoyable experience designing a custom engagement ring at Liberty Diamonds. I worked with Cristina who helped make my vision become a reality, after seeing the computer renderings of the ring I made various edits and tweaks until I felt it was perfect. I would feel guilty asking for another alteration but I never got the impression from Cristina that it bothered her. She was always friendly and willing to make the changes. The renderings were designed to the exact dimensions to the diamond I had picked out so I could see and edit the design of the ring prior to any physical work being done. Eventually, once perfected in the renderings it was quickly and precisely replicated in reality. My Fiancé loves her ring and I am very happy I ended up at Liberty Diamonds. After about a month we brought the ring in to have it examined and see if we could make a quick tweak, they again were very friendly and made the change for us. I was a very naive customer and went to buy an engagement ring from a local jeweler who ran his own business. I was quite disappointed to find out that when it was completed, my jeweler had forgotten to put a halo on, forgot about the two extra wedding bands, and also gave us a diamond that initially looked awesome, but days later we found a crack in the side and we were able to see there were large white inclusions in the middle of the stone. I set off to Reddit to learn more and get help. Troy Lob responded to my desperate Reddit post. Not only did Troy give me amazing advice and enlightened me on several diamond nuances, but helped and guided me to a decision that was best for me, which ended up being a resolution from the original jeweler. My Jeweler found some other diamonds that I was able to choose from, but I wouldn't have been able to do any of this confidently without Troy's guidance. Good business people help anyone they can (a rare quality) even if the people they help don't end up going through them for their needs initially. I actually messaged quite a few companies, but LD seemed the most genuine and were quick to answer. Other companies just messaged me back a quote and their business hours. I didn't want to write my review until after I proposed because I was scared the now-fiancé would see! I bought my wedding set from Costco. I brought the rings to Liberty Diamonds for re-sizing. Before I even bought the rings, I was asking Liberty a bunch of questions since I know literally nothing about jewelry. They were upfront and honest with me. I was told re-sizing voids Costco's warranty, but that was ok with me. I needed a 6.5 ring size and Costco only sells in full-sizes. Liberty instructed me that it's better to buy a size up (7) than a size down (6). They also told me that Costco is able to offer such low prices because of the size of the diamonds (I guess there are many small diamonds as opposed to a few large ones), at least in the price range I was looking for. Big and sparkly works for me, so whatever. Customer service was essential for me and they exceeded expectations. They were timely with their work and I'm happy with the outcome.
