The ordeal and painstaking process to clear and keep our driving privileges, is needless to say embarrassing to have a required device. The staff at Lifesaver was nothing but professional. No judgement stares, no snickers between staff, no rude comments or attitude from customer service reps on the phone. it defiantly made this part of my process a little easier to deal with. Johnathan has been the familiar face throughout my required service and has been very great to work with. I've dealt with a lot of companies over the years, but this one takes the cake for being the most disorganized, rude, and unhelpful group of people I've ever encountered. Unfortunately I needed to use their services. The device was originally installed poorly and caused issues with my fairly new vehicle, my car stopped starting in the middle of summer. I had to have my vehicle towed to the dealership which is quite costly and come to find out the problems stemmed from the device. The diagnosis cost me over $200 and after over four months, I have yet to be reimbursed from this company after being promised I would multiple times. I finally got in contact with Tony after he deliberately ignored my situation for 4 months, & never responded to my emails after I sent in the receipts. He yelled at me on the phone, talked to me condescending & unprofessional, told me it's not his problem & then hung up on me. Then lied and said it was our fault. Ummm... we drove the truck here, and the electrical was working. Even worse, they destroyed the stereo and we were forced to buy another disc to get everything up and running again. The guys at Toyota Elk Grove stated the tech cut the wires and it was obvious upon inspection. Regardless, LifeSafer had their tech come out and do the repair. But because they drained the battery and messed up the radio, we had to pay out of pocket. When we went back 2 months later (because we were forced to stay due to their contract) we were locked out of the truck. We tried to leave at 12pm for our 1pm appt. The truck was locked. After 3 hours of waiting for Jasmine to call us with a code to unlock the truck, and approx 50+ phone calls later, we paid for a tow. We arrived at the shop and the gal there didn't know how to repair the camera. We asked her how she could repair it and she said she didn't know. So we were forced to keep our truck in their shop for 2 days. Monday we got a phone call from Amie telling us that the truck was in the parking lot, the device was removed, and they were cancelling service because my fiance yelled at her. I witnessed the entire conversation and all he asked her was, "how am I supposed to get to work?" He never raised his voice. So because their employee cant handle a concerned customer, we're now being charged $330 for early cancellation and removal of the device. You seriously cannot make this stuff up! It has been a challenge during an already emotional, scary, stressful time. Yes, we've made mistakes that forced us to seek an interlock system... but we didn't expect to be taken for our money, our time, our peace of mind, our safety, and damage to a very expensive Tundra. The People on the phone were nice they are sells men but what they don't tell you is all the blind charges they add to your account I asked if I removed the device myself if it would be ok they said yes. Here is how my experience went. 6/5/19- Got device installed. 6/11/19- Car flashes abort code over and over will not start I have to miss work due to this. 6/12/10- Tried to get a hold of customer service after hours I finally talked to a human being (she said it was my car battery at fault) 6/13/19- Had to pay $120 for tow truck to service center which I was told I would get reimburse if my battery was not the issue. 6/16/19- Service center said it was my battery paid $200 for this 6/20/19- Car flashes abort code again will not start I live in Texas it was over 100 degrees that day and I had my 3 year old son (had to ditch my car at Walmart and pay for a uber home) 6/22/19- got my car to work it is so unreliable I could not take it drove it to service center for service When I got there service charged me $88 on my card for "daily monitoring fee" most days it wouldn't even work! I am switching over to a PAM device due to the absolutely terrible time I had with LifeSafer. I suggest you do the same right away oh and they are gonna charge me $250 for wanting to cancel early WOW maybe if the device worked and I could use my car I wouldn't cancel? I am a single father and this caused me to miss much needed work shame on you and you're company. I will never get a DWI again thats forsure! I had a device installed when I was in a collision on Wednesday. My maintenance appointment was on Friday. I'm now being charged a "missed appointment fee" for GETTING IN AN ACCIDENT IN WHICH MY CAR WAS TOTALED AND MISSED MY APPOINTMENT. I even called the day of the accident to let them know I wouldn't be coming... almost 48 hours ahead of time. Also, Supervisor Anthony, aka Tony, can't take a joke. He says "if you want to play games..." as I was JOKING and trying to fully understand all of my fees and charges. After that, he was the single rudest person I've ever come into contact with in customer service. Based on this alone, I would not recommend anyone searching for a IID installation and servicer to use LifeSafer. Where do I even start.... first let me start out by saying due the choices I made, I had to get in bed with terrible company. I don't fee that a company should be able to take advantage of other peoples misfortune by offer below standard service to individuals that already have enough on their plate. I'm actually writing this review while being on hold for the second time for 45 minutes, due to the first call just being disconnected. When I originally had their equipment installed I was told it could take up to 4 hours and it actually took the installer 2 days. Hey things happen so I continued forward with their services... not to mention this is court ordered so you're at their mercy. A few months into this contract their equipment would give my the pass indicator after blowing but my still wouldn't start. I was told by the customer service it was a malfunction with my car not their equipment. I had both my battery and alternator check, per their instructions, and both check out fine. I was told to take it to one of their service station for diagnosis and was told it was fine. For the next few month between it taking their service station hours to calibrate the equipment and their equipment leaving me stranded on multiple occasions, they finally started to refund me my monthly fee each time it wouldn't work. This has been going on since 2017. Fast forward to this past weekend (Sunday).Due to a family emergency I had to reschedule my appointment from Saturday to Tuesday. Due to me being on shift at the fire department Monday. I was told I had until Tuesday at midnight before it locked out. I wake up Monday morning to go to work and the car is locked out..... I have been trying all morning to get someone on the phone to help and I just get transferred from sales and placed on hold... please do yourself a favor and DO NOT do business with this company!! read more

Made an appointment to have IID installed. When I got to the service center, I'm told my appointment was rescheduled, 2 weeks out & at another service center about 20 miles from me. They say they called me, but I didn't get any calls or msgs from them. So now I'm inconvenienced because I took off work early to go and get the install, and now have to do the same again. I got some BS about the rep who made the appointment didn't work at the call center where I was calling. Which is no excuse because all reps should be trained accordingly. 6/15 I had my final appointment with my DUI classes and they said they would let the DMV know within 3 days. The DMV was notified that I had satisfied my obligation on 6/17. 6/15 I showed up for my last service appointment with my interlock device subcontractor. I was told that everything was done electronically and that my next appointment would be device removal. 7/20 Waited a month, came back in late July to have the device removed. I drove 8 hours round trip. They had not processed the paperwork (despite being told they would) and I was turned away. 8/01 I still have the device on my car (despite the court and DMV not requiring it). I have paid for 2 extra months, waited 2 extra months, wasted hundreds of dollars, and spent HOURS trying to call them or email with them. They put you on hold for 30min, then send you to voicemail. They have called me back during work hours or even when I'm asleep (nearly 10pm). 8/23: For the second week in a row I have been told that I have an appointment on Saturday to remove the device. Both times I contacted LifeSaver (they didn't contact me) on Friday night only to discover that I did not have an appointment and that it was going to be put off again. I previously had a review on TrustPilot but they flagged it claiming I wasn't a customer (then why do I still have your device on my car?). This is complete insanity. They did not transfer my Vin number from my old car to my new car to the state of Minnesota and that held me up for three weeks. Who is going to pay for that for me? I've been a customer of theirs for almost 3 years and they really screwed this one up when I bought a new car! Complete lack of customer service or professionalism. I and another appointment on time to the first appointment of the day. We walked into the open shop door to check in, only to be greeted by a rude, arrogant service technician who tersely threw us out of his shop until ready for us. I explained that the door was open, typically inviting clients into one's business at their scheduled time. His rant continued and we (appointments) vacated. Approximately 10 minutes later, the technician pulled the other guy in. I called the Lifesafer Customer Service Hotline to complain and ask for my appointment to be changed to a product removal. They assured me that the matter would be resolved and to continue with the calibration. I called Lifesaver back 2 days after my complaint. I got the local manager. He stated that it was my and the other appointments' fault for arriving late and being rude. As a 10 year, 30+ employee business owner in Sacramento, I am far beyond rudeness to a service clerk as being acceptable behavior. I again stated my dissatisfaction with their customer service and that I would be taking my business elsewhere.
