Traveling for work and stopped at Lido cafe and bakery since it was near the customer we were working with. What a great find! The restaurant was crowded at 11:30am, but we were able to get a seat without waiting. Service was quick and efficient. I started with the mushroom soup-it was fabulous. Loaded with fresh sliced mushrooms, carrots and the soup broth was perfect-not over loaded with cream. Delicious. Followed with the Lido's favorite Quinoa bowl-yummy! Quinoa patty was tasty and not dry. Greens were fresh. Dressing was delicious. Would highly recommend. Finished with a nice smooth cup of coffee and a chocolate chip cookie from the bakery. Most definitely will return with any future trips to the area. The menu has tons of options BTW. read more

The breakfast heard around Sacramento! Firstly, we're still in this suffering stage I won't mention 8/15/2020, you know. And I call in my order. I hear they are quite busy from the background noise but that doesn't stop my delightful phone server to be as sweet and courteous as could be. She repeated my order to me, said it with a smile and gave me up to the minute when it would be ready. I had in mind to go at 7 because that is when it opens but I gave it an hour. So I called at 830an. My husband gets off work at 1000am. I drive up and no surprise many early risers where there and I know why. The food is out of this world. I ordered the Cobb salad because everytime I drive by I want it and I ordered their blue cheese fries. I ordered my husband the egg white veggie omelet with country potatoes and wheat bread. All of that in ten minutes ready time. I go inside, masked of course, and my food was hot and ready waiting for me on the counter. Later on, I got my husband and wow, we had a great feast! My husband saw the delicious pics of food done right so we had to drop by. And all I can say is we were not disappointed! I had the delicious Cobb salad. Everything was in its place from the blue cheese dressing to the crispy crispy bacon! It was dinner sized and just right. It was huge! Update: 1/2/2020. Back for another delicious breakfast. They were so busy we had to sit at the counter. We received excellent service as always, not just efficient but friendly as well. Coffee is good here. Even tho they were packed we received our two entrees within 10 minutes. Incredible! Both items were so delicious and we just love their fried home style potato's. The only place where the owner/server could get away with calling me honey because she was that nice and genuine! But I moved downtown and lived there for five years but I'm now back in the area. We went looking for this restaurant today and noticed where they used to be on Fair Oaks Blvd they were no more. Of course I checked Yelp and Yelp directed me just down the street. Thank u Yelp! Wow they opened a new location, so much bigger, so much nicer, but the menu, the service, and the food was the same as before. I am so pleased that the owner was able to expand, and the place was near full on a Wednesday late morning. I had the Eggs Benedict which was exactly as before - yummy although I like more lemon flavor in my hollandaise sauce. No problem though, just asked for a slice of lemon and squeezed it on myself. My husband had the eggs Benedict Florentine, I could tell he was in heaven. The potatoes here are just like when your mom fried them up from raw in a black cast iron skillet. Yummm! Coffee is good and you always get a small amount of fresh fruit and an asparagus spear on your breakfast plate. For so many years been driving by always wanted to visit this place and I did. I was very surprised of the energy and vibes this place have. I was meat at the door by sweet and lovely lady and got my table an a few minutes. Service at this place is very quick, they won't make you wait there for anything. Food is yummy everything is fresh. Bakery is fresh baked as well. This lovely lady that meat me at the door was actually an owner of the place. It was a pleasure to get served by the owner of the place. Went to Lido this week and once again the food was great. My only issue was that whoever was our waitress didn't give us the correct change. She rounded my change up. Bill was $12.91 and she gave gave me back $2. My friend's bill was rounded down. When I asked about it, she said she did that all the time and pulled a quarter out of her pocket, saying she only carries quarters so I could have that as my change. I declined. I was just trying to understand what she was doing with the change. She said that she didn't know if others did it that way and she did say that the owner knew. If the waitstaff gets to do change as they wish, it would be nice to know that ahead of time to avoid the confusion. Is this common practice? I"m not trying to get anyone in trouble. Awesome food and decent prices. I judge breakfast establishments on the basis of their chicken fried steak. This did not disappoint-breaded just right, great thick country gravy and a biscuit that was made just right. And they even serve lunch early for my little one who craves diner style burgers at 830am. We found this place using Yelp's "dog friendly" filter - and it certainly was dog friendly - even had a low-cost doggie menu with scrambled eggs, chicken or dog biscuit. Lido Cafe in Carmichael is our regular Sunday morning breakfast spot. The owner, Shawna, is an amazing human being who works right along side her staff. She has a smile or a hug for every person who walks in the door. The staff is phenomenal. They are always hustling and working with a sense of urgency, but are never too busy to recognize a familiar face and genuinely care about how you're doing. My husband is obsessed with the corn beef hash and swears it's the best. I love the duet omelette - it's the perfect ratio of egg to veggies. Regardless of what you order, be sure to get a side of bacon, crispy. You won't regret it. And if you like a spicy Bloody Mary, you're in luck! Go early to avoid the wait. Typical "old school" American diner with friendly service and cozy atmosphere. I wish 3.5 stars was an option as I would definitely give it that. The price is pretty cheap, and portions large! The only down fall of this cafe is that the menu is definitely on the norm-core side. Nothing is intriguing, everything is exactly the standard American diner food you would expect; a little unusual for this day and age with many hipster brunch places around. The food is always solid, but nothing to write home about. With that being said, I want to support this local diner so I do come here on a semi-regular basis now. Looking to try somewhere we haven't been and found Lido's on Yelp. Was busy when we arrived but got a table in just a few minutes. Coffee was hot and bloody Mary was tasty. It was hard to choose from all the delicious sounding menu items. Hubby and I each chose an omelette, I had the California and hubby had the hot and spicy. They were both good and loaded up. Definitely want to go back and try one of their breakfast burritos next time. Our server, Ashley took great care of us too. Always excellent. My favorites are the housemade corned beef hash and chile verde. The pancakes are also very good!! The staff, headed by the owner Shawna, are so great and accommodating even when the place is busy. I went here the other day after going to the Carmichael DMV. It was very busy but since it was just me I was able to sit at the counter right away and got my food very fast. So glad Lido is still open and I hope they never go out of business. read more

Came here and waited for a table for about 30 minutes for a tables. My fiancé ordered the chicken and waffle. He wasn't able to get through half of it because the chicken tasted like fish and the gravy was extremely bland. The server charged me $10 for "Italian soda" when I ordered a sprite with grenadine.
