I love finding a new coffee place when I'm in new towns ... this coffee shop has unique coffee flavors and the location and ambience is lovely. I needed to fuel up on caffeine after I had a job interview, so I stopped by at Lighthouse Coffee. It was a little hectic finding this place as there is quite a bot of construction in that area. There is a parking lot and street parking available. From what I understand is that Lighthouse recently moved a couple doors down a couple months ago to accommodate their baker. Their new location is cozy with high chairs and tables, couch and bar counter with stools. The decorations and lights make me feel safe and at home. I was welcomed by the barista. The pastries looked delicious but decided to skip the sweets and stick to caffeine. Coffee drinks can be made iced,hot or blended.I ordered a small hot Caramilla. It was delicious. My hope is that construction will be complete come summer time so that I can enjoy outdoor seating with the lake view and a cup of coffee in hand. This is my favorite location! I love that it's right at the marina, so I typically always start my morning here and then walk the marina twice while enjoying my drink. Their white mocha or chai, are my favorites! Especially when the pumpkin chai is in season. Friendly employees, and quick service. I also love their breakfast, especially the quiche! I've been driving by Lighthouse Coffee shop for years. This morning, I decided to stop by after a doctor appt today. They have a drive thru, but I decided to go inside to check things out. Super cute little local coffee shop. From being greeted upon entry, the lovely atmosphere with lots of bakery & food options, and the amazing customer service from all employees. The locals were greeted by name when they entered- entire staff seemed to know several of the customers by name. The employees were all busy all of the time - while the cashier that took my order warmed up my burrito, another employee jumped in to start taking orders at the cash register. The breakfast burrito had great flavor and texture, complete with hot sauce! I couldn't resist a carrot cake cupcake with cream cheese frosting either! I've been here a few times to hang out and visit with dear friends and family members, and am always impressed with the atmosphere and delicious and intriguing variety of coffees and other beverages. The time I got to sample flavors of kombucha was memorable! The view is wonderful- mountains and the marina. Sunny day with sparkling water, or clouds rolling into the valley; always beautiful. This coffee shop can be difficult to find if you are driving here, but it's hard to miss if you are walking along the trail that circles the Sparks Marina! It is in a prime location with beautiful views of the marina and Mount Rose in the distance. I love sitting on their patio enjoying an iced drink on a sunny day! The patio has plenty of seating, plus I can bring my pup to the patio. I asked for a pup cup for him and of course he loved it! The inside is on the smaller side, so not a place I would come to do work. They have some great coffee and tea options, especially on their seasonal menus. Today I had the Iced Pumpkin Spice Chai and it was delicious! I've tried their canned iced coffee because I loved the idea of supporting something like this from a local spot, but I wasn't a fan. All the drinks I've ordered in store have been great though! This cute, themed coffee shop is located right along the sparks marina walking path, close to the Outlets side. We took are walk then stopped for a coffee and treat before heading to the outlets, it worked out perfectly. They had a decent selection of coffee and espresso drinks, and some gluten free and regular pastry type items. I picked out a rosemary and fig scone, which was a tad dry but nice sweet and savory flavor. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful and the place was nicely decorated. There was seating inside and a nice patio area as well, in which you look out at the marina while sipping away. I got the Iced Coconut latte, my wife got a Dirty Ginger Chai, and my mom got her usual cappuccino. Every one enjoyed their drinks and the atmosphere. I only wish it was closer to where I live because I would definitely go more often, however will keep this in the coffeehouse rotation for sure! read more

I really enjoy it here. I came to study and although it was loud, I was able to use my headphones to escape some of the noise. But the views & the coffee are both equally amazing! I had a dirty chai which was delicious & an iced matcha in which they made extremely well. It's small and quaint but perfect for quality time alone or with others. I love a nice coffee drink and I have recently had the experience of trying out Lighthouse. My brother raves about how they are one of the better places to meet for coffee. My first experience was a nice one. It was later in the day, so it was not busy at all. The menu was easy to read and understand. The prices were about the same as most other coffee places in town. What make this place a couple stars better than most coffee places I have been to is the friendly service you get when you walk in, several choices to choose from, they make the syrups homemade so it's not just an overly sweet, bottled syrup. It is very clean and comfortable inside or you can relax outside, and people watch while looking at the Marina. I usually order dairy free, so they have the oat milk or almond milk to choose from. The drinks are creamy and not bitter or overly sweet. My brother and I have decided that this will be our only choice now to meet for coffee. Next time I will bring my book and enjoy my drink in such a calm atmosphere. read more

The marina location is AWESOME. I wish it had been here when we lived nearby. Whether you want to work, relax with your coffee, or take it to go, this location is perfect. Lighthouse Coffee has become one of my go-to coffee spots in Reno. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, making it the perfect environment to get work done, or enjoy a cup of coffee. Inside, there is a comfy couch area near the entrance, a long bench area along the windows, and five other tables dispersed throughout their space. A display case of pastries and other bottled beverages greets you as you approach the counter to order. My favorite thing to get here is their vanilla chai. I've gone there somewhat regularly. It's a nice setting, and by now they should recognize me as a regular who always gets some thing. This last time and the time before within a few minutes of me sitting down one of the barista's comes up and asks me if I'm going to get some thing. I always do. Like I said they should recognize me by now. To not be trusted when they've seen me in there so often leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I think their "policy" has lost them a customer. read more

My wife and I have been frequent customers of the location on the Sparks Marina. Although they have a tendency to be completely slammed buddy, their staff is always friendly and responsive. This is by far my favorite Lighthouse Coffee location! You get a nice view of the marina, and it's so nice just coming here during your morning coffee run. Or just hanging out outside with friends. The chai tea latte has been my go too. It's not overly sweet and perfect amount of spice. My friend got their matcha latte, which was also good. The great thing about our book club is that we have meetings in all sorts of unusual places that I would have never gone to on my own. This weekend, it was held here in Sparks in a location I would have never guessed existed. It was wonderful to enjoy the gorgeous mountain views and on a beautiful Sunday morning, it was even more fun to watch so many people enjoying strolls with their dogs. I am not much for drinking coffee, so I had the hot chocolate because it was a tad bit windy and chilly. PLUS: Dog lovers will appreciate they offer "hitches" to leash your dog safely outside - while you order your drink, you can keep an eye out on the pooch through the big windows. read more

This is now my new favorite coffee spot. The location right on the Sparks Marina is beautiful plus dog friendly! The muffin I got was to die for. The breakfast sandwich was solid. The mango smoothie was indulgent and the latte was lovely. This is a family owned and run business. The father and son roast, the mother bakes, the daughter manages and the other son does the marketing and social media. How awesome is that?! I love this place!! I especially love that it is located right in the Sparks Marina. It means that I can first do a healthy 2 mile walk around the Marina, then reward myself with some delicious coffee and/or bagel/cream cheese and/or quiche of 4-5 different varieties. Then a few more hours of work supported by free wi-fi! Things of current note about this place(check the date of this post): 1. They will be temporarily out out of commission for a couple of weeks starting the first week of November, 2018 because they are remodeling the building they are in. But then they will be located on the opposite corner where they will be able to house their baker(which currently has to bake off site). 2. They have a second location in Sparks on Los Altos which is equally amazing sans Marina Park view. In sum, an amazing rare, local coffee spot in Sparks not to be missed! Good things about this coffee shop: 1) Right by the marina. You'd be surprised how big the marina is--enough to have boats and waves. If you're here in the wintertime, you can get a good view of the water and snow-capped mountains. 2) They serve some decent coffee drinks (read more below). 3) They serve beer! 4) It's clean with different types of seating (bar stools, long tables, patio furniture, etc.). 5) The lighting is great (lots of natural light comes in) and they play good music. 6) Awesome, fast, free wi-fi! Bad things about this coffee shop: 1) Did not have the siphon coffee maker available at the time I visited (please put up a sign or something or just don't have it on display to tease me). 2) The worker at the cash register didn't know anything about the coffee. On our vacation to Reno this was the only place we visited twice. They did no blink when I asked for a pour-over and had a good selection of pastries and bagels. The quiche menu was also pretty nice. I tried the oatmeal and my kids and wife got bagels. Everything tasted great especially the coffee. Super great Kenyan beans. The second trip was a bit more crowded and they actually took a while to get our food and drinks but it was not a terrible wait. The view of the local pond was very nice in the morning. The posted hours are 7 am to 3 pm but the store is locked and shuttered. Nice walk along the water, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.
