    Gopchang jungol
    Claire H.

I've seen this place for a while now, and have been to their sister restaurants (in Duluth that are now closed). I've had their soy sauce marinated crabs, their hot noodles, but this time I got the gopchang jungol. I shared it with my mom and we still had 2 things of leftovers. You can add as much spice as you want, and it'll be just as good regardless. It's flavorful and is perfect for any kind of weather. Their side dishes are also really good, but keep in mind that their kimchi is a bit more garlicky than what others may prefer. They also have other menu items, but still very limited. Service was ok, which I get because they're limited on staff and was relatively busy... but they could've asked if we were getting a jungol (to be seated at the right table with a stove) or just a regular "meal". Regardless, I'd definitely come back again!

We got the myeongdong noodles, beef soup and dumplings! The dumplings were so big and juicy! It came with four but honestly felt like eight. The myeongdong noodles were super flavorful and the noodles were not overcooked. The beef soup had the perfect amount of seasoning and was so hearty. It was really packed with beef and noodles. They also had this amazing spicy paste was so perfect for the soup. It was a must add! It really added so much more flavor and wasn't too spicy. The side dishes were also good! Everything tasted amazing and fresh. Will definitely be back for a hearty home cooked tasting meal. The service was also friendly and fast ! Overall, a great spot to try some authentic Korean dishes.

My family and I came in on a weekday for lunch and it wasn't too busy. The service was good as we were seated immediately and our food came out fresh and hot in relatively big servings. They also offer a variety of soups, sides & platters at an affordable price!

-service was rude; didn't even look me in the eye when we walked in the door -seollungtang has a lot of msg, comes pre-salted -kimchi and radish kimchi was too sweet for my liking -can't speak for the other dishes that my party had but everyone else thought it was meh -restaurant ambiance is average

Had the pleasure of dining at Life Soup (the Korean name sounds more attractive) with a friend and enjoyed some delicious and hearty Korean stews. Life Soup specializes in Korean stews and cold buckwheat noodles so I opted for their original dish, the pork guk bap. My friend ordered the soon dae guk and we both enjoyed our dishes very much. The stews were already seasoned so I didn't feel the need to add anything to it other than a small scoop of Korean chili red paste to add a little heat to the stew. The side dishes that it came with complimented the stews very well and the service was very friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable and I hope this restaurant suceeds and stays in business for a long time as the concept is solid and a very welcome addition to the Assi Plaza. Parking is in a shared parking lot with Assi market so it's easy. 5 yelp stars and two thumbs up. Thank you!

We drove by Assi plaza looking for food and saw Life Soup on the right side and decided to give it a try. Their menu only has a handful of items. I ordered the beef rice soup and husband ordered the spicy gamjatang. They provide you with basic seasoning for the soup: salt, pepper, spicy paste. Gamjatang comes slightly preseasoned with a lot of pepper. There was a ton of meat and potatoes. Husband really enjoyed his dish. The beef rice soup came with a good amount of meat and was pretty good also. Side dishes included kimchi, radish kimchi, seaweed, squid, fish cakes, and jelly. Husband said the raw squid was pretty good and we enjoyed the kimchi side dishes as well. Service was okay, nothing special either. It was a pretty late lunch and just a few tables.

The Second Level / Upper Floor is reserved for if you are going to be ordering/dining in for the pastas and/or savory foods. I only tried their coffee today on the first level. I did go upstairs to check it out and did see a bunch of people upstairs just sitting and chilling on their laptops with their coffees/drinks; so they may not really enforce their "reserved for pasta dining only" rule. Not sure. Ambiance (First Level / First Floor) - clean, nice, laid-back, chill, cool environment. Casual setting. Cool architecture, design, layout, and decor. Can get loud inside as ceilings are high and can get echo-y, especially if there are alot of people. Also, there is music constantly playing in background. Service (First Level / First Floor) - customer service was quick and straightforward. They were nice and polite. A+. No complaints here. Coffee (First Level / First Floor) - tried their "Korean Iced Coffee" for $7.25. It was one size only and one price at $7.25. It was delicious. Almost similar tasting to a Vietnamese coffee in my opinion (both are delicious). That strong, brewed coffee flavor with this delicious milky, sweetened condensed milk taste. I am not exactly sure if they used sweetened condensed milk in the Korean iced coffee, but it sure does taste similar to it. It's quite good. Also had a "Large Hazelnut Hot Coffee" with creamer for $5.95. It was okay. Total with tax for the two drinks was $13.99. Keep in mind that the WiFi is on your receipt as a QR Code at the bottom. So if you want to use the WiFi, ask for the receipt and/or keep the receipt so that you can scan the QR Code in order to use the WiFi. There was no password on the receipt, only a QR Code that you need to scan. Overall - Yes I would recommend this place for a nice little coffee stop. Check it out for yourself. Enjoy!

I picked this spot as a first meet, they apparently can't tell time. :D so I decided to write a review. I ordered chai instead of coffee and love that it's not syrupy and has a bit of a spice bite. The desserts look delish so I might have to come back when I'm up in Suwanee again.

Each dessert and drink is a work of art. I'm in love with this cottage aesthetic cafe. The desserts served here cannot be found anywhere else. I can't say enough about the warm welcome all customers receive. Must-try: 1 Chubby macaroons are loaded with flavor and have the perfect texture. The injoelmi flavor is perfect. 2 Basque cheesecake with adorable hand-scooped whipped cream on top. I tried the matcha, but will also try the ube and pistachio flavors in the future. 3 Viral chewy Dubai cookies These are extremely difficult to make. I've had these at a few different shops and the homemade ones here are the best I've had so far. Not too sweet and loaded with crispy filling. 4 Mini Cookies - currently the cookies are Nintendo and Sanrio themed. 5 Seasonal drinks - I tried the black sesame latte, which you can add matcha or coffee to also. Next time, will try the ube latte.

We were pleasantly surprised by how big the space is! It's a great place to hang out, chat, or meet with a larger group. Caffe Bean is a Korean bakery-style coffee shop that offers light plates and desserts like shaved ice, smoothies, sandwiches, waffles, and of course coffee. The service was very quick, and I believe the owner helped us; she was very pleasant and welcoming. One thing I really loved about the space is how open yet private it feels. They've placed small decorative planters around the seating areas that act as dividers, so you don't feel like you're sitting right next to other guests. I ordered the taro latte and it was delicious; you ca definitely taste the taro flavor. You can get it hot or iced, and I chose it hot. We also tried the Saigon coffee, which is their spin on Vietnamese coffee. It's not exactly the same as traditional Vietnamese coffee, but it was still good. Overall, a great spot if you're looking for a relaxed place to enjoy coffee, desserts, and good conversation.
