You should be prepared for parents to step onto the training floor just to protect their own children. The club manager is completely unprofessional. When this happened for the second time, I tried to speak with him to resolve the issue. Instead of addressing the problem, he chose to mock my accent. I am sharing this experience as a warning to other parents. If you decide to enroll your child at this club, never leave them unattended. Matsuoka Sensei does not only have one of the best Aikido techniques I've felt, but he is also very humble. He has the true Aikido spirit! The tests here are real and people don't simply fall for you as it often happens in other studios. He taught us proper fighting stance, how to break out of different chokeholds, and how to prevent a fight before it starts. Anyhow, i have been practicing defending with knives at home, spend quite a bit of time shooting at the range, etc... but having the tools and skills stated above would be more beneficial with some Krav Maga training... being attacked on the street is a completely different experience when you're dealing with an attacker in real life than in a controlled environment. My son seemed to enjoy it but did not partake like the others since he was tired. There was no wiggle room on time since we were in the trial phase. Price is $200 a month with a 6 month commitment with initiation fee, $230 if you want to go month to month. Since it seemed like our kiddo wasn't quite into it yet and maybe too young, we didn't sign up. I will say though, the establishment is clean. The instructors are attentive and it really requires discipline for the kids. We would consider trying again at a later time but the price tag just seems too high.

The hours and the selection of martial arts classes are excellent. Every last coach knows their stuff, and they teach both kids and adults classes with professionalism and care. I am also always grateful that the black belts, pro fighters, and other experienced trainees are so helpful during class. Not only do you have knowledgable coaches, but your peers support you here too. I have seen multiple martial arts gyms over the years, especially in Orange County, and while all have nice things to say about them, Rounders just hits every single mark. It's a nice and spacious facility with a great setup, but the people are what make it stand out. My only complaint is that I wish I had started here sooner.
