Most say that the place is hard to find, but it is easy to follow on Apple Maps. Parking is plenty but you have to be lucky to get a spot because it can be pretty busy. I ordered the Bee Knees latte (hot) with oat milk and it was pretty good. it was not sweet as I thought it would be. I also ordered a vegan banana muffin. They have some small menu for food, but keep in mind the breads are never toasted and you should requested it toasted. The avocado toast that my friend got was not good because of the bread. Had few sips of Matcha and it was well balanced but I had my dirty chai w/ soy milk before trying the matcha so compared to chai, matcha was a lot more tamer. I throughly enjoyed my dirty chai. One of our all time favorite coffee shops world wide! Great ambiance, tucked away in a business park feels like a hidden gem when you walk in!! Such a great welcoming vibe. The staff is awesome and actually listens. After coming a few times, one of the baristas actually said " want your usual?!" I thought to myself wow they get it! They even have vegan pastry options which is super important for my family that has seriously dairy restrictions. Not only vegan but the muffins taste amazing if you do or don't do "cow". I've brought a few people here and every one said their matcha was one of the best they ever had had! I personally just want coffee pour over with out all the extra ( maybe a little honey for extra sweetness). Their coffee is top notch. Can definitely tell the quality. Doesn't ever get too loud and I love that they play holiday music during the holiday season. One of the best coffee shops I've been to, comparable to the best of Orange County and San Diego coffee shops. I HIGHLY recommend "The Grinch" ($6). A delicious and smooth matcha latte with cold foam and peppermint sprinkles. This drinks reminds me of the Green Thai Tea from Newport Beach's Seaside Bakery. Also ordered the vanilla latte sweetened, $5.75 with a student discount! I absolutely love this place and will definitely be stopping by again. Free wifi and outlets are compatible with USB and USB-C. Not many coffee shops have USB, and this is the first coffee shop I've been to with USB-C in outlets. Also, great service! That said, it looks like somewhat of a WeWork situation, and customer turnover is slow, so seating can get snuggly. The service is friendly; however, the process of getting your food or drink order is called out by item, and with the noise and small space, orders are easily unnoticed. Came here around 1:00PM on a Sunday which seemed to be super busy. Was hoping to order food but they said that they were closing their kitchen (which was odd being that their shop closes at 5:00PM). So opted for 2 beef Sambusas from the pastry case that totaled a little bit under $10. I was waiting for about 20 minutes when I had to remind the baristas about my order. The barista behind the counter said that he was going to pop them in and walk them out to me. Waited an additional 10 minutes and was prompted to ask because it seemed the baristas were making food for themselves and bringing it to the back. Had to go to the barista to ask for my order where he gave them to me. They were not that hot and kinda almost close to room temperature. Ambience is nice but overall service was not that good, would recommend the coffee but they seem to be lacking decent service in food preparation. read more

If I could've rate 0 stars I would. My coworkers & I ordered from here for the first time & a girl server told my coworker that 4/5 of our orders didn't go through. We sent & showed her our email receipt + our bank statement. Which first of all there was no need to go into showing my bank statement if the email provided the date, time & order number. The girls solution was to order AGAIN & dispute our order with our bank. Which I feel is unnecessary for ME to go through all that trouble when everything was good on my end. I arrived unsure of what I really wanted, sort of in the mood for something tea-forward, could be cold or warm - one of the baristas was very quick to recommend a London Fog, I was instantly caught up in the way she described it. Probably some of the best roasted coffee beans I have purchased, the Ethiopian coffee they have tastes more of a tea and is velvety smooth and light. This gem is one of those secrets I would like to keep but I have to share. I purchased some of their single origin beans to make lattes at home and they come out amazing! Something the area doesn't have is good coffee. We were in the area for 2 week down from Seattle. ( we have coffee). I was looking for a cute coffee shop with great coffee. We tried a few but was unimpressed. Then I looked up coffee roasters. Bingo. I hit the nail on the head. This place exceeds at coffee. It also according to my daughter has some of the best chai she's ever had. The barista was not only super helpful and full of good info, but his suggestions were on point. It was fun to bring home a couple bags for later. We picked up a chai on the first day of Med school for my daughter and the guy even wrote a sweet note on the cup. Now that is customer service. This coffee shop is a hidden gem in Riverside. Kind of in an obscure location, but cute none the less. We've been to the sister shop in Whittier, but love that we found one closer to home. Really dig the romantic vibe at the Riverside location. The subtle sound of jazz music playing in the background and the ambient lighting are a true treat. The coffee was fantastic! The lavender latte really blew me away. The barista was equally as friendly, and although she happened to skip one of the drinks on our order she made up for it by giving us a lemon muffin. The best coffee spots are always hidden! A year later, I am still a big fan of Lift Coffee Roasters! Almost every weekend when I'm in the area, I have to visit this spot just to get a caffeine fix. I've explored pretty much everything from the drink selection menu and my recommendations are an iced Mocha Latte w/ Oat Milk or hot Vanilla Latte w/ Oat Milk. On weekends, Lift has a weekend brunch that includes delicious brunch dishes from the morning through the afternoon. They also have a specialty drink menu ranging from 2-4 drinks that are exclusively for a certain time period. If you're coming to study or hangout here for a while, this place gives off a mellow, unwind type of vibe with dimmed lights and jazz music playing in the background. Yet, during certain times of the day, it can be packed with people, so plan accordingly. Another recommendation is to purchase a bag of coffee! I don't see how this place has any less than 5 stars. I was blown away with the ambiance, creativity, menu options and flavor of the coffee! It's like a speak easy but for coffee. It's in the middle of industrial offices and seems like it's going to be a hole in the wall but is a hidden gem when you walk inside. I had the macadamia coconut latte with oatmilk and OMG it was heaven! The pieces of actual coconut on top did it for me. This is a great place to sit and study too. Lots of seating and inviting space where you don't feel rushed to leave. They also have food options which I didn't try. I wished I lived closer because I would be a regular for sure. Tucked away in a more industrial end on Chicago, Lift is one of my go-to spots for the week. Friendly and open as a quiet, dimly lit study space, the shop feels like a cavern you could just escape into. The large doors as well open when needed, letting fresh air and light in, but the coffee and service are what are the main drivers for visiting. I get the avocado toast and cold brew when able, but the cookies are delicious, and I always find myself peeking at the bar to see what treats they have for the day. Give it a visit when you can. While the location is in fact on the same street as two coffee shops, Lift's vibe is something worth a visit. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop. I used to go to lift when it was on Central and wasn't crazy about the coffee or vibe there. I am not sure if this is the same place as the one on Central but this Lift is amazing. Great place to work, study or hangout and have coffee with friends. The woman that usually works in the morning (not sure if she's the owner) but always so kind and pleasant. My favorite drink since the holidays is the Ginger Latte with Oat milk.
