Dr. Yelian is very knowledgeable and always called me back when I had questions or wanted to discuss my results. He made it clear at my graduation that I am still his patient and can call anytime with questions. I used a known donor, went through egg retrieval (3 cycles to use all sperm), PGT-A testing, endometrial biopsy, embryo transfer, and now have an extremely healthy baby boy (born in 2023). I will be going back for a second embryo transfer later this year. I really liked the fact that all of my medication was customized for me personally and based on my bloodwork at each appointment. I was relieved to only receive minimal stimulation instead of the mass amounts of medication that I've heard from conventional IVF places. That is one of the reasons why I chose Life IVF Center. It's a rough process. I went through at a time when they had a high turn-over in their "new patient" division, so I had a lot of trouble making it through the pre-screening since I was dealing with employees new to the process. My situation was also more complicated since I was using a known donor. I stayed on top of all of my tests and information and made it through. Once I started egg retrieval, everything was a lot better. Please keep in mind that they do not have a dedicated nurse for each patient. I saw whoever was on site the day of my appointment, so keep track of your own progress and testing instead of expecting them to remember everything about your particular situation since everything is customized to each individual patient. Update: after being told my one embryo did not make it and was offered a second IVF trial back in 2020 (we declined) I am now receiving an email with a bill for the storage of my embryo. THIS IS SICKENING! I don't know if this means we still had a fighting chance or that there were more than one embryo. There's not much I can provide at the moment because that all there was from them, an email with billing forms or applications to destroy the embryo. I will be contacting a lawyer. read more

If I could give this place a negative 5 stars I would. I went through the process last year and it was a big waste of time and money. They have cookie cutter plans that do not cater to all and therefore I do not have a baby and I'm out about $15k with cost and travel from SF. They missed my window of retrieving eggs because they place everyone into the same category. When the Dr realize they missed they window he said so easy we can try again next month. WTF???????? We traveled from SF for every appointment.... It they don't care after all they already had my money. And u til today they have NEVER reached out to me even after several calls and e-mails to at least offer a solution or refund some if our money. Then they didn't give me the correct meds we did the transfer and I miscarried weeks into it because of the wrong meds. So unless you have millions and don't care if you have a baby or not DO NOT GO HERE!!! 1. If you look up Dr. Yelian on sart.org you will see that he treats more patients than anyone around. My rationale was that he has seen everything, every intricacy, every nuance. That is the type of experience I want when being treated. I don't want to have to experiment. 2. I shopped Drs in Newport Beach and this is what I found: Dr. Yellian: -bloodwork processed in house in an hour -get your treatment plan within hours of bloodwork -all results published on an online portal that you can access anytime -dedicated nurse email to answer questions. I didn't send very many emails but when I did, I got a response within an hour or so. -you do not see the Dr. Yellian every time. Egg retrieval's, ERA tests, and the initial uterus check is performed by another Dr.(two other Drs on staff) I am okay with this because Dr. Yelian is an expert at transferring embryos. Do you want a jack of all trades, master of nothing? Or someone that focuses on his strength? This is also represented on his sart.org results. He has the best results in Orange County. Trust me, I am that woman that spent the time clicking into all of the Drs to check their stats. Other Drs. -no online portal -bloodwork sent out and you get a call by end of day with results, as long as you go in before 10am. Anything after that is next day. When you are going through an egg retrieval, end of day doesn't always work. Especially if you need to stop your body from ovulating. -no TV monitors to see ultrasound or embryo transfer. Trust me. It's so special to see your little embryo loaded into the catheter and then watch it transferred into your uterus. 3. I had 4 egg retrieval's. After getting only 1 PGS normal embryo after 3 mini stim egg retrievals(that failed to implant after transfer), I decided to do a optimum stim retrieval (more drugs, but less than traditional IVF). My body responded very well and I ended up with 4 normal embryos. I transferred 1 and it implanted. I will say that after my first failed transfer, Dr. Yelian suggested an ERA test to check my uterus receptivity. Usually doctors wait until you have three failed transfers to do this test. This is where seeing a lot of patients really came into play. I'm sure based off of all the patients he has seen, he knew that I probably needed more or less time on progesterone. Did the test, and found out that I needed one more day of progesterone in order to prime my uterus to accept the embryo. read more

This place is not personable at all! This negative review is based on the care/interaction I had at Life IVF, not the results (as results can depend of many factors such as age, health). 1.) During the initial consultation, it was only a Zoom call with the nurse practitioner. She arrived 14 mins late to the call. We ended up speaking to her for 30 mins. Without reviewing our medical records, she asked us if we would consider surrogacy twice. That was kind of odd. Then Dr. Yelian showed up toward the end and only spent 8 minutes talking to us. This should have been a red flag on non personal this place is, yet I was impressed because the doctor had MD and Ph.D. 2. Throughout the IVF cycles, the ultrasound was done by a technician who was not experienced. Almost every single visit, she struggled to use the ultrasound machine and need to get someone to help. 3. All communications are through the coordinator or their portal only. Sometimes the nurses called. 4. After a few failed egg extraction, I asked to speak to the doctor to discuss other alternative methods. You hear back in 2-3 days and he spends less than 2 minutes talking to you. 5. After failed egg extraction while waiting in recovery area, the doctor doesn't even come to tell you the results. We have to learn through a nurse. 6. After our 4th egg extraction and had a fertilized embryo, PGT-A testing should abnormality. We received a document through patient portal. Then a week later, the doctor called to let us know. So insensitive!!! When I picked up the phone, Dr. Yelian was annoyed and the first words out of his mouth were, "you are so hard to reach! I called you a few times already!" I did not see any miss calls and was 100% I did not miss any of his calls. 7. This clinic didn't even explain to us the difference between mini IVF vs. full IVF. The whole time we didn't even realize this clinic only does mini IVF, which doesn't work for all patients. We were eager to start IVF and picked this clinic because we were impressed with the doctor's multiple degrees and it was covered by our company's fertility insurance. We highly recommend Life IVF Center, led by Dr. Frank Yelian, MD, PhD. They have a headquarter located in Irvine and another location in Arcadia. Both offices have the newest technology equipment and a big team full of very caring nurses and specialists who are there to help you through your fertility journey. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for several years before we finally decided to seek fertility treatments. We interviewed more than 5 fertility specialists and ended up with a doctor in the San Gabriel Valley who recommended IUI procedures because it is more affordable and less invasive. However, the success rate for IUI is lower than for IVF. He discouraged us from IVF because I had low ovarian reserve due to my age, which was 41 at the time. We tried several rounds of IUI and ended up with my very first pregnancy ever. We were ecstatic, however, that happiness only lasted 8 weeks when we had a miscarriage. We were heartbroken but not discouraged to continue with our fertility journey. One of my best friends recommended Life IVF Center to us in 2022. My friend and her husband conceived successfully under Dr. Yelian's care several years ago. We found out that from time to time, Dr. Yelian offers complimentary introductory seminars which are both available online and in person. Dr. Yelian usually raffles out a free round of natural cycle IVF treatment to a lucky couple. We didn't win but after we attended the seminar, we were inspired by Dr. Yelian's positivity that low egg count does not mean there are no good quality eggs. There are so many success stories from Life IVF Center. My husband and I decided to make our official switch to Dr. Yelian in early 2022.    After several rounds of egg retrievals and genetic testing of embryos, we finally harbored and froze some precious embryos after about 1.5 years. We recently graduated from Life IVF Center during the summer of 2023 and moved on to our Ob/Gyn. We are so thankful for Dr. Yelian and his team of nurses and technicians at both the Irvine office and the Arcadia office. Everyone we work with is always so caring, patient, and kind to answer all of our questions. We live close to Arcadia so we do most of our monitoring at the Arcadia office. I came to know about Life IVF from a friend who is pregnant after 1 cycle of IVF with them. I am 31 with unexplained infertility for 6 years, I've done 3 times IUI with no success. This is my first time doing IVF and I am overjoyed that I am finally pregnant for the first time after 1 cycle of IVF. My first impression with Life IVF was very good, especially how responsive they are. I called the Arcadia office, and it was always the same person (Fiona) who followed up with me, which makes things very clear. She was very patient in explaining to me everything that I needed to know, and they always reply to my email in less than 10 mins. I bought the one cycle package for $11k. It is the most affordable price that I can find and most importantly their service was very good. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Yelian within the same week so I don't have to wait too long to start my IVF cycle. For my first consultation with Dr. Yelian, he was late for 2 hours, which is understandable since he is busy. But he didn't talk much during the consultation, it was more of me asking questions and leading the conversation, and the call ended in 6 mins. Second consultation was after the first ultrasound and blood work, the call ended in 1 min and he just told me everything is good. I was expecting him to explain to me more. The ovarian stimulation went well. The instructions in the patient portal are very clear. For the egg retrieval, I requested local anesthesia. It was still painful, but manageable. What I appreciated was the nurse called me back the next day to make sure I'm doing okay. One week later, I received my embryo status report and I've got 8 embryos! I would like to share about my experience doing hysteroscopy with them at Irvine. I was very worried that it would be painful, so I requested local anesthesia. But everyone including the front desk staff, nurse and doctor told me that it is not painful, so they didn't administer the anesthesia. From this I see that they're not money minded, because they could have administered anesthesia to me when I requested it. In fact, it was really not painful at all. The cost for hysteroscopy is $2k. In the following month, I did my embryo transfer with Dr. Yelian. It was my first time meeting him, and he was so friendly! 10 days later, I found out that I was pregnant! I couldn't hold my tears when I heard the news from the nurse (Liya), she congratulated me and gave me a hug. That was very sweet of her. This is the first time I've got a positive pregnancy test. It still feels like a dream! For the progesterone medication, I am so glad that I do not have to do the injection, and endometrin is enough for me. Overall, I had a very good experience with Life IVF. All the doctors, nurses and staff that I've met in both Arcadia and Irvine are all very kind. They provide such a good service and the price is much more affordable than other IVF clinics. Fertility treatments are tough, but Life IVF made it a beautiful journey for me. I honestly, don't even know how to start this review. As IVF can be very personal to many of us. I came across LIFE IVF thru an ad I saw on Instagram. I was really interested and did their online seminar during Covid with my husband. Everything that doctor Yelian spoke about during the webinar seemed so natural and like they really cared about their patients. All that came crushing down when I was one of their patients. They never follow up on you! I mean at all! I have never seen doctor Yelian in person!!!! EVER! Don't be surprised if your one of those patients. Don't waste your money on the first time consultation at all!! Please save your $325 dollars, they will come in handy when they make you pay for something else. The first time consultation was a waste of money for him to ask me questions I had already answer on my patient portal. The first consultation was literally 4 minutes. He doesn't care for his patients. I honestly, felt like it was a waste of time. During my monitoring, I had to sometimes wait in my car for 1-2 hours before I could get any medication from the nurses. Which made no sense! I waited in my car 1-2 hours because I lived about 1 hour away. I don't think they see that they are wasting patients time for medication when it can be done right after the ultrasound check ups. I did my egg retrieval in January and as today, no one has reached out to us about when we plan on doing the transfer. Also, during egg retrieval Dr.Kao was very rude. I honestly felt Intimidated with the way he spoke to me, when he was getting ready for the egg retrieval. Next, I had to call back just this Friday and check for myself to see what's the next step was. I am so disappointed with this place. I wish I would've done more research on my end to prevent all this from happening to us. Please don't waSte your money. You'll be another transaction for the day for them. The price for the 14k sounds cheap but, it will add up since not everything is included. We all know IVF can be very pricey but, do a little more research and don't waste your money here. As an LGBT couple we were a bit nervous in finding a clinic to assist us in expanding our family, since not everyone can be welcoming. We are so beyond grateful to have found this clinic. Life IVF Irvine has made this rollercoaster of a journey a lot easier. We always had an amazing experience each appointment (and we've had TONS of appointments). Everyone is so welcoming from the front desk to the nurses to the doctor. As soon as I would walk in, the front desk worker Maria would know our first and last name without me saying anything. They have so many clients every day it was a nice feeling to know they remembered our names. I had LOADS of questions when we were getting ready to make our first IUI and I called numerous times within the hour and everytime they answered they were very friendly. The ultrasound tech Hilda was a ray of sunshine everytime we saw her. She was very knowledgeable, I loved that she explained to me what she saw. She made me feel calm when I had my SIS test done, which can be an uncomfortable procedure. Around 5 weeks of pregnancy, I had bleeding and I freaked out. My partner called the clinic and the were very reassuring that everything was okay. They even called back to check on us. We are now graduated from the clinic, a bittersweet moment. Glad that we finally made it to this point in our journey but very sad to leave Life IVF. My partner and I joked why can't Dr. Yelian just deliver our baby. He assured us that if we have any questions or need a 2nd opinion that we can call and that he will always be our doctor. We are very thankful for Dr. Yelian for making it possible to expand our family. We will miss everyone at the office, but we will be back in 2 years for baby #2. It has definitely taken me some time to write this review. It's hard to begin to explain your feelings. The process of going through infertility is beyond an emotional roller coaster. Before I found life IVF Center I went through multiple doctors at multiple locations. All previous doctors told me after trying one round with them that it would never happen biologically. That my only option was donor eggs or adoption if I ever wanted to become a mother. Hearing those words definitely can break you down. I went to a acupuncture fertility doctor and he told me about life IVF. At this point I thought why not let's try. Boy did I find the place that I was supposed to be, mother at. Dr. Yellian and this incredible stuff that he has are absolutely the most loving caring genuine people that I have ever met. The first time I met with doctor he reassured me over and over that he did not see any reason why it couldn't happen with my own eggs. He told me as long as I promise to give him time and patience that they would figure this out. It took us 2 1/2 years with them to get good quality eggs in order to get ready for transfer. September 7th in 2018 was the day we were going to try to transfer our first embryo and finally trying to become a mother. It was hands-down the most amazing feeling that I finally got to this point and if it wasn't for these doctors in this stuff I never would finally become a mom to the most beautiful little girl in the entire world. It still makes me cry every single time I think about it all the struggles all the emotional roller coasters every single month came down to one day. We found out two weeks later that it took and I was pregnant and I'll never forget this. Please save your money, time and tears and DO NOT come here. I know they are extremely affordable but please do your due diligence on this clinic before coming here. Don't be a fool like me and use Yelp as your primary source of information. Please refer to their stats on CDC and look on fertility IQ and you will see that the majority of patients here do not find success. I know that you see a lot of success stories on Yelp.. but check the CDC site for stats. In 2018, out of 2950 cycles only 343 patients achieved pregnancy. And when you do achieve success here Dr. Yelian will personally ask you to write a Yelp review. That's why you see so many either 5 star or 1 star ratings. There's no In-between. I attached the CDC results for your reference. It takes an average of almost 4 retrieval's to achieve pregnancy at life ivf.. 343 pregnancies out of 2950 cycles??? I'm no mathematician but those seem like really bad odds.... I am YOU, the desperate infertile girl that read through every. single. review.. looking for any ounce of hope and that's what made me decide to come here. I was a patient at LIFE from April 2020 till November 2020 and spent a lot of time and money here with no results. Their lab is the WORST. The embryologist look like they just graduated college and the main embryologist didn't speak English very well which causes a lot of miscommunication. My main issue was low AMH due to a laparoscopic surgery to remove a grapefruit sized cyst from my right ovary. They had to cut away quite a bit of my right ovary to remove it which resulted in my Amh dropping from 2.1 to below 0.70 They have a major problem with their lab and their overall practice. You only see the dr at the time of transfer and retrieval- That's it! And if you have any additional questions for the dr, he charges $75 for you to see him or receive a call from him EACH TIME, WTF!!!! Dr. Yelian and Dr. kao have atrocious bedside manner.. it's hard to believe they are actual medical professionals. After my FET they put you in a recovery area and he came in to check on me. I was crying bc I was so overwhelmed with emotion being that it was my first transfer. He said, why are you crying? I replied- I'm nervous. And he said ok..... and left. They don't care that you're going through infertility. They care about one thing. YOUR MONEY. I am pretty young (32 yrs) so I was certain my egg quality wouldn't be an issue. Quality over quantity they say! After day 3 MOST of my embryos arrested. Now if my day 3 embryos were of bad quality then I understand they most likely won't make it to blast. But they were perfectly graded guys!!! 10.1.1 - 10 cells, hardly any fragmentation! Text book perfect day 3! And they all arrested except 1 which became my 4BB pgs girl. Look at the pictures attached of my results. out of 4 retrieval's- I had 24 eggs total, 15 mature eggs, ONLY 5 ever made it to blast and out of the 5 I got 2 pgs normal. Those are typical numbers for women with advanced age but not if your in your early 30's. Negligence is what caused all my embryos to arrest. I finally decided to leave this clinic and transfer all my embryos out to my new doctor in Newport Beach who I absolutely love and who actually cares!!! My first retrieval with My new clinic- they got 11 eggs, 10 mature, 8 fertilized and 6 blasts resulting in 3 pgs normal. I showed him my old charts from life ivf and he was in disbelief with my results. He couldn't understand why life was having issues with culturing my embryos to blast. The lab is the most important piece of the puzzle. Embryos are so fragile, any little thing could cause them to arrest. Dr. Yelian made me believe it was my egg quality issue. He could only ever create DAY 6 blasts from me and said because of my egg quality, it was near impossible to make any blast on day 5. Well, at my new clinic, all my blasts were day 5.. and they were all 4AA or 4BA! I also consulted with 5 different ivf clinics before I committed to this one in Newport and guess what.... ALL the drs that I had consultations with knew of Dr. yelian and they ALL said he has a really bad reputation in the ivf industry. Even my acupuncturist knew who he was and asked me why I'm going to him. She said she's had so many of her own patients complain about him and eventually leave his clinic after spending a ton of money with no results. Message me privately and I would love to refer you to my Dr. in Newport Beach. He is a bit pricey but good ain't cheap! Please don't come here because it's cheap!! Infertility is daunting and lonely.. you need compassionate drs and nurses on your team! Also their billing dept sucks! Incompetent to say the least! I have to write a review after reading the previous review which bothers me tremendously. I have done few rounds from another famous clinic in Irvine few years ago. At other clinic: Each round, I made more than 22 follicles and 0 (ZERO) made to day 5 blastocysts. For both rounds, I made 0 blastocysts which devastated me. Everything died. I was forced to transfer all embryos on several occasions and resulted in no pregnancy. I almost gave up hope. I could have written a bad review to bash that clinic because I RESENT THAT DOCTOR SO MUCH for causing mental distress on me but I won't do that. And this clinic has 100% 5 stars rating which baffles me until today. I went into depression for almost 2 years until I listen to my friend and go to LIFE IVF free seminar. My colleague who had suffered from infertility for 15 years (FIFTEEN YEARS). They did 8 years of IVF + 7 years trying naturally and finally got pregnant at LIFE IVF. He told me to come here from the beginning of my IVF journey but I didn't listen to him due to bad yelpers who wrote bad reviews here at LIFE IVF. That's why I went to other clinic with 100% 5 stars rating first which I regret deeply. My husband and I regret daily for wasting 2 precious years at other clinic. One day I was on Facebook and Life IVF popped up so I decided to research, very glad my husband and I did! Signed up for the webinar, and started treatment right away.. The center is very busy but all the nurses are very nice helpful and kind! There's one person who sits in front and checks u in n out that is not very polite but one out of all!!! You can't complain!! Our experience was 100% amazing and successful! Doctor Wu was only able to retrieve one egg that was good for this transfer so we had to make sure this would work all the years money and traveling we just were hoping for the best results!!!! Disappointed. I chose this clinic not only because their price is reasonable, but mainly because they are 10 minutes away from me so it makes the twice a week follow up easy. Also, the in house lab and pharmacy too. However, after retrieval, i don't think it's worth it. Two days prior to retrieval, they said I can request for Dr. Yelian. On retrieval day, the front desk still verified my doctor choice, and also asked me to pay for local anesthesia even though my contract says it comes with it. Once I was brought into the procedure area, the MA still confirmed my doctor to be Dr. Yelian. Got into the actual procedure room, the nurse again confirmed, and on the screen it says his Dr. Yelian too. Once i was strapped up, legs opened on the table, and right before doctor came it, the nurse said, "so Dr. Yelian is not here, he's probably will not be here until way later, the Arcadia office should have told you this, the doctor doing the procedure is Dr, Okour, he's as good." I felt like they had ample time and chances to tell me yet they waited until the very last minute to say my doctor is someone else. This doctor looks lost. My local anesthesia was not given, he started jamming speculum into me. I had to ask when is my local anesthesia going to be administered. The MA gave me instructions, and told me they call me in two days if it's fertilized. I'm only doing egg freezing, hope they're not fertilizing it with a random sperms. I'm losing all trust. I don't think they take into consideration this process is very difficult mentally and physically for women. I personally felt played. read more

It took me a while to write this because there is so much I want to say about Life IVF and the gratitude I have for them. I started this process at 41 with conventional IVF at "the" place in Beverly Hills. After 4 rounds of conventional IVF, 1 PGS normal embryo that miscarried, we were told by "the" place our only option at 42 was donor eggs. I wasn't ready to give up. A friend of mine, who was my age, had gone to Life IVF and was pregnant by them. Their philosophy seemed to really make sense to me. Basically, too many chemicals damage already fragile older eggs. So, the theory is finding that perfect balance of enough meds to have a few eggs of high quality but not enough meds to damage the eggs further. Sometimes this means no medicine at all. At 42.5 we bought two packages of three rounds and did PGS testing. I found the nurses and lab techs extremely skilled at their jobs. Everyone worked with care and held my hand along the way. It was a lot to drive an hour from LA for monitoring but was less monitoring than conventional IVF so it was ok. And because it worked, at 43 I gave birth to a beautifully perfect son with my own eggs. I cannot thank Dr. Yelian, Dr Kao and the staff enough. I would like to share some thoughts and experience. I learnt from IVF is that quality is much more important than quantity and the doctor's skills and knowledge for the protocol are very critical. I started IVF journey since 2023 from another fertility center. When we chose fertility center, I was just thinking it had better close to our house and had good reviews, so I went to another clinic at the beginning. My issues were one of the fallopian tubes blocked and had bumpy and thick endometrium. I had 3 times hysteroscopies as well. I took a lot of medication (over 100 shots) and spent much more money from that clinic. I got 7 embryos and 4 passed PGT-A testing and used AB quality of embryo to transfer. I tried 1 IUI and 1.5 times IVF but both were failed. During that year, I was depressed, anxiety and even hopeless. And then, I made decision to change another clinic that referred from other people and gave a try. I accepted mini IVF, which used less medication, less time and money but get the same good quality of embryos. It's a clear apples- to-apples comparison to treat on one patient and I'm now pregnant and just finished IVF. Maybe I'm also lucky. Just like you roll the dice and there's possibility that you got 6. One thing you have to remember that IVF is not guaranteed 100% success and you need to mentally prepared. A lot of diseases and unknown secrets in our body are still waiting for us to conquer and discover but IVF is better than nothing we can do, so get your mind in order and don't give up too early. I DID IT............I finally did it. I graduate from Life IVF! Here is my story! It has been a long journey for us. I started IVF in the beginning of 2018 at a very reputable clinic in Irvine. I made around 22 follicles/cycle but ended up with only 2 and 3 embryos for day 3 for both rounds. Everything just died off in their lab and nothing reached day 5. I was told by embryologist that I will never be able to have our own kids. I was depressed since 2018 and the mental damage has been affected me until now. Every single day, we regret going to that clinic. I wasted more than 1 year there and failed miserably. My friend who failed 8 rounds of IVF in LA told me from the beginning to come to Life IVF because they got pregnant at Life IVF on their 9th and last round. I did not listen due to all angry yelp negative reviews. I told my friend but he told me to ignore those angry reviews and Life IVF is the place to go. Around May 2019, we went to one of the Seminar on Saturday. The minute I walked in, I knew this is THE PLACE. Immediately, I felt this is HOPE and this is where I will be pregnant. The more Dr. Yelian spoke, the more I feel I make right decision. My husband was super eager to get started. I started a 3rd cycle in June, everything made it by pass day 3. I made a PGS NORMAL EMBRYO right away. Every round is different, it is hard to find a PGS normal embryo so I kept doing more rounds to save up more PGS normal embryos in case I fail the FET. There is no round that any of my embryos do not reach day 5. Everything made to day 5 & 6. Finally, we did our very 1st FET on July 23, 2002. I tested positive at home 3 days after FET. My 1st beta HCG was 382.4 & 2nd beta HCG was 1319. I can not believe I am pregnant with 1st FET! Never in a million years, I imagine myself graduating from Life IVF and share my story. I had many consults with Dr. Yelian and he always comforted me that "I WILL GET YOU PREGNANT!" Life IVF lab is the key to success! I had a great experience with everyone at Life IVF. The phlebotomists are so skilled, the nurses and ultrasound techs so kind. Dr. Y has a calm, gentle manner that I found very comforting. My husband and I chose the 2-cycle package knowing that given our history we had a mountain to climb. I was 38 when I started with Life and had never even had a positive pregnancy test. We did back to back egg retrievals, took a month off, and then FET. Everything went smoothly, my questions were always answered, and I could log into the portal for results at my pace, when I was in a good headspace and in the privacy of my own home. Life's system works for my personality. I didn't need to see the dr. at every visit and generally like to do things on my own. My little girl just turned 4 months and I'm in awe of her every day. * The BEST THINGS about this clinic are the phlebotomists, ultrasound techs and nurses. They are kind and empathetic human beings and competent. * regardless of positive/negative outcome, I think all prospective customers should experience kind and empathetic care. READ ALL THE 1 star ratings and know what you're getting into. Even if the outcome was not what you expected, you should be able to walk away and be able to say that at least the clinic was a wonderful experience but I am unable to do so. Just going to state the facts here: * besides your first consultation you will NEVER see or hear from the doctor except during retrievals. * there is no guarantee you can get anesthesia * if you have a procedure on Sunday they will charge extra * all next steps, plans and communications are done through the portal with calls from the nurse and you might not get a call at all. * if your embryos fail to Grow you will not hear from the doctor or nurse. You get the report through a portal. * if your beta hcg returns negative you get notified through a portal message to stop all meds and come back on cycle day 2 for the next round. Again no call from a person. * i heard from the doctor only once without my request after the unsuccessful transfer of my last existing embryo. He was kind and proposed a plan to keep me coming back for further cycles. Just felt strange since this is the only time he contacted me ever. * if you request to speak with the doctor, you may be charged for it and generally dr Yelian is kind and optimistic and will encourages you to continue trying. But you have to request it if you want to speak to a doctor and you have to pay. * after a failed cycle, you decide what to do next and just call on cycle day 2 to schedule your lab and interesting. No one will call you to discuss next steps it follows up on your plan * No one contacts you to review the treatment plan or consider alternate options or talk about egg donor or surrogacy etc * if you are anxious and not sedated enough during the procedure. Doctor might abruptly just say "do you want to cancel the procedure or what". There is no reassurance, kindness, or empathy from Drs Vu or Kao. ( multiple experiences of this) * if you are upset or crying or in pain or anxious during the procedure no doctor will check in on you afterwards in the recovery area. I have experienced this personally and witnessed this many times with other patients next to me crying hysterically behind their curtains. * this clinic is for you have experience, if just want to do monitoring, egg retrievals, and implants with minimal doctor discussions. I can see the appeal if you have done this for a long time and know what you need done. But for the cost it may be worth it to find a place where you don't feel like just a number in a machine. There ARE places where the doctor is the one doing the ultrasound every single time and speaks with you EVERY visit. This is not one of those places. read more

The is for my experience with the office in Aug 2017. The entire time I felt like just a hen in an egg farm. Everything is very impersonal, mass produced and manufacturing like operation to take money from desperate couples. During consultation, Dr. Yelian is very casual about how to prepare ourselves. No special dietary restriction, no supplements, drinking is whatever. We probably should have stopped there. However, my coworker had success there, so we decided the move forward. During the retrieval, Dr. and staffs were talking about fishing and their plans later. I am not sure how I feel about this. After more than 10 eggs retrieved and 5 successful embryos, all arrested at day 5 without any explanation. I had to call the office request a response from the doctor and the embryologist. Of course, no one knows the cause. Thousands of dollars down the drain. I switched to a reputable doctor in Westwood and was successful on the first try. Enough said. read more

I just gave birth to our little miracle girl on 10/30 & we couldn't be happier! Life IVF helped our dream come true & we are forever grateful. All of the girls that work here are so amazing & supportive. It does seem a bit like a factory line, with multiple patients going in & out, the frequency of appointments, etc. The one thing they could benefit from is a bit more of a personalized approach. At the same time I also saw an acupuncturist & followed a very strict diet due to a low egg count. I would not wish infertility on anyone, as it was one of the hardest things I have gone through. My body did not respond well to all of the injections used in most IVF/IUI procedures, so we loved Dr. Yelian's approach. This may not be for everyone but it worked well for us. I had egg retreival when I was 42 years old. I agreed with Dr. Yelian's philosophy where he uses minimized medication as I did not want to bombard myself with so much medication with conventional IVF. Dr. Yelian believes that we need one good quality egg with minimized IVF which I did! I had a pregnancy condition called vasa previa which made me have a high risk pregnancy but my baby just needed to have a good fetal management with obgyn and MFM while I was pregnant. We came here in May 2022. Paid for the $22k package and walked away in January 2023 with a $35k bill in total, zero embryos and broken hearts. Had a consult with another clinic who didn't feel PRP was proven enough. And stated I wasn't medicated enough for my cycles and he did not see enough variation in cycles to get any different results. The definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over expecting w different result. It's an assembly line run by LVNs and people who can barely command the English language. After no results with TCM, a friend referred us to Life IVF. My husband and I agreed this would be our final attempt, as we were both physically and emotionally drained, not to mention the financial strain. We attended the Life IVF informational seminar, and never looked back. After a few natural IVF cycles, Dr. Yelian got us pregnant with the first embryo transfer. If interested, keep reading for tips. *** Foreword, Life IVF Center is incredibly busy. You will not get assigned one nurse, you will not see the doctor at every visit, and you will probably not get a call back every time. But you can make it work. Here are a few tips from someone who has been around the block: -Be proactive. Unlike other clinics, Life IVF's approach is hand's off. If this is your first IVF ever, you might be overwhelmed. Not to fear, first-timers, you just need to do homework. Listen actively (pay attention, put down your cell phone), take notes when they are explaining how a particular thing works and call the nurses for further clarity, if needed. If you have done IVF before, you will find their instructions logical and easier to follow. -Use the Life Patient Portal. I love how my lab results, upcoming appointments, med instructions and private messages are all centralized in one place. If I ask the "Nurse Portal" a question, someone will likely respond by end of day. On a few occasions, I don't get a response. If the matter is not urgent, don't freak out, call the next day. -Schedule your blood/ultra sound early. Yes, the clinic is always busy. Yes, the waiting is constant. Bring a good book. However, if I schedule my blood and ultra sound early (like, be the first person that morning), I receive my instructions by noon-ish, and I'm off to the races. -Use of E-mail. Rather than calling Finance for billing questions, e-mailing is a great way to ensure both parties have a clear understanding of what is going on. Michele of Finance is efficient. She is clear and concise. -Less Face time. Compared to other conventional IVF clinics, you have less face time with the doctors here. This is true. Likely you will see the doctors only at procedure time (retrieval, implant, & repeat). However, at my last reputable clinic, my doctor greeted me at every single visit. So what? I am so grateful to Dr. Yelian and his team . ! I am a 40 years old mom with complicated reproduction conditions. I have double uterus, blocked fallopian tubes which are troubles to doctor's decision making. But Dr. Yelian went through these troubles quickly with his highly skilled medical knowledge and make my IVF process goes smoothly. After egg retrieval, i only got one live embryo n my uterus seemed to still have polypus there after surgery. This is really stressful to me . I absolutely love this place! wish I can continue my OB care with them. Regardless of whether I was successful or not, I was going to leave a good review. This clinic is very straightforward and logical. They are very busy and you will your doctor at retrieval and transfer only. All the other times, it will be nurses. But Dr. Yelian reviews every appointment and give instructions accordingly. Retrieval was smooth, so was transfer. Reports were sent on time, blood tests came out in an hour max. If you need extra care with I monitored at Arcadia and I was in and out in 10 minutes. The nurses there are amazing ! Liya, Carla and Rosa made this lonely process easier. It is crazy to say but we are 30 weeks pregnant! That miracle happened only because of Life IVF, dr. Yelian and his team. We are forever thankful and have no words to express our gratitude. My wife and I spent 2 years trying at another IVF center with no positive results. We started at 36 years old and they couldn't find anything wrong with either of us after a ton of tests. A TON... We were recommended to LIFE and were skeptical at first because it was an hour and a half away from us. We started with the Saturday new client seminar and it was amazing to see the volume of success LIFE has. Our old clinic was very nice and the doctors were a pleasure to work with but they didn't have nearly the number of patients on the go. At first that scared us because we didn't think we would get the attention we needed but that was not an issue at all. Dr Yelian was there for any questions we had and the nurses were always available and fast. We both work full time and the hours were also very flexible which was great. Open Sat. Dr Yelian's approach was different from our past doctor and his results were fantastic. From start(Aug) to finish(Dec) it was 5 months. We just graduated to an OBGYN. Due date in July :) The office is big and there are a lot of staff which can be overwhelming at first but the price and results are fantastic. The doctors have soooooo much experience it's unreal. Thank you Samantha C. after almost a year and 8 retrievals I have consulted with relatives who are REI and OBGYNs, other IVF specialists. I also read the reviews here . These are my experience Some reviewers said that Life IVF has SART success rates much higher than other centers in CA: that is not true. Life does not exist in SART website. My cousin who is REI and other specialists told me that Life doctor Yelian is not board certified and his embryologists are not certified so Life is not accepted into SART Rose T. said : "they are not clinically license (paraphrasing here) to check semen for morphology abnormalities." She is correct. Life has no license or people qualified to do complete semen analysis but Life has been telling patients for years that Life is doing semen analysis. i don't even think the hormone lab at Life was qualified either. That's why the website at Life IVF never showed any lab medical technologist or embryologist qualification or training credentials. I saw a facebook group posting that some patients shared that when they questioned Life staff about training credentials of Life embryology lab or hormone lab, they became angry at the patients and never answered. People should ask Life about their training experience and credential Dr yelian exagerates the success of Life in his webinar and like many others I was lured to do many cycles because of his giving false hope and cheap cost but really poor quality. he also uses " natural IVF" to attract patients but only giving clomids. Most REIs don't use any clomid in IVF stimulation. Clomid only gives patient few or 1-2 egg and they end up being sold many cycles. It is bad ! By the way. during my cycles there I find that he did not review my records and did not really know my results and only pushing for "buying 3 more cycles". Dr Kao and Dr Vu seem to know more about patients than Dr Yelian who in my opinion is just a salesman. But Dr Yelian owns the business. For those who are lucky few who got pregnant after doing many retrieval cycles, I am happy for them but they forgot that there are hundreds or thousands other patients who fail. Everyone should look at CDC data of Life and other centers in CA or in the country for your own research. One patient posts CDC results in yelp review and I agree It seems like Life hires many international employees with little training or they train people there . I find out that many of Life "nurses" are not RNs and some are not even in medical field. I should have done my homework and checking credentials and success rates of Life IVF center. read more
