Had such a great experience, from beginning to end. The admin were friendly and knowledgeable returning my calls same day, estimator was prompt and precise. The crew on our job was one of the best I have worked with. On the day of install they noticed my very large fig tree was in the way and they could not install how it was originally planned, he measured looked at every option called the owner and was able to come up with a new design for my wood retaining wall and vinyl privacy fence. And it turned out beautiful even better than I ex, I am so grateful to the crew for their hard work and care they took to leave everything perfect. They cleared everything with me to make sure it would be to my standards. I couldn't be happier! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting five star service and results! read more

Overall, the fence installation is okay. The posts are solid. The wood quality is not great -- numerous splinters and shaggy sides, which will make painting difficult. But the worst part of the installation is that the installers disconnected our drainage. We have a deco drain next to a retaining wall, which ends near the fence line (about 8 inches away). It is connected to an underground french drain to our front yard. The connection between the two, which is above ground and visible, was removed by the installation crew. I know they specify they are not responsible for drainage systems, but in this case, they deliberately removed the connection. Our backyard flooded during the heavy rain earlier this year. I called to ask them to correct this and they refused. Not good customer service. It is going to cost quite a bit to get this done. I don't think this company stands behind its work. read more

We purchased a vinyl white picket fence, originally from Borg-now Lanscaping, in 2016. It is still a gorgeous front yard fence, very durable, strong, the crew's craftsmanship was above and beyond what we expected. The price was very reasonable and competitive with all others so when it comes to value for quality you can't do better than Lifescaping. Today they came out for a simple repair-something I could not do alone-and while it was no longer under warranty, the company treated me like a VIP and gave me a very fair quote. They were done within an hour (and were prompt, too) so I had time to finish my errands. This is a Great company, and I recommend them highly. read more

They didn't bother to call after breaking a water line and cutting the main power supply to my house. I found out once I returned home after work to no running water. William told me they broke the pipe but told me he wasn't a plumber and wasn't going to send one out. When I asked to speak to his boss, he said he'd have him call but no call ever came. This company is unreliable and I would never recommend them. Oh, this after they up-charged me $500 for the ground being harder than expected ("it's in the contract," said William). Lifescaping contractors are a terrible fence company. Do not use their services. I made the mistake and had them install a backyard fence, the completed fence was not straight or level from end to end, a big disappointment. This could have been avoided by using a simple string line or Laser. Reading reviews from numerous Other customers, I found, that Lifescaping has had many bad complaints about them reported to the BBB and the contactor licenceing board, I will also be doing this. We used this company for a fence job a few years ago. They were difficult to work with but got the job done, and of course the finished product is beautiful. So when our side fence blew down in February, we decided to give them another shot. The bid was, not surprisingly, outrageous. But we needed the work done. No less than three times did they call us at the very last minute to reschedule because of suppliers and/or crew unavailability. Ultimately, Raul agreed (reluctantly) to a small discount. When the crew showed up, part of the job was impossible (bad bidding - the fence on that side is a goner, and nothing can fix it, so we scrapped that part), but they still could not finish in one day. Raul called to tell me that unless I gave up my discount, he could not send the crew back the next day. Jerk. I told him he promised me the discount for the headache he caused in rescheduling us three times, so he said we'd have to wait. The crew came back and didn't quite have everything they needed to finish the job. So now we wait for "repairs" (which is really waiting to get it completed). So I call about the incomplete work and I'm promised it will be fixed, and that I can make a partial payment when they send me an invoice. Instead, they charge my card the whole amount (not discounted), because of course, no one knew Raul had agreed to the discount. More calls and emails (multiple) and finally they reverse that charge. Still no date for completion. I will say the fence is beautiful. The guys who came to build it (David and Angel) were great. They busted their butts and built us a beautiful fence. But they didn't have what they needed to finish (and they did do a lot of overspray that needs cleaning). Good product - horrible service. Due to the extreme lack of professionalism, I would give Lifescaping a ZERO. On Thursday, June 15th, the crew came out to install the fence, it was extremely disturbing that if I had not been overseeing the project, they would have installed incorrect post instead of the Steel Lifeposts as requested at the cost of an additional $852.00. Due to this error, I was told by the crew to call the office and that they would stop working, leaving me and my neighbor's property exposed. This error also caused me to readjust my plans for the following day. I called the office and was told that the correct posts were loaded onto the truck, and they would reach out to the Gabriel (employee who quoted the project) for clarification. The next morning when the crew returned with the correct posts to finish the project, I asked the crew if they were going to do the Seal and Protect and again, they said that I would need to call the office because that would be another crew. Once again, I called the office and was told there was no document requesting Seal and Protect. I explained that I had approved this electronically on June 7th and have a copy of the contract as proof. I also stated that I would not make payment until the project was complete. On June 20th, I received an invoice for the fence installation and again I called the office to let them know that the project was not completed, therefore no payment. On June 22nd, I received a call from Chris (Manager) requesting that I pay the invoice because her employee did not submit the addendum and that she had been trying to get said document from him since June 7th. I explained to Chris that her employee problems is not my concern or responsibility and that I had signed and approved the document sent on June 7th. Chris then demanded that I make payment and again stated that her employee did not submit the paperwork correctly and she would need to speak with her supervisor. I also stated to Chris that at no time did she apologize for all the missteps or offer any compensation for my inconvenience....where was the customer service! I received a call from Luciano Zelvaggio (Vice President) demanding that I make payment for an incomplete project. I tried explaining my situation and he continued to be demanding and hostile...then hung up the phone. I have been inconvenienced, harassed, disrespected, and should have been compensated. Below is the email I sent to Luciano. Luciano, get it straight! I did not say I would not pay, I said that I would pay once the project was complete. It is truly unfortunate that you have extremely POOR customer service and that you felt the need to hang up on me...are you that sensitive? Your employee problems (incorrect paperwork submitted) should not have been my problem. I signed and submitted the contract and addendum received in a timely manner, I also had to oversee the installation of the fence posts, which was incorrect, and make several calls to your office staff. Not once did I get an apology...only from Gabriel. However, I can see how you might think your behavior was justified because you do not or do not know HOW to provide or set a good example for your staff. Because you and Chris are such a headache and a waste of my time, I have sent payment via mail to headquarters. I despise BULLIES or want to be BULLIES!!! I can only give them one star due to making the appointment to install 2 new fences and gates and then never showing up or even calling me that they weren't coming. Waited 2 days, still no phone call. Waited through the weekend and still no call. Finally called on Tuesday, left a message after being told someone would call me. Waited 2 more days and finally tried again. Was told by one lady that I'm on her calendar to call on Wednesday. Yep, no call on Wednesday. Called on Friday & was told the scheduler would call me that afternoon. Yep again, no call. I finally dug deep & called again on Tuesday. And again no call when I was told the call was coming. Finally I received a call from them and was TOLD I would be scheduled for Oct. 1st. This is 39 days after the original broken appointment. I canceled them since there are so many other fence contractor's out there that will respect me as a person and respect my time. Quick with an estimate, workmanship was terrible, half xxxxx and not finished. The best part was the crew hit the 220 wire coming from the electrical sub panel on our neighbors side, when the shot nails (not screws) directly into side of the house without placing a 2" x 4" between the fence and house, which caused a power outage for three days plus days. Fried nails were pulled from the fence upon electrical repair. Neighbors were forced to find an electrician on long hot weekend. Lifescape did nothing to make any of the right, until today, they have threatened us with collection. Company is a total joke, we found them in one of Home Improvement magazines, wish we have looked on Yelp earlier. We will be reporting them to the BBB. read more

The promised two day install, turned into over a month (four-day initial install and 30 days of waiting for them to complete our punch list of corrections). There were endless excuses on why they could not finish the install. We finally escalated to senior management who shockingly talked over my wife, yelled at her, told us they were going to walk off the job, and threatened to sue us. We needed a fence built due to aging and strong winds. Got a few quotes and was quite happy with Lifescaping. Workers arrived at 9am on Day 1 and finished at 4 pm with 100% torn down and over 80% done. Arrived the next day at 9 and were 100% done by noon. Great product!! I am so glad we selected Lifescaping to install our backyard fence. It was a great experience from start to finish. Gabriel was our estimator and was extremely helpful with options and breakdowns of the costs for several areas of shared fencing. He was very responsive and had the best price compared with several other vendors. I was told this would be a two day install and there was great follow up with scheduling to confirm our start date/time. When the crew arrived on site, they were extremely professional and courteous. The did not waste any time, and I was impressed by such a hard working crew. Not only did they do a great job, but they stayed late to get everything completed in one day. Lifescaping installed my fence on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. My French drain is gone! There was a French drain cover and the installers must have ground it up or filled it up with dirt. I have contacted the company several times. You have to leave a message even if you press the prompt for their call center. You won't be able to speak with alive person. Cari, from Accounting, returned my call and stated that the company is not liable for any damages. I requested that someone from the company come to my house to look at where the French drain cover was located since I have a picture of it before the fence installation. Contacted through home depot services. Gabriel came out and things seemed to go OK. However his "I'll have you an estimate in two business days" is now 10 days. I called lifescaping 3 times asking where is the bid and I am told the same B.S., the estimator will be contacting you. After the 3rd time of getting nowhere I gave the company fair warning that I would be using social media to voice my complaints and that didn't seem to even concern them. And of course now reading all the horrific reviews I consider myself lucky. Interesting when you get the referral through home depot you can't actually speak to anyone at home depot to complain..they route the number back to lifescaping. The fencing company we normally use was booked through July, so we thought we would give Lifescaping a try. Never again. The quality of work was terrible - broken boards were installed (and installed crooked), nails sticking out everywhere, and then they broke our hose while trying to use it on their equipment, took it apart, and threw it in pieces in our yard. We took photos of everything (as did our neighbor) and reached out to Lifescaping to have them remedy the issues. It has been three weeks, with no response. They did however, happily charge us for the full amount. read more

I had my side gate installed almost two weeks ago. Initially there was an issue with a few slats being shorter than the rest as well as a concrete gutter I had running along the side of the house through the front was blocked by poured concrete for the new post. I was pretty upset seeing how the original installers blocked it without thinking about it. I let the office know the next day about the concerns and they had their quality control office reach out to me. Within a week my fence was the same level and the gutter was dug out , re-concreted and water will now be allowed to run through as before. Although there were issues with the original work, I was very impressed with the speed and quality of work done to correct those issues. Do not use this company! I had a horrible experience that still is not resolved after a year and a half. Their follow through and communication is awful. They have constant turn over in staff, so you never know who you working with. Each time I don't hear from them for months, I think maybe they got their crap together, but then they come back again. They no called, no showed twice for my schedule appt, and I took time off work for these appts. They completed one good neighbor fence and not the other, but billed me for both. I had to have them come back two times to correct their poor work. To this day the fence is not level and looks awful. They have threaten twice to put a lien on my home because they cannot find my neighbor's payment and they lost his contract. The neighbor has provided them proof of his payment (a cashed check), but the company is still threatening to put a lien on my home until they can find the deposited money on their end. Clearly, they are also horrible at bookkeeping I have proof of my payment, which they have acknowledged receipt of. I should not even be involved in anything to do with the company not being able to locate my neighbor's payment, but since they cannot locate his contract, they are telling me I'm responsible for the full payment. The guy trying to collect payment has been extremely rude and unprofessional to both me and my neighbor. I would never recommend anybody use this company. read more

Michael Isaak, my estimator, appears to be a really nice man with a lot of experience. I'm sure he is really good at his job. Unfortunately, he was not good at mine! I showed him a picture of the fence I wanted built at the time of the estimate. I sent him an email with a picture of the fence prior to construction. I sent him an email during construction - because, during construction, he would not answer his phone. Michael should've told me that they were not going to be able to build the fence that I wanted. Or told me that it would cost more. I would have gladly paid. But he did not. Lifescaping built the fence they wanted to build. They built the fence that was easy to build. They built the fence they have built hundreds of times before. They did not, however, build the fence that I WANTED!!! My project may not have been worth a lot of money to them, but it was worth a lot of money to me! The fact that I have not received a response from Michael or anyone really pisses me off. Do not use this company. Their work is unacceptable and their Customer Service is non-existent. Worse experience ever with a contractor. We used Lifescaping because of their great reviews on Yelp to replace our community fence after it blew over in a windstorm. They were very quick to come out and provide a quote and provide us with an install date. However, after the Lifescaping contractors installed our fence, we immediately had to file a claim showing the unacceptable work that is visible on our neighbor's side. They didn't use proper hardware, the wood is splintered in several areas, parts of the fence boards were broken which they'd tried to cover up with pieces of plywood that fell off a few hours later, they notched the wood out of the posts instead of installing them properly, and the top caps aren't centered with the beams. I'm now left with a terrible fence that isn't sturdy. I've only managed to get their Customer Service representative on the phone once who noted that the contractor who installed our fence has been fired and that she was still trying to get us a repair date. We are two weeks now after the install and I have no date, no returned calls, and no returned emails. read more

She warned me that it's difficult to get them to respond which was her experience. We decided to try them again, but same thing - they don't respond. The contractor built the fence on top of the existing concrete wall but failed to notify customer that there would be large holes under the concrete wall since they had to remove part of the concrete in order to install the fence. They refuse to fix the holes and their response was "You signed the contract and we built the fence. We are not concrete contractor". They also refused to provide some remedy for the incomplete fencing leaving holes under the fence. What is the point of installing the fence? They are arrogant when speaking to and when asked to speak to the owner of the company she refused. They also wanted to charge us for work on the contract that they did not even complete. We spent a lot of time planning the fence and our supervisor was pretty responsive and that's the main reason why agreed to go with Lifescaping. But looks like there is not much coordination between the people who come to install the fence and on that day the supervisor was no where to be seen. Can you imagine that these guys drilled the planks to the stucco on both sides damaging it and also not caring is there are electricals or any thing inside the walls. Not only that the stucco got damaged, in the contract it was clearly stated that they will install using poles. Further they were in such a hurry to finish the job that they finished it in 1 day inspite of it being clearly stated as a 2 day job. MY neighbors door had to be installed 3 times and mine is just crooked. Will not recommend anyone to go with them as the fences are not done evrerday. Further more the clean up was bad read more

A week after they left my uncompleted fence, I called Landscaping multiple time to reschedule a date for them to complete my fence. I was told that a Supervisor will call me but NEVER GOT THAT CALL FROM THE SUPERVISOR. Two months later, they called me to collect the FULL PAYMENT on the incomplete job that we ended up paying the work that completed & left me with an unfinished fence. Had an on-site visit from Lifescaping for a quote on 4/10/2023. The rep was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything went smoothly, until that evening when I received a PDF "quote" that's essentially blank. It's a standard Home Depot Fencing Quote/Specification form. But all fields other than my name and address are empty. I replied to ask for the correct PDF to be sent. But never received any response. read more

My experience with Lifescaping has been "Awful". Prior to the work being done, which we waited for over a month has turned out to be far from acceptable. Someone from the company tagged our gate with white spray paint because they had an out of date contract "not signed by me". The gate is not being replaced or fixed in any way. I am left with dealing with the worker who, "I can only do what is on contract", several phone calls to the office the only resolution was to replace the boards that had been marked. Sounds good but now I have missed matched weathered fence boards that face the street. In addition to the workers showing up late morning and not wearing a mask at all when I had questions. Hired Lifescaping to replace our fence through Home Depot and the job was paid in full prior to installation. Their workers broke 4 sprinkler pipes during installation which we ended up paying for the repair & 7 WEEKS later we're still dealing with the NIGHTMARE of trying to get them to complete the job with 10 feet of fence left unfinished & install missing 9 post caps & 2 solar lights for the gates that we already paid for (as shown in the pictures). VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - they never return calls that they said they would & we've been calling them every week. We reached out to Home Depot & the manager spoke to one of Lifescaping's representative & he was told that they'll finish the job between Oct.26 - Nov.6 but nothing happened. We chose this company because of all their 5 star reviews but we failed to pay more attention to their 1 star reviews which depicted more of how this company operates based on our experience. It has been very frustrating, tiring & emotionally draining trying to deal with this company. NO CUSTOMER DESERVES TO GO THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE & STRESS. We had 51 feet of fence blow down in early 2023. My neighbor and I settled on Lifescaping after receiving quotes from several contractors. Lifescaping's quote was not the lowest, but it was very competitive. Their professionalism, promptness, quality of materials and work, and the knowledge and involvement from their leadership was worth the nominal difference in price. My new fence was installed in one day on April 1st, 2019 in Paradise, CA! Our home survived the fire, but our fence did not. Ray, came to our home and patiently explained the different materials and options and in the end I feel we picked a design that really matches the beauty of the home and beats the original by a mile in quality and aesthetic. Adrian, the CEO contacted me after he heard about our home survived the fire and came up with the plan: To show Paradise/Butte county that they support us and to help lift our spirits Lifescaping would send up 6 crews from Sacramento and demo/remove the burned fencing and replace our 3/4 acre fence IN ONE DAY! After living like refugees for three months we've been able to live back at home for a month and-a-half now. I'm not going to lie, it's been pretty depressing wake up and look out my window every morning. My wife actually cried when she walked out in the porch for the first time and saw the new fence - it looks beautiful! Wait a minute, you want to schedule it on April 1st? No April fool's joke here folks. They showed up and they built us a gorgeous fence in one day! Piece-by-piece we are putting the pieces back together. Are least our home is almost back to it's previous state, some landscaping and it will be done. I really wanted to avoid putting this review up but I can't get any help from Lifescaping. In March-April 2021, I had my fence replaced around my entire house by Lifescaping because a portion had fallen due to a storm in the area. It was difficult to get this completed with several delays due to their issues (poor workmanship, staffing shortages, scheduling delays, material shortages and several unreturned calls). The leverage I had at the time was I refused to pay my balance until the job was completed. Fast forward to Jan 2023, less than 2 years later a wind blows my gate and some of the boards become unhinged and the locking mechanism is not supported so I can't properly close the gate. Poor workmanship! My husband and I called the company and they sent over Lee to assess the damage. Since that assessment we have called 7 times over the course of 6 weeks to date and each time with a promise of a return call. They have not repaired our fence or returned any calls to date. Poor Customer Service! I've noticed that Brandon was responding to this site. If he is still responding can you please help me get this gate fixed. I'm frustrated! read more
