Wednesday 5:57pm. 1. Love 1/2 price cocktails at happy hour (3:30-6) for FULL size drink. I also love that the bartenders are pros. PRO TIP...if you are sitting at bar sit between the lights. Edison bulbs are annoying if you are sensitive to that. 2. Salad bar is my bag. Caesar with option of whole anchovies. The other options are just solid choices (large green olives) and multiple bread choices with option of ice cream scoopers of butter. 3. Switch to a glass of red wine. Got a taste before I committed. Solid move by bartender. Wine glasses are perfectly matched for red. 4. $55 Wednesday 10oz filet special. Just wondering if you can order 2 X 1/2 side? Plenty of mashed for 2. 4. Trying to figure out if there is a perfect way to end a close to perfect meal. Amaretto? frangelico? Scotch? Actually I may need to find a cigar on the way home.

I have been searching for a great happy hour and I think I've finally found my spot (3-6 M-F and half off all drinks)! We were craving a good salad bar and decided to try Library 2 for the first time in years. We went right after work on a Friday and the bar was empty around 3:45pm. By 4:30 the bar was crowded. When we first arrived there was one bartender working but by the time we left they had 3 bartenders making drinks for the bar and for dinner tables. I started with a dirty martini and finished up with a chocolate Manhattan. I loved both but especially the Manhattan. The bartender that made my drinks was great. Super personable and made her rounds often to ensure nobody was waiting for a drink for too long. My dad ordered a few margaritas and my mom had a Cosmo and an espresso martini. Going by what my parents said their drinks were decent but well worth the happy hour prices. Our drinks were between $5.50-$7 each on happy hour which is a great price for martinis and specialty cocktails. I just did the salad bar which I loved. Lettuce was fresh, not wilted, and was constantly being refilled. There were lots of different fresh toppings to choose from and a handful of different loafs of bread that went great with butter. My dad got a NY Strip and my mom got Steak on a Stick (10oz of cubed and marinated filet Mignon and NY strip served with vegetables and baked potato). All of the steak was very tender. The cubed filet and NY strip had great flavor, but my dad said his NY Strip was good but was a bit under-seasoned (still a very good meal though). We will definitely be back and I can go as far as saying that this will be our new happy hour spot. The price we paid for drinks, the salad bar, and two entrees was very reasonable. The service we received was great. The atmosphere was what I envision in a bar when I'm not feeling like sitting in a dive. Overall we had a great experience.

What is the dress code for this restaurant?

Casual attire is fine. It is a steakhouse so it's recommended you dress a little bit nicer, but it is by no means a requirement.

We didn't realize that the restaurant was a part of a country club until we arrived (no where in the reviews did it mention this) but we've done brunch at other country clubs throughout Jersey and it was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. Service was SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW! From the very beginning until the very end. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. The cocktails weren't the greatest either. We thought perhaps the first round was our fault because we all tried their "blackberry espresso martini" and we knew it was a risk from the beginning ... so we ordered "safer" cocktails for round 2 and the prosecco based cocktails were even worse than the blackberry espresso martinis smh. I truly don't understand how one messes up prosecco + a splash of limoncello and cranberry (that was what was supposed to be in the cocktail) but they certainly messed it up, to the point where I didn't drink it. Our entrees finally arrived and WOMP WOMP WOMP! Overall every single one was MID at best ... and all I had was French onion soup and a wedge salad .... like how is it possible for those to be BLAH? Food was so MEH we didn't even take pics lol. Needless to say we all agreed we wouldn't be back and wished we had decided on what was our 2nd option for brunch instead.

There's two dining areas that can be chosen with one having a bar that can seat 10+ people. Started with a couple of great drinks and their french onion soup. The soup was topped with a cheese layer and pieces of crostinis within the soup. Great for a snowy day. The california chicken wrap was a big meal especially with the flaky french fries on the side. The sandwich needed more chipotle mayo on the side which was great for the fries. My medium rare wagyu burger with the bacon jam was HUGE! The jam did taste like beef jerky which was a new experience. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items.

We dined on their beautiful patio, amongst flowers, and a very pretty water view and breezes :) The food was stellar! The menu still had what I loved prior - chicken stuffed avocados! They tweaked it a bit - no longer three big halves; but two, plus grapes (ick - not my thing - like eyeballs lol!) and pita bread (no carbs for me at night - I didn't eat). I also had probably THE BEST CAESAR SALAD I've EVER HAD! And wow, have I had a lot of them. They are a standby / go to - you name it - for me. I love them and can tell you where to find the best ones in a heart beat (Sienna's in Voorhees, Fieni's in Voorhees, SALAD HOUSE in Marlton, all Outback's and Carrabba's, and HERE) ! My friend's friend told her that Redstone's corn bread croutons were delicious and a must try. Sooo, we subbed the sourdough garlic croutons with the cornbread ones - no problem at all. HOLY SH****************T were they amazing! What a neat and yummy idea! In the future, I'm going to have the full size versus the starter size that I had last night. Our server, Flower, was a doll - very chill, attentive, and charming. I notice everything, including one of her tattoos (a tiny astrological bull). She was a Taurus too like my birthday friend, which was kind of neat. Cool name too. Redstone is top notch through and through. Even the bathrooms were great - very clean and smelled so damned good. Why in Hades hadn't I been here in 7 years is beyond me!

The beautiful summer planters and inviting outdoor patio created such a nice first impression. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress, Emily, was absolutely wonderful! She greeted us with a beautiful smile and was pleasant, professional, and personable throughout our entire meal. She explained the menu well, shared a few laughs with us, and truly added to our overall experience. And the food--delicious! The crab dip was absolutely amazing. The short ribs were tender and full of flavor, and the grilled pork chop was huge, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Everything we ordered was delightful. Then came dessert! My daughter loves Key lime pie, but I normally do not. Well, Redstone changed my mind! Oh my goodness! The creaminess, buttery flavor, and overall deliciousness of that Key lime pie had us going crazy. I instantly became a Key lime pie fan--it was THAT good! Now for the one CON: the women's restroom. Redstone, your restaurant is beautiful, the food and service are excellent, and our bill for two was over $200, so the restrooms should reflect the same level of quality. Unfortunately, they did not. The glass doors looked like they needed a thorough cleaning, the tile and grout were noticeably dirty, and the toilets were extremely low. Thankfully my knees are good, because getting that low was an experience all by itself! The restroom area could definitely use a deep cleaning and some updating. That being said, our overall dining experience was wonderful, and a BIG shout-out to Emily for making our visit so enjoyable. Great service can truly elevate an evening, and she certainly did that for us. We will definitely return--and yes, I'll be ordering that Key lime pie again!

Third experience w/ this location, and it's the one that finally convinced me this is a MUST AVOID. I ordered last Friday at 1:30 for 2 PM pickup. I had a short window for lunch and had to get back to the computer by 2:30. So, strapped for time. When I got there to pick up, there were 4 patrons in line. I walked alongside them to let the cashier know I was just picking up. In exactly the same way countless DoorDash and UberEats people in every food service environment do, all the time. The cashier, that first point of contact for the public, stuck his hand out in the international "talk to the hand" shush gesture. Nice! So I waited outside. After cashier took care of the first two, I lifted up both arms to say "what's up here?" Then I heard him say to the two customers in front of him that "That guy is acting crazy." At that point I told him to enjoy my sandwich -- and the tip I'd left on the PREPAID ORDER -- because I would not be waiting longer. Or coming back. Let's count all the ways this is a bad look: A business can't have employees talking about a customer to other customers -- PERIOD. It can't have people who use the order-ahead system waiting at the back of a line they expected to avoid entirely. It can't be rude to people who are arriving at the site and may not know the particular "rules" for online pickup. In my case, the ridiculous and needless wait allowed time for reflection on previous less-than-stellar attempts at Online Ordering at Gouldsburgers: the time when my burger was essentially cold when I got it home, a three-block walk. The time, just after the location opened, when I waited a long time after the pickup time only to discover that the order was comically wrong. (That one I attributed to newness and returned a few weeks later and had a good experience....). To his credit, the cashier did reach out later -- to ask if I wanted the order remade. He says the card has been credited but, because I'm not crazy, when I told him to enjoy the sandwich I really didn't expect a refund. Still don't! What I would expect is what I asked him when I returned the call: To speak with an admin/GM/MOD person about this. I have zero faith in this happening. But here's why it should: Because this location, which is indeed small, needs to address Online Pickup in a way that doesn't add 10-15 minutes to any poor unsuspecting soul's experience. This is FIXABLE! And also this business needs to rethink how it addresses people with at least a modicum of respect. That may not be fixable....
