I followed Sonny from LA to Las Vegas to get my hair styled after he helped recolor it for a festival. I haven't let anyone else touch my hair for more than 5 years because he's incredible and has cared for the health of my hair while achieving all my vibrant, colorful hair goals. When I saw the salon was inside a gym, I had no idea what a crazy amazing gym this was! Everything looks clean, modern, well lit. There's so much to do here from a healthy cafe to getting your nails done, of course on top of exercising. The salon area was stunning & the lighting was amazing, great ambiance! The service from setting an appointment, checking in to coming out was smooth and everyone was very nice. I'm incredibly happy with the results for my request of doing a festival hair look with braids and space buns while having sewn in extensions! Emily has figured out my perfect copper base and makes great creative choices for my color style. She's also phenomenal at blowouts! I was lookin' like a scarecrow. Sad faded highlights... crunchy dry lifeless hair... and roots showing like I'd been in prison for months. I feel a song comin' on or like I should have BB King playing background while I sing this sad Rhythm and Blues hair jam. I needed a serious refined "Swan" makeover by a salon that uses upscale products, had an excellent track record and offered a hair dresser that would show compassion, had a good ear and most important...deliver without excuses. I found all of that and more at the LifeSpa Salon by Michael Boychuck. Once I perused my Pinterest Board and found a hair color I liked I showed it to my hairdresser and honestly I really didn't expect much since I have been so disappointed with other Vegas salons, but people I can't stop touching my hair-it actually feels like hair again! It went from an ugly swamp colored yellow strand of straw to a gorgeous sweet soft milk chocolate hue. And, a haircut that straightened out my feeble attempt to "trim" my ends which ended up looking like I blind folded myself before cutting! My hair looks amazing! Finally, for once, someone got it right. I walked out feeling like a movie star. Speaking of movies stars...The cool factor was that this salon was previously located inside the Palms Hotel and if you're a celeb whore you'll appreciate the Wall of Fame located by the wash station that's adorned by autograph pics of the countless beauty queens, celebrities, rock stars and movie stars who have all trusted their locks to this salon. Adrienne Maloof was a frequent client when they were located at the Palms...and my hairdresser did her hair too. Conveniently located inside the Lifetime Fitness Center. Located inside lifetime fitness gym in Summerlin which I've reviewed before and think it's just fantastic. . On to the Salon: Ok it's very clean. Friendly. But pretty dead in the salon and manicure areas which always makes me wonder.... But here's the kicker. I went last week for a basic pedicure. It was average by a girl named Melissa. The Price: $75. I was shocked at checkout. The pedi was nothing special and I wasn't at a high end strip hotel spa. This place did not even have new magazines to read. With tip $90. Forget about this place. Lifetime: you run a first class gym. Your spa is not worthy of your brand. read more

Amanda Amanda Amanda! From nails to eyelashes this chic is truly talented. She does this amazing gel manicure that is a hard clear gel with tips. It has flexibility which acrylic does not. I love it because even in my line of word my nails don't break and I only have to get them filled every 3 weeks. And don't get me started on her beautiful nail art. I've never received more compliments on my nails before Amanda came along. You don't have to be a member at Lifetime to pay the Salon/Spa a visit, so anyone can go! The first full gel set is $60 then $30 for fills, I know... I couldn't believe it either. The whole staff is great and a shoutout to the manager Courtney, she's great! This is the hair salon attached to the Lifetime gym. They have bumble bumble and that red one that's popular in high end salons. I was recommended to get my hair fixed here and consulted Amy. She listened to my concerns and I think it turned out great. She fixed my non-texurized short bob to a texturized short style that is easy to manage. I already got two compliments from strangers- ladies who take care of themselves- which is come on, the best compliment ever! I was introduced to this salon by a Yelp event and even though it's a real haul from my house, I'm glad that I have been coming to this place. Christopher has transformed my hair into a medium blonde from an auburn in a few steps that were painless each time. What I really like about this salon is that not once have I been pressured to buy a product. I absolutely hate that about a lot of salons that they use 15 products on you and use every trick in the guilt trip book to make you want to buy all of them. I'm not interested. I leave without a hair product I won't use just because the salon has told its stylists to make a monthly product sales quota. Completely regret going here!!! I have mid length hair that needed lightening so I produced a photo of exactly what I wanted. After a consultation with a lady who sounded like she knew what she was talking about I booked!! Big mistake!! After 4.5hrs having it done I was completely disappointed that it was not only nothing like the picture but not very different from when I'd walked in!! Best part is they charged me $300 for this!! This place is extremely convenient if you workout at lifetime! The price is pretty high but with lifetime bucks I got a 30% discount so I figured I would try. My stylist was nice, took me right on time and did a great job. However I was falling asleep in the chair! He barely talked to me and I don't know if that's normal but my usual girl and I chat it up! He didn't ask me about what color I wanted my highlights but assumed based on my current style.. I was considering a different one. But I went with it as not a big deal as still summer and I like my blonde. I was on my phone texting most of the time to keep me awake and when cutting my hair he didn't ask me to sit up so cut straight, I didn't even realize he had started. The sink for my rinse was at a horrible angle and hurting my neck, I was holding my head up straining until he noticed and put a towel down for padding. Otherwise they were efficient and people there were all working together as a team to help each other with what they needed. He was very efficient and told me some pointers regarding my hair and products I currently use vs what he would recommend. However he didn't ask me to buy anything, said finish what I have and think about it first. That's a good thing... Not only did he do a great job in the end but it wasn't all about the money for the salon. So it was a good deal but unless I'm really pressed for time for the extra $80 if I didn't have my discount I would much rather go to my usual place and have fun while there. read more

To begin my now second massage here at the Life Spa in Summerlin I was greeted by the very well dressed and super happy Christopher. He informed me that I was early and asked if I needed a cold beverage or assistance. I walked to the waiting area where my hind parts had not yet touched the seat before Lisa greeted and asked if I was ready. I thought to myself how exactly is this possible. The level of service and efficiency has been unmatched to any other spa I or my wife have visited. Lisa then brought me back to the room per usual and asked where there any areas besides the 2 she worked on previously (several brownie points for remembering). She insisted we continue to keep chest and shoulder muscles loose and started in immediately. While exploring my calf muscles and right arch and heel of my foot she noticed some tightness that was bothering me including shin splints that she could not have know otherwise unless I told her which I didn't. I feel like I am beating a dead horse however it must be said once again - this woman is the absolute TRUTH! Someone give her an honorary PhD in Massage Therapy with a focus in Healing! My only critique is that I did not get to see Mrs. Rainey but Christopher was ever so pleasant! Lisa thank you once again for your attention to detail and your expertise in repairing my body! I was even more thrilled at the outstanding customer service I received on the phone and at the desk, where I received an appointment with little notice. I was looking for a very big change (going from past my shoulders to a short bob) and Kim did a phenomenal job! I personally come here for the Pedicure's. I always ask for LeAnna :) She is so gentle and does a wonderful job on keeping my feet looking good. This is a plus, because I tend to wear Sandals 90% of the time. I've stubbed my toes so many times, I can't even count. Coming here has got my nails to grow normal again!!! However it was very strange that they charge $50 for a cut but then extra 45$ to blow dry it. I never ever in my life was sent home with wet hair. Is it so hard to say that hair cut is $95?
