Life SURELY is sweet! I am new to the area and I always pass by this cute spot on a dog walk. This particular day, I so happened to make a stop to check them out. I am glad I did! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by 2 friendly faces. These women were kind to both me and my dog! I asked a few questions about the treats and overall menu. One of the ladies walked me through the items. I end up getting a carrot cupcake and a raspberry tres leche slice of cake! Look forward to seeing what else " Life" has to offer!

We absolutely loved this bakery! All the goodies tasted great, were perfectly sweet and soft. My personal favorites were the cake pops, birthday cake cupcake, and iced latte. The cake pops were adorable, as you can see in the picture, and very tasty. They had a nice hard crunchy chocolate coating with a soft and sweet inside. The birthday cake cupcake had a wonderful sweet filling in the center and so did the raspberry chocolate cupcake. The iced latte was so refreshing and perfectly made. Everything else was also great, the cakes were moist and soft.

Melissa and staff are so wonderful. I have been here 5+ times and never once did I leave with something that wasn't delicious. From their lattes/coffees to their cakes you truly can't go wrong. Also, their breakfast items are amazing. My fiancé found Life's Sweet from Yelp .He was looking for a birthday cake for my 30th birthday. I had ideas of a Sailor Moon cake and Melissa executed on every level and she even shared the same excitement over the Sailor Moon idea. My cake came out perfect. I truly couldn't have asked for better. Melissa is so professional and so down to earth I feel welcome everytime I walk into her establishment. It's the little things I do appreciate too.. from her decor to the little Minnie and Mickey Mouse cookies she threw in for Halloween (because I love Disney .. who doesn't?) Every touch of finesse has not gone unnoticed. My fiancé is convinced the best skillet he has ever had is from here. Everything is good here but the banana pudding is the winner for me. This review is long overdue but well deserved and I will be a repeat customer forever. What I tried so far: lattes-amazing Red velvet cupcake/birthday cake cupcake-yummy Breakfast skillet-omg so good Chicken pesto panini- sooo good Banana pudding-if there's one thing you need to get it's this Cranberry/apple pie-yummy

    Frog Cake

This frog cake was the best cake I've ever had! I sent Melissa the photo of what I wanted and she made just how I wanted it. She's very responsive and really nice. I would highly recommend you try this place out if you're looking for great dessert!

I love their new location!!!! Omg! I found heaven. Bonus point, those Mickey Mouse donuts. Everything is super fresh. I love they have a space for the kids to play while mama drinks coffee. Bathroom has a diaper table! Bye bye Keto diet! Hahaha!!! Can't wait to visit again.

I ordered a birthday cake for my wife and asked for it to be decorated with iron man. Melissa did a great job communicating and accommodating me. Not only did the cake look amazing but it tasted great. I asked for chocolate with raspberry and chocolate filling. It was amazing, soft and moist. I would recommend anyone to get cake from here, you won't regret it!

    Paw Patrol cake

I was searching for a Paw Patrol cake for my son that tasted delicious and looked adorable. WOW, Melissa delivered for us! We had chocolate cake that was super moist and the mousse and buttercream were a perfect pairing. It was a hit for the birthday boy and family! We can't wait to go back and try items from the cafe.

Absolutely Amazing. This was my 1st time here, and my first time ordering a cake with fondant. I didnt know how the process worked. Melissa the owner, made it super easy. I emailed her my ideas yall and she made it EXACT! The cake itself was bomb. The fondant was soft, creamy, perfectly sweet. I went with red velvet cake, and vanilla cream filling. The cake was MOIST. Im very picky, and particular. They definitely set the bar high. Check out some pics.

This is a special place. We went for breakfast and it was so good! The egg was cooked to the perfection! The coffee was also very good. This is a family business that definitely needs support from the neighborhood. Love this place!

If I could give this "business" zero stars, I would…read more First, Sweet Jackie's is no longer in Rogers Park. They have moved to the South Side, near Midway Airport. That seems like important information to share with people, wouldn't you say? Especially if you expect them to pick up the product... My fiancee wanted a custom-made cake for her bridal shower. Sweet Jackie's had an impressive portfolio, the prices were reasonable, and the place was in our neighborhood, so she placed an order, 18 days before the event. Jackie was pretty good about communicating while discussing the order process. But after the order... silence. Phone calls go unanswered. What's going on with this order? Is it happening? Should we talk to someone else? Just quiet... About a week before, Fiancee finally gets Jackie on the phone. Jackie says she has the order, and it's on her schedule. She'll call a couple of days before the event, to confirm the order. Sounds great! Fiancee relaxes a bit. Two days before the event. Silence. No calls, no emails. One day before the event. Silence continues. Fiancee calls Jackie. Leaves a voicemail. Calls again a couple of hours later. Again a little later. And again. Nothing. Zero. WHAT'S THE STORY WITH THE CAKE?! 5 PM, day before the bridal shower. I say to Fiancee, "Forget it -- let's just get a cake at the bakery." We send Jackie a "last chance" email, and head off to the bakery. There, we check email from our phone, and -- wow! -- Jackie lives and she says our cake is in production... and we can pick up on the far South Side. (Me: "Where?! She's supposed to be in Rogers Park!") Fiancee calls her -- you guessed it, no answer. We figure, time to get a Plan B, and get two cakes at the bakery. (We'd find a use for them, one way or another.) At home, we look at the order forms: did we miss the new address? Err, no -- there is no address or phone number listed. (Why? Why on earth not?!) With all the web references (including this one) saying the place is in Rogers Park, we had no reason to think otherwise. Oops. We write another email (phone calls being useless), saying that the location is a surprise, and could we maybe meet her downtown. No answer. No phone call. No email. Nothing. At 6:14 AM on the day of the shower (!!!) we get an email. Jackie says she is sorry for the "misunderstanding" and that we were "not made aware" that their "main center" has been moved to the South Side. (Let's unpack this load of b.s.: we were "not made aware" and the "misunderstanding" occurred because she didn't bother to tell us. And the "main center" is a kitchen in her house. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but talk about avoiding responsibility for her own incompetence!) It went on to say that the order was cancelled because of "a possibility of a no-call/no-show." I was speechless: a "possibility"! Good thing we got those bakery cakes! Here's an irony -- our maid of honor lives 15 minutes from there. We could have easily sent her to pick up the cake. All Jackie had to do was CALL US THAT NIGHT; we would have figured it out and laughed it off. Instead, she just sent an email saying our order was cancelled. On the day of the bridal shower, without even the courtesy of a phone call. In short: you can't rely on this outfit to be either courteous or even remotely professional. Even if they charged nothing, it'd still be a ripoff. Just stay away.

They all looked beautiful ... but the taste was even better. The cannoli's were still perfectly crisp all the way through when eating some five hours after purchasing! One was a traditional cannoli with the traditional cream filling and chocolate chips all great quality. The second - was some type of coconut, walnuts and caramel which was out of this world! The napoleon was so light and crunchy, very delicious. And the eclair...pure heaven. The owner of the bakery was there when we went and was very sweet himself. He gave great descriptions of the baked delights and even gave us a free cookie while we waited to have our goodies boxed up. I cannot wait to visit this bakery again very soon! The very best pastries I have had in the Chicago area ever! I only wished we lived closer.

This was very rich and I loved the layer of apricot jam. The shop is cute......but I had to laugh a bit, as I wanted a cup of coffee to go with my rich cake. The girl told me "oh we stop serving coffee at 7 PM." I looked at my watch. 7:02 PM. They are punctual! So I enjoyed my cake sans cafe'. Some of the other desserts looked wonderful here too. I wouldn't make a special trip probably, but if I were in the neighborhood, I would absolutely stop by. This is a special treat. Not cheap, but very indulgent and worth every penny.
