Perhaps the best purchase I have ever made is my spa from these guys, which is now 7 years old and ticking. I had a few service related issues in the beginning, but they manned up and worked through it with me. The latest success was the purchase of my new cover, which after 7 years, the last one i had got total obliterated from the sun and rain over the years. I was pleasantly contacted by Keeshaun (sp?) from the Sherman oaks facility who took my old cover and replaced it with the new one (which took 4 months). I still highly recommend these guys, but their service department and just customer touch needs a bit of TLC. After 4 months of calling and being told its coming its coming and well notify you, I called in myself just randomly to ask for an ETA to which they replied "It will be here on Wednesday". Additionally, I was told that the $90 delivery, installation and removal no longer is done. I said great, just refund me the cost and ill do it myself, who which i was told i'd get a refund for $20 and a link to an EPA pickup service. Neither happened but Keeshuan took care of me and made everything right. Great company, product and people, just need some kinks worked out. read more

We were very excited at the prospect of getting a hot tub so we went to Lifestyle Outdoor. Though we could find the same model of Jacuzzi we ended up purchasing (and we bought a more high end model) for much cheaper online, the salespeople (who were great), warned us there can be problems with these things and their level of service is so much higher than we'll get elsewhere we really should pay the premium with them. Unfortunately for us, we got a lemon - which is not at all their fault. In the first year, the heater broke, the display went out, and now we have a leak in the waterfall. The service level we were promised has not been met. There have been multiple occasions where we've called and received no response, both my wife and I. Once we finally got a tech out for the most recent problem, it was discovered we needed another part for another failure. We were told the part would arrive in 7 to 10 business days and they would contact us. After two weeks of no update, we called to inquire about progress as the tub has been leaking out totally in about 3 days. We were told the part had arrived already and they had "called and texted" (they had not. Phone records are easy to pull up online). They then informed us that, though this was covered by warranty, the labor was not and we are out $150 to have a second person come and move the hot tub. When we stated our displeasure, keep in mind - no yelling as I know how hard that job can be- we were hung up on. When we called the store back and not the service line, the service rep called back to apologize. The "owner" of the store then called and told us there was nothing he could do. I found out later he was the owners son. He was short and didn't care for our trouble. He grew impatient and frustrated that I wouldn't raise my voice or meet his behavior. In conclusion: Find the tub you want and then buy online for cheaper. In the days of e-commerce, service is the only real differentiation. We've never had an issue with Amazon or Costco. Edit: To add to the wonderful experience - right after I posted these reviews, Lifestyle Outdoor actually took to my company customer service portal to post the attached. I haven't been "rude" to anyone. I haven't yelled, sworn, or really done anything except share the experience, all the truth, I've had with their business. Edit #2: Since I wrote this review, Jeff, the real owner, called me to try and bully me into taking down the review. I told him, calmly, as I yell at no one and don't swear (I live a very public life as seen as a business owner - I don't have time for this sort of thing) I'd be happy to remove the reviews once the Hot Tub was fixed four days later when we had scheduled a service call and had already given a credit card to pay for it. I don't have time for this stuff and don't want negative reviews up (as seen in my profile). He sent the attached email threatening me again. I just wanted them to fix the tub so I can move on somewhere else. His counter review, written today, is simply false. If I had to do it again, I'd just buy it online. I don't have any negative reviews about anything. I don't want to be involved in this. I'm tired of being bullied by these guys. I hope this is the end of it, but I doubt it will be. I'll never contact them or write anything about them again. If they continue to harass me in any way, I'll simply share it here. read more

I shopped around a little, but knew I wanted to get a high quality hot tub and LifeStyle Outdoor was the only place I got a good vibe from. READ ME So it seems the free interest to buy is simply a lure to got me to open a credit card at high interest 31% and you have to pay the balance in 12 months and make monthly payments during the year of 225$ on a 7k purchase! With 75% utilisation of the credit card guess what it did? I got tricked here- dropped my credit score 46 points BUT it gets worse.. Marc a sales rep there very sweet but ultimately you must be wary he shipped to my house a used floor unit at full price ( YES FULL PRICE! ) they sent me the floor model wich had been whirring for, gosh knows, how many months and kept the new one I ordered fir the showroom! there was no "misunderstanding " I never asked for a floor model and if i did id ask for 50% off !! lucky I was at home when they delivered and spotted it! The delivery charge was 300$ from thousand oaks to westlake!! The delivery charge is not on the shipping line in the invoice so I didn't see it ! Still haven't provided the steps which were free to be included still have second hand ones delivered with the floor unit !! I went to several other places first and got the complete run around and sales pitch. Once my wife and I walked into lifestyle and met Launa it was a perfect match. She listened to what our needs were and then presented us with a couple different options. She made sure we got delivery when we needed it and when I found out that it needed to be craned in she priced a few different places for us and gave us options. She even met the crane operator at our house to ensure it was done to our satisfaction. A couple weeks later a piece on the cover broke we called and Launa immediately had someone come out and repair at no charge. I will refer Launa and outdoor as much as I can. I'm so happy we decided to pull the trigger on a Jacuzzi. I was on the fence about buying a hot tub because I needed to demo my backyard to make it all work out. Marc really pulled though, not only did help us find the perfect fit, he also set us up with a contractor that redid a portion of our backyard for us and it turned out better than expected because the contractor, Henry, had a vision of how to renovate the area and make it family friendly. Marc was very pleasant and made the process smooth as silk. Marc was able to profile the Jacuzzi brand based off our needs and it turned out we preferred it over the Hot Springs because of the jets and how it contoured to our bodies. We wet tested on two occasions because we wanted to try another tub that wasn't filled on our first visit. Marc went out of his way to fill it so we could take it for a test drive. Ultimately, we needed something big enough to accommodate a family of 5 and provide physical therapy. The Jacuzzi J-470 fit the bill. The delivery went as planned too. The tub showed up right on time and everything met the project plan as we envisioned. Also, I wanted to add that a coworker that's had his hot tub for 10+ years and bought his Hot Springs from the other location and raved about Outdoor Living. He mentioned he ran into his first mechanical repair recently and it was a relatively inexpensive fix. I'm glad Outdoor Living found a home down the street from me in Thousand Oaks that made it very convenient to stop by. The other cool thing it seems like they're always open. They are there till 6pm which makes it easy to swing by if you work and in a pinch to grab supplies, which I saw on my last visit. Marc not only made sure he thoroughly understood the area where the Jacuzzi was to be placed but also every detail of our needs and desires. When challenges with our landscaping project forced a delay for the Jacuzzi delivery, Marc and Life Style Outdoor graciously granted an extension and delivered later with all considerations in mind. Once delivered, there was a problem with the access hatch to the electrical compartment. The delivery folks could not fix it, so they called and registered the issue. I purchased a HotSpring Prodigy from Mark in June 2016. Couldn't be happier with my tub. Mark was great to work with - he educated me from the beginning of the sales process all the way thru. He was very patient with me - I probably researched for 2 months and visited the store 4 times before finally pulling trigger. HotSpring is great brand and has operated flawlessly. The delivery process and setup/install outfit that was used was absolutely "first class". I had a concern regarding a leak and so had a service appointment and the gentlemen who came out was a real professional. Turned out it was just condensation from the cover running under the tub as a result of a slight slope on my patio. (I felt a little dumb but the tech didn't make me feel bad :)) During the sales process, I met the owner of the store and he was really helpful and I think he is a second generation owner and has his kids in the business. I felt good about purchasing from a local business and felt very comfortable with the brand, type and price of the spa I purchased. Once again, major kudos to Mark. I've been to the store for various supplies since purchasing the hot tub and Mark always talks to me and asks me how I'm enjoying the spa and if I'm having any issues or have any questions. My wife and I did a complete redo of our backyard and decided we wanted a whirlpool spa. I had seen Lifestyle several times on the way to my gym and decided to stop and see what they had to offer. I spoke with Arnie who took a lot of time explaining the different options and features available and what was involved from beginning to end (purchase, delivery and installation). I did a small amount of checking on line to compare the various lines they offered and their pricing, but I've always preferred working with local businesses. My wife and i went back and met with Jeff Claypool, the owner, and discovered that he also had a store in the SFV that had been open for some time. After spending some time with Jeff we settled on a Jacuzzi brand whirlpool. It was delivered as promised, on time and without a hitch. He told me he needed 36" to get the pool through our gate and I had 37.5", tight, but it made it! We used Oz Electric who was recommended by LifeStyle to hook up the electrical and also used Oz to do the electrical work on our BBQ island and outdoor lighting. The pool was installed in November and we did have some minor issues. Oz came out, no charge, and showed me how to drain the pool and insure proper maintenance. If you're looking for a new whirlpool I would not hesitate to contact LifeStyle. They are the best. Good service and good pricing. BTW, they are closed Mondays so be sure to pick another day to visit the store! read more
