I have to say it's very hard nowadays to find a auto mechanic that you can actually trust as most of them are not very honest and take you for a ride typically charge outrageous amounts to fix the smallest simplest things. I have now had four major repairs done to my truck and I have to say they are by far the most honest affordable cost effective place to get your vehicle repaired I have went to other locations and gotten the same work quoted and lifestyles has always come in around 50% cheaper than anywhere else not only that but as other auto mechanics told me I needed to replace certain parts they inform me the part just needs to be tightened or lubed up and did not need to be replaced and save me not hundreds of thousands of dollars I would highly recommend them to anybody that needs any repairs done to there vehicle will there be a small repair or a large repair like I said I have never found any auto mechanic as honest as they are I'll be bringing all of my vehicles there including all of my work vehicles as I have found the best mechanic I would say in the world read more

I knew Mike when he was in his teens. He had no official workshop to work but used to go to people,s Homes to work on their cars at a very reasonable price. His first shop was at River road and Oakton in DesPlaines at a gas station with two bays. When the number of customers increased ,he moved to a bigger shop on Cora Ave location , a few blocks away from River road. His mechanics have been with him for years which means he treats them with respect and better wages. I take my car for any maintenance work to his shop. He charges very reasonable price and the parts are covered by a warranty. He does not charge me if I have to revisit him for the same issue. They made me love my car again. I have an 06 Escape, and it started making rattling noises, then the service brakes warning came on, so I headed to Lifestyle. I had actually been thinking about getting a new car, but they fixed the rattle ( I was told it was pretty serious), which was actually part of the steering/suspension, and there was no problem with the brakes. Mike and his crew did a great job, and the car actually drives and rides like new. Now I don't have to worry about getting a new car and another payment. This shop is pretty good, from what I've gathered it's a small family owned shop. We've been making the drive out just to specifically see Mike for any repairs! He's honest, dependable and his prices can't be beat! I've been to several other shops for minor issues and every time I've gone to some other place I'm told I need other repairs, this place doesn't do that! I appreciate the time they take to explain any repairs we've needed and his prices are fairly reasonable as well. I have worked with this shop since it was Shell Oil Shop on Oakton and River rd then became Lifestyle Auto. All I can say is simple: They are honest, affordable, prompt, and one of the few shops out there I know of that do a true diagnostic. The owner is truly gifted in listening to the vehicle and having that seasoned experience of knowing most likely this issue IS that issue. He has never missed, and his mechanics back him up. Excellent service, first you have an extremly admirable receptionist in front, great customer services. Had a lot done to my 2005 audi a4 b5 manual quattro and the ride quality is better than new.
