Not only did they sand it beautifully, they removed the micro bevel as well because it never really looked clean. We were supposed to have it refinished the 6th through the 10th but when they called last Monday to see if they could start Tuesday, April 30th, we were so happy and definitely made it happen. The guys working for him are punctual and friendly and they do so much of the work by hand on their knees. My flooring goes on an angle to make the room look larger so that is not easy and requires extra work. The floor is now nice and flat and I can tell you, too, we had 3 estimates; one other gentleman was very nice and he measured the rooms using the laser as did Tom. Both of those guys said it would be 4 or 5 days to finish. The 3rd guy came in, didn't measure anything, looked around and said it could be done in 2 days for $3600!! Anyway, we loved how professional and precise Tom's quote was. Had I read these reviews first, I may not have gone with him but I am so happy I did choose Tom & Peter Flooring and seeing as these are older reviews, I am confident you, too, will be thrilled. Remember, sometimes things happen in peoples lives and maybe they couldn't respond timely.

The wrong wood had to then be removed, and the correct wood needed to be dropped off. Then rather than have us next in line to have our floors installed, which is what we would have liked in terms of customer service, they scheduled us another month out. This was terribly inconvenient because we had other home projects lined up with various cont based on the original timeline. Those projects are now all delayed as we await installation. Update: GWFC moved us up a week, so we're delayed three rather than four weeks. They also credited us $200. The floors themselves look terrific. The crew that worked on the floors were also very good.

Well sometime around then, some industrious craftsmen were sawing down oak trees, cutting them into planks and laying down the wood into my floor. So some 47,450 days later (that would be 68,320,000 minutes of steps, weather changes, barometric pressure dips, moving furniture, pets scratching etc, mopping, waxing, insects, new owners, joy, tears and changing seasons), the oak changed into patches of pine and polyurethane stains and here we are. We called in Vintage Flooring to remedy the planks that were cracked, where former patching jobs were failing, and to address the aging yellow stain. They came out quickly, presented us with a quote to replace planks and to replace the entire floor. We selected to replace the damaged section only. They started work but informed us that the floor was too damaged and the entire floor needed to be replaced. Entire process from start to finish was 4 days. Floor looks gorgeous. Minor deductions: change from sections of floor to entire floor (although they cautioned us) shoebase will have to be redone and I found a Budweiser can (empty) outside the room. Nicest floor in the house now. Spoiler alert: more work to come!
