Dr. Mallakis!! After sneaking up on the same tooth for about two years (people with sensitive teeth know what this is like), and getting zero relief from my former dentist (who kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the tooth), Dr. Mallakis fixed it! After numbing the area (I nearly jumped through the roof when he tried to examine it without novocaine), Dr. Mallakis immediately confirmed that a small part of the former filling had broken away, causing pain and sensitivity. It's heartbreaking that it only took a few shots of novocaine and about 30 mins to remove and replace the former filling (done poorly by my former dentist) because I suffered way too long with that tooth. Thank you Dr. Mallakis and team for believing me that something was not right about that tooth. My only regret is not coming to you sooner. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. McDonald for about a year now. I was referred by a colleague, I was impressed by the office staff's professionalism and kindness. They answered all my questions and made the new patient intake process go smoothly. The hygenists are very thorough and explained everything they were doing. They were very careful and understanding given my dental sensitivity. Dr. McDonald is amazing! I get anxious during procedures, she is patient and always takes the time to check on me to make sure I am comfortable. I am grateful for that. I've written a few reviews of my experience with Lifetime Smiles but had to do another one because I had such a great experience yesterday getting a crown. I was so anxious and really thinking I needed to be knocked unconscience for the procedure but my nervousness was sensed and immediately the team went into action to make me more comfortable. Heated massage chair, Bridesmaids movie and maybe more than a little numbing and I was in my own little world only tilting my head or opening/closing my mouth. I finished the movie just as we were doing the final touches and a wave of relief passed over me. Wow its done?! It was an old filling that the decay had spread to the two teeth on either side and in the middle Dr. MacDonald said let's fix the other 2 while I'm here so she did twice the work just to take advantage of the opportunity. I always feel like I am getting the best all around. Best treatment, best service, best environment. Also to note given our pandemic circumstances.. the most safety conscience above and beyond. Fantastic customer service from all the staff here - had an upper molar I had ignored too long that became unbearable. (infected) Got me in and out within hours and feeling so much better. Even followed up with a phone call later that evening to check and make sure all was well. I have been going to this dentist for the last 6 years, I've since recommended them to many family members and friends. This office is great, they are super friendly and professional. It's clean and cute inside and they always make sure you are comfortable during your cleaning. I'm the type of person that's easily freaked out by sounds and teeth scraping but my hygienist is always super gentle and and very attentive to my sensitive teeth. I've always felt well taken care of by the office, every member of the staff has been super kind and professional. I could not be more happy with the entire experience. The receptionists were incredibly kind and greeted me by name when I walked in. They had already checked on my insurance and were upfront about the cost since I had already reached my insured allotment of cleanings for the year ($97 for a cleaning, and they stuck to the price!). The hygienist and the dentist were extremely thorough and informative. Not only did I get a great cleaning with the most up to date technology, but I also had a full gum exam and cancer check! (Again, super cool new tech.) For once, I feel like dentistry may no longer be the painful and semi-barbaric scrape, poke and polish of yesteryears. I'm pleased to report that the professional whitening at Lifetime Smiles worked great and left my teeth feeling totally fine. (Maybe a little bit sensitive, but hardly noticeable.) I had a HORRIBLE experience with a previous dentist a few years ago and truly never wanted to go back to any dentist ever but I had some severe pain in one of my teeth and had no choice. I called and they got me in on the same day, figured out my problem (I needed my very first root canal ever) and scheduled me for the very next day for an appointment with a specialist. Everyone in the office was so sweet and helpful - Ellie, Tammy, Cynthia and Dr. Mallakis all made me feel comfortable and helped explain what was causing my pain and how they were going to fix it. Dear Dr. McDonald, I can appreciate your need to justify your high prices with passing your equipment costs along to your customers but when you add: 1.) Fee for cancellation prior to 48 hours 2.) Fee for dental records (1) visit 3.) Over billing insurance company (Billing at 50% instead of 80% for fillings) It's a little over the top! With the current inflation I would think that the trend is going to be for more and more customers to be more conscientious of pricing. You might want to consider having a meeting with your Office Manager to discuss your current fees. But if not, this is still AMERICA and that's what's great about COMPETITION! I called Lifetime Smiles yesterday- basically in a panic because my bbf's bridge disconnected!&?\#!!@?! She was upset, it's always inconvenient and stressful when an untimely dental issue happens-especially a bridge failing. I can relate, as I recently had a crown put in, but prior to the permanent procedure, my temporary kept coming out, ...I glued it back in threw times ...all was fine until that one day when I was eating sushi. Needless to say I thought there was a rock in my roll and then 'gulp!' : O Lifetime Smiles reception on the phone was extremely kind and welcoming. They made an appt. happen the very next morning (today) how accomodating! Even though my friend wasn't a patient, the gal on the phone said, " no problem, we don't want her walking around without a bridge... (aka: a space in her teeth!) So as I write this review, she is in the chair for the dental cementing procedure. Their waiting room is comfortable, and I am so happy my friend, who is my business partner as well, will be taken care of in advance of two meetings with clients we have for next week. So I am impressed with this office and it's personnel...I believe they now have a new patient going forward! read more

I loved this place after only going once! They were super friendly and helpful when I asked questions. However, I just called to try to reschedule an appointment I have tomorrow and they were going to charge me $150+ just to change the day. I had a very last minute change in plans and the best I could do was notify them 24 hours ahead. They require a 48 hour warning but be careful because you would have to call on Friday to count for Monday AND Tuesday. This is very inconvenient for single moms who work and need flexibility. Not sure I'll be returning after this appointment. Very disappointed. read more

I also love that they use this awesome machine that helps guide them when numbing you. It doesn't hurt and only numbs the area that needs it so your whole mouth isn't numb all day.
