I recommended this seafood market to my daughter when she was planning a sushi night with her…read moreroommate, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. She went in looking for sushi-grade salmon, and she couldn't be happier with the quality. The salmon was incredibly fresh, healthy-looking, and full of flavor. She prepared a few different dishes with it, including sushi cuts and a spicy salmon bowl, and both turned out absolutely delicious. It's always nice to find a place you can trust for quality seafood, especially when it's being used for raw dishes like sushi. Highly recommend this market for anyone looking for fresh, high-quality fish.

We ordered the toro, tuna, salmon, and yellowtail and I can definitely see myself coming back here often. If I'm being completely honest, the toro didn't quite meet my expectations, which is the only reason I hesitated to give it a perfect score. That said, the salmon and especially the yellowtail were outstanding, it was fresh, flavorful, and everyone enjoyed it. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the shrimp or scallop next time. Currently most items are frozen but I hope they can offer some fresh options to better enjoy day off and smaller quantities (half pounds) so I can buy a little bit of everything. Anyways our sushi night at home that fed three people to the brim was around ~90 and was a success thanks to D&D seafood

With the…read moreclosure of my go-to grocery store - Amazon Fresh just down the street - I've been scouting around the area for my next food spot. I liked the single-serve salmon portions, as well as ready-to-heat-and-eat meals that Amazon Fresh had. Someone recommended that I check out Wild Fork - also on Brookhurst (at Adams) - so off I went! I stopped by on an early Sunday morning - so luckily, the parking lot was practically empty, as was the store. Immediately upon entering I noticed how bright and clean the store was, wide aisles, everything was organized in its own little section. I started off on one corner and just browsed my way through. Nina - one of the store clerks here - chanced upon me and asked if I needed help finding anything. I told her it was my first time - and she took it from there! Extremely friendly, warm and welcoming - she explained the store's color coded system, pointing out the exotic meats section (they have alligator/crocodile here!!), beef - including wagyu, pork, sausages (they literally have two freezer sections of sausage/chorizo), meals/appetizers, and my favorite section - seafood/fish. After I shared with her my sadness over Amazon Fresh closing - especially because I liked their single-serve salmon portions - Nina pointed out their salmon offerings, and mentioned that their salmon portions are also single-serve, flash frozen (so they stay fresh longer) - but showed me how they were individually wrapped within their own packaging. I picked up a few salmon entrees based off Nina's recommendations, and my own tastes. I know a few people have raved about their frozen pasta meals - so I grabbed a few of those boxes too. Checkout was a breeze - Nina helped me at checkout and shared that the store occasionally has BBQs on the weekends. Wild Fork is definitely a new favorite - hoping to come back and check out the other offerings depending on how everything I bought turns out! Awesome service and introduction to a new customer - thanks, Nina!

I discovered this place while helping a friend look for a Tesla Supercharger. Right off the 405 on…read moreWarner Ave there is a Vietnamese market called Mekong Supermarket inside the plaza. The store itself is smaller if you compare it with places like Shun Fat Westminster Superstore or Hòa Bình supermarket. There is only one checkout counter and the staff all seem to be Vietnamese. After walking around, they pretty much have all the basics covered. The focus is Vietnamese and Southeast Asian ingredients and sauces. They have their own seafood and meat counter with number tags where you can ask them to clean or cut fish, plus a small deli to go section. I also noticed their delivery vehicle outside that says wholesale, so it seems like they also supply restaurants in the area. Overall it feels like a neighborhood market that also does some wholesale business. The fresh section looked clean and there was no strong smell. I happened to see ground pork on sale for $2.49 per pound. The regular price was $2.79. Of course I had just paid $3.99 per pound earlier that day at 99 Ranch in Irvine because I wanted convenience. While we were there, a Vietnamese lady next to us was buying a big pile of meat and seafood and chatting with us while waiting for it to be cut. She said she always shops here. She ended up buying the last of the ground pork in the display. We asked if there was any left and the butcher said he had more in the back, so we immediately decided to grab two pounds. I think this place is perfect if you do not want to push a cart around a huge store and just need to pick up a few items quickly. They are open until 8pm. Next time I have more time I will come back and explore a bit more to see what other interesting things they carry. Inside, it has a decent selection of items. I didn't notice that usual strong fishy smell you sometimes get in Vietnamese markets from seafood or raw meat, so it felt fairly clean and well maintained. Seafood and meats looked fresh, but prices are higher compared to other Asian markets. The produce section looked fresh as well, just on the expensive side. There is a small prepared food section in the front for quick takeout. Even with the higher prices, it's still a convenient place to shop. Not too big, easy to get in and out, and you can find most basic things you need.

It's a big supermarket with a wide selection of Asian groceries, fresh produce, and especially seafood. I usually come here to buy lobster and crab when they go on sale, since the prices are pretty good compared to other places. I don't really come here often though, mainly because of the strong fishy smell inside the store. Every time I leave, I feel like the smell sticks to my clothes, which I don't really like. Also, it can get very busy and the checkout lines are usually long. The staff at the front can also be a bit hit or miss in terms of friendliness. Parking can also be a bit difficult sometimes since this whole area has a lot of different businesses, so it gets crowded pretty easily. Overall, it's still a convenient place for good seafood deals and Asian groceries, but I mostly just come when there's a sale on lobster or crab.

For meat, I grabbed ground beef, pork neck (currently on sale for $1.99/lb), and chicken breast. Prices were definitely reasonable. For produce, quite a few items were cheaper than H Mart, including enoki mushrooms, Japanese yam, daikon, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and carrots. That said, the Japanese yam didn't look very fresh this time, so I ended up skipping it and buying it at H Mart instead, even though it was a bit more expensive. Some items were priced about the same as H Mart, like napa cabbage ($0.99/lb), onions ($0.39/lb), and bean sprouts ($0.99 per pack). One change I noticed is that cucumbers are now pre-packaged instead of being sold loose, so you can't pick them individually anymore. They're also slightly more expensive than H Mart now. They also had a great deal on Driscoll's strawberries, $0.99 for a 1 lb box, which is definitely worth picking up. Overall, still a great spot for affordable grocery shopping, especially if you're cooking at home and want to save a bit here and there. (visited on 3/31/2026)
