I was looking to have the floors in my investment condo buffed and stained post tenant move out. Carlos was easily available via text and phone and after a few exchanges, we were able to agree to a fair price. Prior to the job, Carlos sent me a COI as needed by the building. On the day of, Carlos arrived promptly with another employee along with all the equipment and material. After showing him the problem areas, he assured me that the job would be done to my satisfaction and he certainly kept his word. I returned 4 hours later and although, I could only peep from the door, the floors looked great when I did finally enter the unit 3 days later (allowing plenty of time to let the oil dry). We primarily worked with Dave and he came through for us time and time again. I had a specific color scheme in mind and we needed options with a shorter lead time. He was able to help guide us to look at samples on hand for options that had local production or warehouses with supply on hand. This became even more clutch when we realized we needed more large format tiles than we initially calculated. He had it within days after making a couple calls and confirmed it was the same dye lot number! So many places want you to buy after looking at something online, but the colors are never accurate that way. This place had an immense assortment of display tiles and flooring so you know the exact color you will be getting! If you're working on any flooring or tile project I highly recommend Cobalt. The project was done a short time after and looked superb for a few months until the tiles started to crack and break off in a few spots. I called, and a repair was done. Shortly after we noticed several other areas where it was cracking and once again it was repaired. Dammed if it did not happen again and in some of the same areas. The foundation was not prepared correctly. That was the last time it was fixed, until several weeks ago, and another crew was sent out for repairs. Only it could not be repaired. This crew, a man and his wife, had 3 pieces, wrong color at that. He found nine places that needed repair. He called and talked to Kieth, only to find out this style was no longer manufactured. I talked to Kieth and was informed the floor was only guaranteed for 1 year. So here we are out over $5,000 with a crappy looking floor. This is BS, money is not easy to come by. I do not recommend this business, they are at fault. I had to replace the floor with another company with workmen that were diligent and did a beautiful job. Since the first visit when we talked about our desire to replace the stairs' carpet with wood panels to the completion of the project, we were impressed with Blake Latta's professionalism, attention to de and friendliness. He was on top of our project, scheduling deliveries and the installer. I would have liked to have a little more input on the color to match the rest of our floors, and that is on me. I was in a hurry to make the change "I had a strong dislike feeling towards the carpet". We are very happy with our the attention and the work Blake provided and extremely happy with our stairs. I would not use this company again. The salesperson told me the boards needed to be replaced and…read morequoted me for that work. When the installer team came out, they did not replace the boards and told me new boards were unnecessary. I was still charged for the board replacements anyway. I disputed this directly with the company on March 19th, the day of the installation, and did not receive a follow-up. I had to reach back out on March 31st to continue addressing the issue. At that point, they asked for photos, despite my earlier explanation that photos would not prove anything because of the nature of the work. Today, they responded by saying the pictures were "not proof" and agreed to issue a refund, but only after I pushed the issue. At that point, it's no longer just about the money. It's about integrity, poor internal communication, and how a legitimate customer concerns are handled by this business.
