Love this gym! I've been coming here on and off for a year. I recently decided to start taking their yoga courses and I think they're amazing for beginners! It's so reasonably priced, most yoga shacks are around $100 a month!! You can get a lifetime membership for much cheaper than that and it comes with sauna access, pool access, so many more classes and obviously he gym itself! Three words - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Get it straight, this gym membership is not cheap $87.47 per month. I can spend my money ANYWHERE I choose. Like an idiot I chose Life Time Fitness. They don't need or want my money. The trainer manager Lee Webber is a poor excuse for a manager and does not understand customer service. I initially called to get a $148.98 refund for a charge I did not authorize. I purchased only 2 sets of 12 sessions of GTX, a special they were offering. I authorized those charges but not the third month. I called the corporate customer service line first. They told me I had to deal with the local location. I called the Mansfield location. I was told the ONLY person who could address the refund request was LEE WEBBER, the worst excuse for a manager. I left a message, no return call. I called back later that day, left a message, no return call. Over a 2-day period, I called 5 times and left messages. Each person swore that he would get back with me. No text message or call back. I have now called the corporate customer service line twice they said give them 48 hours. It has been longer than that and no callback or refund. Want to know why I am really upset? The one person that is authorized to refund me my money won't bother to return a phone call. So Sunday, April 21, 2019 I walked into the location and asked for LEE WEBBER but he was already gone for the day. Ok, so guess what, I cancelled my membership that night. I have been going to this gym for just about 2 and a half years now and have been happy with it until the new staff came and started pulling rules out of their asses like 15 year olds can't be in the gym by themselves, and no duffel bags upstairs. I used to be able to get my whole family in with one scan but there is a new lady at the desk that makes us scan each and every card, this takes a minute and really pisses me off each time I come here. Also for some reason, they made a rule where under 15 has to wear a bracelet. I am so disappointed in this gym and I don't recommend signing up with lifetime. read more

Initially, I did not have a good experience with the Mansfield location. I felt the enrollment process was sketchy in terms of disappearing discounts and the whole experience left me uncomfortable. However, I received extraordinary service from member services manager Kerri Hamilton. My concerns probably sounded exaggerated but Kerri treated me with kindness and respect and went above and beyond for me. In a few months I will be moving closer to another location. Based on the service I received from Kerri, I will join at the new location. The person who originally handled my membership was very like a used car salesman. Be careful and watch your bank statements carefully. This location charged me $50 more than usual for the members fee and when I called to asked, they said that I added an extra member when me and my two other family members in the plan NEVER spoke to anyone about it or even thought about adding someone. Yes, my name is common but they always make members verify the address for accounts so does this happen? They transferred me to corporate where I spoke to Liz who claimed to return the fees. This was 10 days ago. No refund yet so I called again and my account was not labelled anything about returning the fees. Corporate closes at 5pm so I have to call again tomorrow but this is such a hassle for a mistake on their behalf. read more

I just signed up to the New Liftime Fitness here in Mansfield on the border of Arlington and I have to say, it's the most luxurious Gym I have ever been too. This place blows away every gym I've ever worked out in. There's 40 inch LCD lining the walls all around the place, personal machines with built in TV's, more equipment then you could ever want, a Rock climbing wall, indoor soccer and football field, racquetball courts, spinning, a day spa, hair salon, gourmet cafeteria with healthy food and really nice and helpful staff.. All this for $50 bucks down and $49 a month with no membership contract..! Do yourself a favor if there's one near you, and you work out daily or weekly, you HAVE to check it out.. read more

My husband and I became members here in December of 2016. We fell in love with the gym - it's big, clean, has plenty of stuff to do, staff is friendly. After becoming pregnant in October of 2017 I started to come in less often and finally put my account on hold right before my due date. I recently started coming back and this place has gone down hill. First, people keep the keys in the women's locker room. I remember there always being a handful of lockers that were actually taken and in the first section of lockers there were SEVEN available lockers out of sixty six. I thought wow there must be a ton of women here today..... definitely not 59 women there - and again that was just the first section of lockers. Second, probably tying in with the first point.. people take their bags upstairs and they are everywhere. There are bags, phones, water bottles, towels, all laid out on the floor everywhere and it's like navigating around pot holes. Isn't that what the lockers are for? I guess that's what the lockers are for if you can find an available one. Plus, when we signed up we were told no bags upstairs. Third, there used to be a sign that said no children under the age of 12 upstairs. I guess that rule doesn't apply anymore because tonight (Friday 28th) there were 6 kids upstairs playing on their phones, sitting on the machines, and there were 2 girls playing with the large exercise balls like toys. I saw 3 staff members walk upstairs and no one said anything to them. Not sure where their parents were either. Fourth, I see that a bunch of equipment is missing. There is less mats, only two medicine balls (what?), only one plyobox, only 2 foam rollers (unless people are hoarding these items every single time) - it just seems there was much more equipment when we originally signed up - or even 6 months ago. Lastly, the staff is no where near as friendly as they were before either. They used to tell me "enjoy your workout" now they just scan your card and continue their conversation with the other employee. Oh, and "bye, have a good day/night" is not a thing anymore either. You'd think at least 1 of the 4 times I've been back in someone would be kind enough. Not that a greeting or saying bye is the end of the world but the old staff definitely knew what customer service was. To anyone who is even considering this gym, don't. It is packed literally all day and you'll spend more time waiting on the machines you want than actually working out. The cafe is over priced for mediocre food and the spa is just hilarious. They don't have any professionals working there. To top it off, the staff is rude and very disrespectful. I don't know why everyone has such an issue here. I've been going to this gym for about 4 months and have had zero issues with customer service, trainers, or people. The three things I do not enjoy about the gym: 1) WAYYYYYY too expensive 2) Women's locker room is always very clean BUT their toilets need some fixing. They wobble and look like their about to get ripped off the wall. 3) PARKING ugh!! I've been late to several of my workout classes that I was 15 minutes "early" to because I drive in circles in that darn parking lot! All in all I've had a great experience. We have been members since they were building this location! Although, I just recently decided to actually GO! . At first, I was hesitant. Would they accept my card from years ago? Would I be judged? Would I be an outcast?... The list of dread was long, but it shouldn't have been. I was welcomed with open arms! Treated kindly and professionally and with absolutely no judgement! That first day, I met Jenny D. She helped me at the desk and is now my personal trainer. Jenny is fun, loving and definitely approachable. She goes above and beyond by researching various modifications to achieve the best fitness routine possible. Jenny makes working out exciting and new each and every time. I join d to get a 24 hour gym. Now suddenly they close at 1am. I wish I could say that was so they could do two things: 1) CLEAN the showers and sauna and steam room. There are wads of hair and used towels. It's just really bad so I stopped using the steam room and showers completely. 2) EMPTY they lockers. Only 10 women are in the gym and yet 80% of all lockers are not available. I've heard people say they use their phone to get in and get a temp card to use in the locker. They leave there stuff and take that locker from everyone else. 3) RACK the weights. Other posts call this out. Just do it. read more

The gym is large, and up-to-date, but don't let that fool you. For $80 per person, it's a rip. Mansfield is a growing area, and there is some severe over-crowding in this club. I originally joined the club for the two basketball courts. I wanted to use them to get my 12 year old son some good training on their courts. It's impossible. The only way you will get any work in on the basketball court is to arrive by 7am every day. Parents drop their kids off in this place during the summer like it's a day care. There are about 10 kids on each basket thowing balls up. If you do get there early enough to actually get some work in, you can bet a manager is going to come into the gym and ask if you are being paid to train the kid that you are working with, because you can't use their facility to make money. That's fine the first 17 times you came and asked me with me training the same kid, but pull your head out and be a little more aware that you are asking the same two people the same question every day. Oh, and then they have a person that does paid training for basketball. He is super sharp and knows his stuff, BUT of course he gets to kick everyone off of one end of a court to do his training. So now there are 13 kids throwing balls up on each of the other 3 baskets. One other thing, do not join LifeTime for the rock climbing wall. I've seen that thing open maybe twice in two years. I'm not sure exactly what the hours are, but do your homework. If you think it's "neat" they they have it and your kids will love it, you will be sad to find out it's never open. Again, $80/month vs. $45/month at 24 Hour Fitness. Just make sure you visit this place at the hour that you will be using it. If you will be going after work, then visit after work. This is a huge gym very nice facility they have a really cool rock wall inside and indoor soccer field . In the summer you can utilize the outside pool that has a slide. There is a hair salon and little cafe inside that you can get a healthy lunch or snack. Very cool place ,pretty expensive. read more

I can't get here often enough, but I LOVE it when I go. The food in the cafe is delicious. The trainers are helpful and knowledgeable. The equipment is kept in good working condition, and there's plenty of it, and the diversity of classes means that everyone can do something. I love to swim there because the pool is maintained. 24/7 gym now closes at 1am? :( I was taking a shower after my work out and a staff member stood outside of the shower to tell me the gym was closed.. I get out the shower and he proceeds to tell me the gym now closes at 1am and that I had stayed 15 minutes too late. (It was my first day back in like 2 months) I was confused because It's always been a 24hr gym. I asked why they were closed and he just spoke to me like I was dumb and said that they have been closing at 1am for a while now. Im sad about this because I love lifetime but this a huge inconvenience and this specific situation really rubbed me the wrong way. It's unfortunate that I'm going to have to cancel my membership now and look for a gym that will hopefully accommodate my gym/life style needs the way Lifetime fitness in Mansfield used to in the past. The gym is great, besides the fact that they stated that they're open "24/7" but they are NOT. There are times where I come home from work super late and I need to workout after. What kind of "24/7" Gym lock their doors around 12-1 AM. It happened multiple times already. There're times where I wasn't the only one happy with this. A couple people and I had to stand there and wait till one of the member leaving the gym in order to able to go inside. Been here since it opened. Joined for 24 hour access. They now close from 1-4 each morning, which are the hours I have to workout. The General Manager is useless. The place is filthy if you get there a little before 1. No towels, trash everywhere, piles of dumbbells, benches moved across the gym, etc. They keep going up on the dues and giving us less and less for it. If you want an overpriced health club that doesn't care about its members and enjoy bad customer service, constantly broken equipment, non-24 hour access, this is the place for you! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO TO ANOTHER GYM!!! I called to cancel my membership within the 7 days due to health(cancer survivor)and the man I talked said it was cancelled I followed up the next day by coming into the gym to make certain it was which it was total lie leaving me loosing my prorated amount and the next month due to their 30 day notice. I talked to Trevor the sales manager and he insured me that I wouldn't get charged the next month that I would just loose my prorated amount. The month comes I get charged and call trevor and he won't return phone calls so I make a visit after talking he shakes my hand tells me, we will refund it. Been waiting for a refund for over 4 weeks now. I called many of times no return phone calls. I make another visit asking him when will I receive a refund. He is in a meeting and the office manager said I will not receive one, due to you didn't cancel within the first 7 days. Lifetime fitness is very unprofessional and thief in my opinion. They have some very friendly staff members mixed with some completely incompetent ones . The main thing keeping me from giving a higher review is their cleanliness standards . The "trainer" doesn't care to really help you they just want to sell you their cardio test, supplements or personal training sessions. Don't do it. I get more help from the other members. And their is no nutritionist. The trainers are trained to help you with your nutrition. -____- felt mislead, but the classes are awesome. The other members and staff are nice. The food is excellent! For the outrageous price of 75 $ a month, this gym is the dirtiest I have ever seen! Lockers and doors to changing rooms have not been repaired in 2 months, treadmills, ellipticals etc have not been cleaned in 4 months - that's how long i have been seeing the same black gum marks on the foot rests there! Lots of dust and sweat drops on the treadmills! On open house, there's no way u can find parking anywhere close. I have been a member now for about six months. And I will say that this is by far one of the nicer gyms I've been to. Enough equipment means not waiting for your machine to be available. I'm not big on public pools but they have several indoor & outdoor. The spa is a nice added touch. It's easy for new members to get a little discouraged because it can be overwhelming. I personally enjoy the one on one Pilates sessions as well as the hot sauna. The membership is a little pricy for one person but for a family it could be more affordable. This place is so extensive you could almost live here. It has pretty much everything you need except tanning beds. read more

I don't know how that 24 hour fitness is even staying in business it was so filthy and disgusting never clean and half the equipment half the treadmills were pieces of garbage that didn't work. It offers everything needed for a complete workout and relaxation and since becoming members we have not regretted out decision once. Ive been at this lifetime location for a little over year now and have noticed a serious decline in the past few months. It all started a few months ago when I noticed a rapid increase in new members, Im not sure if they ran some serious special but out of nowhere there was a huge influx of members. This is when I started to notice more broken equipment, from seats on sitting equipment, to leg presses, missing pins to adjust weight and so forth. There is stuff everywhere, I mean everywhere. Previously people who went to this gym kept it relatively clean, now with these new members there are towels and weights and empty water bottles everywhere, not to mention staff hardly empties towel bins I see them constantly overflowing. They move steps, benches, dumbbells, and mats and leave them laying around the gym. Its impossible to get a workout in if you can even navigate the landmine of stuff everywhere, because its severely crowded, lots of people just standing around in groups too. The crowd with the constantly broken gym equipment makes it impossible to get through a decent lift. I constantly see people in flip flops as well and young children upstairs with the weight equipment, which to my knowledge is not allowed. The final straw with this strange new crowd was when a friend of mine and myself were harassed by a man at the gym the other day, he came up behind us looked her up and down and licked his lips. I won't tolerate myself or others being harassed at the gym while trying to get a workout in, I told him his actions made us uncomfortable and to please leave us alone. He retaliated with threatening us saying his friends would come handle us and drag us out of the gym. This gym has become ghetto, plain and simple. I will be finding a new gym, 90$ a month is a rip off, for and over crowded, messy, unsafe gym. Definitely not paying to be harassed and threatened by creepy new members. read more

I have been lifetime member since 2009 but the communication and customer service focus is terrible. I notified my personal trainer end of june to cancel my one on one sessions due to some circumstances but shockingly enough lifetime still charged me for August session. Lifetime has also been charging my $200 per month for team burn instead of $140/month since july. I have been there 4 times to have it taking care off , even spoken to the person in charge of accounting to fix this issue twice and still has not been fixed. I called again last friday I was told someone would be getting in touch with me and its tuesday and no call. There is no accountability in this place and basic communication is non existent. Lifetime never used to be this bad. I am still waiting for my personal training refund for August and my team burn over charges. read more

I really liked the Lifetime Fitness at Mansfield when it first opened. I could even put up with the harassment of the personal trainers selling me into breathing tests, physical fitness tests, and maybe a training session or two. Once they sign you up for something they really make it sound like they are genuinely into helping you. That ended quickly. Disappointing to say the least. After awhile you get over it until a whole new group of trainers comes in and they all start with the same sales pitch. I can only say "no thanks" so many times. I did not even use all of my Lifetime Bucks because I knew it was only setting myself up for a sales pitch. Shame. It could have been so much better. I was a Diamond member. I finally ended it, and I never felt better. I was especially disappointed that whenever I wanted to use the pool it was closed. I bet in the 2 years I was a member they remodeled the pool 4 times. It was crazy. For 8+ months the door to the dressing room was missing. It was still gone when I left. Lots of people had their cars broken into, that is why I liked the Diamond membership so I could park up front. This was not enforced and I always struggled to find a spot. I complained to the front desk, and they would apologize, and do nothing about it. The food cafe was good. The hairstyling place was just "eh". I cant believe they never instituted a blow dry special for women after their workouts and showers. I would have kept at least one or two hairstylists on to do a walk in blow dry. Nope it was always by appt. Now I am working out on my own and happier than ever! read more
