rainbow bowl and avocado greens salad

I love life alive! I ordered delivery, so I can't comment on the ambiance or service. This location gives generous servings and the food was fresh.

    Avocado Toast

I got lunch here on a Sunday and the experience was mostly positive. Ambiance: you order at the counter and food gets brought to your table. Cozy seating with lots of small tables. Food: I ordered the avocado toast, miso soup, and mint tea. The miso soup was umami goodness. Lots of mushrooms and tofu. The mint flavor of the tea was overpowered by the addition of fresh ginger and lemon but was still tasty and comforting on a cold day. The avocado toast was a bit of a letdown. Very bland and would have been vastly improved by the addition of some kind of seasoning, even just a sprinkle of salt. Overall - I would come back, just skip the avocado toast.

I've been to Life Alive multiple times (and can I just say, it hits every time), but never this location! Specifically here, I love the layout of the restaurant! There's plenty of seating and even an underground extension of their dining area for those looking for chill, boho-esque vibes! The servers always match the energy of the restaurant with a chill attitude and kind helpfulness. As for the food itself: best salads you'll find in Boston hands down. They're fresh, unique, and made with such carefully crafted mixtures of ingredients that every bowl seems to have its own personality. I am NEVER disappointed with what I get here! Definitely give their salads or smoothies a try, but honestly everything here is a 10/10 and it's the perfect place to come to hang with friends or refresh your spirit!

Two words- heathy and plant based. This cafe was a quick walk-in for coffee before a formal meeting at a hotel close by but ended being the best find of the day. Completely organic AND vegetarian, the options are numerous from soups, to bowls, to salads, wraps, smoothies, juice, and even noodles. The interior is tasteful too. Natural elements are used in the deco too- wood, vicar, interior plants etc. The seating is well spaced out between sofas and round tables and two seaters.... it a mix-and -match of all things good. Just loved the place. Got the butternut squash soup, edamame, falafel and orange blossom. The soup was really good and warm for the cold wind outside. Edamame was ok and the orange blossom very refreshing. Note: u have to clean up after urself. They give you ceramicbowls and plates but you have to put in in the designated area after you dispose anything remaining in ur plate. I could come here everyday! Only problem, I don't live here :(

Huge portion! Very tasty Buddha bowl and tahini date shake! The bowl was so hearty and flavorful and the shake was super satisfyingly creamy nutty and sweet. Service was quick and the space is large and colorfully decorated.

Fresh mint hot tea: ginger, lemon and fresh mint

Cute little cafe a short walk from Residence Inn. Love how everything here is organic. The fresh mint hot tea was lovely and ramen wasn't bad. I wasn't a fan of the tofu though because it was hard. Also the server was a little robotic when he came and dropped off my food. Other than that, I had a pretty good experience.

I love the vibe here. This was just a quick coffee to go stop - a cold brew and a latte. It was hard to pass up the menu items. We wound up sitting at the counter and it was fun to see the beautifully prepared drinks. Great service!

Food: The Teriyaki Tofu bowl was a good choice, I liked the crispiness of the tofu, the sauce, and the Asian flavors in this dish (it was also very pretty). Maple cold brew coffee: This was so yum. The cold brew was good, and the vanilla sweet cream foam on top was yummy and refreshing. Service: Food is always fast at Life Alive. Ambiance: I LOVE this store. It is so modern, in such a nice area of Cambridge, so bright, and feels like one of the newer ones!

Mushroom Shawarma Pita and Butternut Bisque

I tried Mushroom Shawarma Pita and Butternut Bisque and the tastes are very interesting. It's definitely not the ordinary dishes that I get to try. They added some interesting flavor/spice in it. In general, it's healthy food and not too pricey. And the food was served very fast after I ordered. The location has plenty of tables during weekends.

Love the smoothies here!! The acai and the halva ones are my favorites, although on the pricier side. They have nice interior with tons of outlets and seating. Great for doing work or studying! Service is great too!

Life alive is a great cafe to have a healthy meal. This time we got smoothies. The ambiance is causal and the staff is so pleasant.

    Chili Garlic Noodles
    Frank Y.

Although the lack of meat options is a limitation if you have family members (particularly kids) that don't embrace the more modern menu , my first visit here was a total hit. I ordered the chili garlic noodles and a side of falafel. Was particularly impressed by the noodles as they were fresh, generously topped with vegetables, and not too spicy. There is a spacious seating area as well for those who want to dine in. Great spot for casual meal!

I came here 4 times when in town for a conference, as this way super conveniently located to the conference center (Menino). It's open 7am-10pm daily, is always seemingly busy but always very efficient and fast to deliver orders, and has a huge amount of comfortable seating. First visit: I tried the vegan breakfast burrito ($12), a nicely designed burrito with tofu, potato, spinach, roasted red peppers, vegan cheese, and mushrooms, served with salsa on the side. Very solid burrito. The Spanish burrito I tried another day--which came with vegan meatballs of some sort--was even better. Second visit: I got an açai bowl ($9 for the small size; $12 for regular), and added vegan protein powder ($2) blended in. It came with açai blended with almond milk, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Real good and plentiful even for the small size. Third visit: just ordered a bagel with vegan cream cheese that had tomato in it, and added some spinach on top ($5.50 total). Very generous spinach portion (for $0.50!), well-toasted bagel, and an appropriate amount of cream cheese. Very tasty. Moreover, each time I visited, I ordered a double espresso ($3.50), which was excellent. Proper espresso, deep body, strong, served with sparkling water and a piece of dark chocolate.

The Platters, both the breakfast and mezze are gorgeous. Pictures attached. The interior has ample seating and is bright and beautiful. Also, they do not pour the tea and if you ask for milk (typically served with dark teas) the waiter gives you impatient side-eye. The cafe has everything, EVERYTHING which could really make it a spectacular experience, and I can say that I will never go again or recommend.
