This company has changed. And not for the better…read more A week ago I called to schedule an appointment for a leaky faucet in my house. An AI voice answered the phone, asked me why I was calling, told me it was going to look up my account details, said it had a problem and that someone would contact me to follow up, and then hung up on me. A few hours later I got a text from "Cameron". I complained to "Cameron" about the experience I had from the AI phone answerer. "Cameron" apologize and told me that such an experience would frustrate him too...then "Cameron" decided to be transparent with me and tell me that he was in fact AI as well and "his" real name was "Carson". We went back and forth about 6 times to explain the problem I was having and to set up an appointment. Then "Cameron" told me that the time we worked out wasn't confirmed yet and that someone would be calling me to confirm the time. Thanks, "Cameron". This was Friday around 4:00PM. THE NEXT MORNING, a human being (I think) texted me from the same number to confirm the appointment. After I let them know how unhappy I was with the AI scheduling service, a human (I think) did call me and apologized for it. Then, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived an hour and a half after the 12:00-16:00 window we had set up. I had to call them at 16:30 to ask if the technician was coming and they told me he would be there soon. When he did arrive, in the middle of me making dinner for my family, he told me that the faucet would need to be replaced and that it would be $750 (!!) in labor to fix it. Then I was charged $83 for his time (which I guess would be rolled into the service). So, in the end I still had a leaky faucet and I was out $83 with the option to pay $670 to replace a faucet (plus the cost of the faucet itself). For that price, I'm just going to do it myself. Then the spam texts started coming from "Cameron" asking about the estimate. I got one every day until I told it to stop texting me. This company used to be great but I'm going to be looking around the next time I need a plumber. Please ditch this stupid AI system. Please don't charge your customers if you're extremely late for your own four hour window - especially if the diagnosis takes five minutes and is "I can't fix it - replace the faucet".

Donny was extremely thorough in identifying the issue and diagnosed that the unit I had was not the right size for my home. In addition the piping was inefficient and not up to code. They offered to refund the prior install, designed a sleek solution with a new combi boiler and somehow managed to make everything fit perfectly into the very small mechanical room in my home. This was a complicated install made even more challenging by the small space, but Donny's workmanship and problem-solving was excellent. They were able to accommodate my schedule, finished on time and were collaborative with me throughout the process and helped me land on a solution and price that I was satisfied with. My home has never been this comfortably heated in the winter before while not compromising on hot water in the bathroom and kitchen. Moe called us back right away when we contacted him about the blocked sink on a weeknight, arrived promptly the following morning (after offering very kindly to come out that night if we needed him to!), and diagnosed our problems. He and his partner worked efficiently and cleanly to get the sink line cleared, and then came back two days later to replace the seized-up disposal unit. Knight Rooter's pricing was fair and transparent -- Moe explained the costs of parts and labor clearly, and answered our questions with direct information (as opposed to some other companies we've dealt with in the past). We really appreciated the care and swift action that helped us get our kitchen back up and running. Knight Rooter's customer service is top notch.

I had already purchased both items so it was just installation. I needed someone same day due to work schedule commitments and non of the big plumbing companies would even come and look at the job until after the weekend or a week later. Some also wanted to charge $70 to give me a quote. Armando messaged me through yelp and then via text. He said the job would be $350 to $450. It ended up being $386 including tax. Armando was on time. Said he would be there between 11 and noon and texted me at 11 to say he should be there by noon then updated me further when he set off from his first job. Arrived promptly at 11:55. He made sure to put booties on his shoes cleaned up after himself and did a thorough job. Everything works as expected and the whole process took under 2 hours. Armando provided me with a business card (he doesn't have a website or any advertising on his truck etc.) He told me he could only warranty the labor since I purchased the parts. Very understandable. I would very much recommend Armando. He is polite, knowledgeable, efficient, turns up on time, charges you a reasonable rate, and cleans up and respects your home. Also licensed, bonded and insured.
