This is definitely the best shop for hot coffee in the downtown riverside area, it is located near some warehouses but there is plenty of parking around and easy to find. The coffee shop itself is very big inside and has a nice dark aesthetic with wood tables and plenty to sit. I will say it is at times hard to get seating but there are constantly people leaving or moving around so it is not impossible. A great place to enjoy a book , talk with friends, or study. Great coffee taste, not overly sweet, and it came with a cookie! In terms of the Chai Latte, while it had a good taste it was a little diluted in my opinion- it tasted more like milk and less like anything else. Overall, I would definitely come back for a latte. Ah, this is a great place for me to go to because it's the place where I meet every month for my book club. I love the drinks they have as they have options that don't have a lot of caffeine, which is great for someone who doesn't like caffeine like me. The staff is friendly, kind, and engaging. It's nice to be acknowledged as a human being in such an establishment when the world has somewhat become cold and cynical. Having a considerate staff helps with that overall vibe. Service here is consistently slow no matter what time I visit. I've been twice now, and both times I was told they "weren't doing food" because only one staff member was working. That's honestly unacceptable. If the place were slammed, maybe I'd understand but this was the middle of the morning on a Tuesday. The second visit was even worse. I was told they couldn't serve food because a coworker called out. At that point, I just left. I'm not going to support a business that can't operate consistently or handle basic staffing issues. Staff attitude hasn't been great either definitely not friendly and the prices are way too high for such a poor experience. Overall, it feels like a fake "cool" spot trying too hard to be trendy while completely failing at the basics: serving food and drinks efficiently and treating customers well. Came here on Mother's Day morning and was a bit disappointed... my friend ordered the carrot cake and was quickly handed a slice. I decided to order a blueberry muffin, but unfortunately it was not quite as quick. Once I placed my order I waited for about 10 minutes as the baristas made the other guests drinks. When I was about to ask if they had forgotten about the muffin, one of the baristas pulled it out of a fridge(?) and threw it in the warmer. Sadly, even after warming the muffin was still pretty cool. Flavor-wise, it was ok, but u would definitely look for an alternate spot in the future. I really always try to come here when I want a great cup of coffee. It's always consistently delicious and never tastes burnt. The only thing weird is they don't display prices on drinks which I feel is odd and another thing is that they charge $1 for you to get water in your refillable water bottle, which is crazy to me. I've been frequenting a lot of cafes in Riverside, and I decided to try one of Lift's Valentine's Day specialty coffees. The drink was a strawberry vanilla flavored matcha with almond milk; there's an optional $1 strawberry foam add-on as well but I didn't get it since my drink was already strawberry flavored. It was a painful purchase of $7.85, which I begrudgingly paid for but the drink somewhat made up for it. The drink was visually appealing with the layers of milk and matcha and had strawberry puree that added a refreshing nuance to the earthy and creamy drink. There were a lot of pastry options as well that I didn't get to try, but they did look quite delicious and I've heard high praise about the coffee cake here. The ambiance is also great, it's a quiet environment with a lot of UCR students (I'm guessing) that are doing work or studying. Lift is definitely a great place for beverages, but I can't I'll be coming here often because I can't really justify their price. I believe their regular beverage selection falls on the more affordable side, though! read more

Wish they had bigger sizes for sure, my Ban-offee latte was so so so good, paired it with one of their turkey sandwiches on Ciabatta. For how busy it was, their baristas got it to me as quick as they could. I just wish their bread was toasted (especially for my grand total of 22 dollars)!! I'm sure the sandwhich would have been so great if it was, but the ciabatta was so dry and scratchy that it almost felt like it sanded down my tastebuds. Essentially, it's kind of in the middle of nowhere, so you wouldn't come unless you knew about it. Ambience: Dark wooden tones with aesthetically antiquated and industrial decorations and lighting fixtures. Makes for a cozy atmosphere but wouldn't be a great spot for reading as it's dimly lit. There's a good amount of tables and seating available for both individuals and groups. Outlets aren't available at all tables, but there's a decent amount provided. Service: Great and friendly! Taste: I got the maple brown latte, which was quite lovely and not too sweet. Haven't tried their other options but came here with a couple friends and they all enjoyed their orders as well. Enjoyed this hidden coffee spot. Located near industrial and office buildings. The building has an open wall area that you can walk right in and order at the counter. Atmosphere is pretty chill and music isn't loud or obnoxious. Tried a regular black coffee and a cappuccino. Both had good flavor, not too bold or acidic. I went in yesterday for the first time. Such random spot, I thought I was in the wrong place, but once I got inside it was such a vibe. I just got some tea because I wasn't in a coffee mood, but I'll go for a coffee next time. The girls up at the front were nice and genuine, cute interior, fun music. The drinks are overpriced priced since it's all one size for iced drinks it's only 16 oz's and they already fill half the cup with ice, my matcha was watered down the service was good but it is pricey for just a quick grab and go. It was basically 9 dollars by just changing the milk, I do wish the size was bigger. The place it self was comfy and the music was nice. I got the everything bagel and it was a little tough but overall good flavor and pretty big for only $5.50. I just wish it could've come wish more cream cheese especially for the size. Just the coffee/tea is great, the service not so much. I've been here a few times when I'm in the area. First two times back in 2019, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Coming in now, not so much. Felt like I was interrupting them and was given kinda of an attitude. I ordered my drink (which was good) and sat off to the side as all the tables were filled. The next person came in, they were treated very differently as if they were a regular. Obviously I don't expect people to act like my best friend, but some kindness or simply being friendly wouldn't hurt.
