Some places sell pizza by the slice and I always have to get 2 cause 1 just doesn't quite cut it. The Lighthouse folks have got it right, though. A slice is actually 1/4 of a large pizza and comes in its own box with a side of their sweet dipping sauce. It's a thin crust pizza with a thick outer crust that I would ****(I'm writing this review in the drive through and the pizza was done by the time I got to this point) **** compare to Zio's but cheaper, faster and with better service. I got 3 slices (specialty, 3 toppings and 2 toppings) for under $20 in about 10 minutes. read more

We have been coming to lighthouse for years. Never have we encountered bad customer services until tonight. During ordering through the drive thru I asked for regular fries but tried to change my order to garlic Parmesan fries but the guy wasn't answering. So we pulled up and I told him right away I didn't want regular fries and wanted garlic Parmesan fries with two extra light house sauces. He closes the window and comes back and told me "sorry they are already made" and I asked him if they could make us garlic Parmesan fries. So he shuts the window and goes and talks to everyone standing there. About a couple minutes later someone else comes to the window and takes my card and hands me our food. We pull away and see that they infact gave us regular fries when we told them we did not want them. They also did not include the extra sauces. We went inside and the same lady that handed us our food was standing at there(she said she was the manager?). We told her what happened and she gave us our money back for the fries. Then I get Home and my custom pizza has no red sauce on it. Definitely sounds like this place is starting to go down hill. read more

Pretty decent pizzas, although a little on the oily side compared to other places I've been in the Omaha area (eg. Orsi's or Via Farina), so I would suggest takin a towel and dabbing it a little. I tried it for the first time today. You walk in and grab a clipboard to fill out the order form. They have many specialty pizzas, several kinds of "gourmet" fries, and side salads available. I built a custom pizza with their regular crust (they offer honey wheat), regular pizza sauce, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, onion, and tomatoes. The pizza was cooked and served to us in a matter of minutes. The slices are HUGE. They look like a quarter slice of a large pizza. The toppings were fresh, the crust was good and thin, and the sauce was tasty. I'll be back for more! read more

On a quick trip to Omaha, I stopped by Lighthouse. A few thoughts: 1. If you do not enjoy the garlic parmesan fries you should immediately drive to the hospital because something is clearly wrong with your tastebuds. 2. Look I've eaten a lot of pizza and LightHouse is unique. The slices are huge, the honey wheat dough is flavorful and the choice of toppings in unbeatable. I went on a whim late at night and only saw the reviews here a few weeks later. Ignore the negative ones and give Lighthouse a try. You will not regret it. Also the person I was with had a salad, they really liked the dressing. Said is was the best they've ever had but who gives a crap because you don't make friends with salad. read more

This is a great stop if you're in need of a quick lunch or light dinner. I say light, but some of those slices will definitely fill you up. I always grab the veggie slice because I like the pesto flavor on there, but O man, some of those other slices are still pretty scrumptious. You just have to pick up the whole slice and eat it as is, messy and all. It's a simple little diner that's close to the college campus, which is great for the students. And it sits in a plaza that stays busy all day long, all week long. Easy access to major intersections and it stays open until 3am some nights. It's not a fancy restaurant, so don't expect that. And that's a good thing! It's a community place, meant for everyone out and about, working hard, and on the run. The good: They're open late-ish and you can get drive-through pizza by the huge slice. The bad: Everything else. Seriously. I can be forgiving on places if their food tickles my pizza bone. Hell, I gave some place in La Vista three stars when it probably only deserves one. But I just straight up regretted spending money at Lighthouse. The pizza (we tried cheese, chicken with thai peanut sauce, hamburger and pesto varieties) was bland, over-cooked, and under-cheesed. The toppings were dry and made my pizza bone go flacid. The dipping sauce was... well I really don't know what the heck it was supposed to be, but I didn't like it. I hate to do this to a pizza place, and I genuinely hope I just went on a bad night and that whoever runs this place loves and knows his way around a pizza oven, but I just cannot justify anything more than a single star right now. In our crosshairs this time was Lighthouse Pizza located in a small strip mall just north of Pacific street at 74th. Their large, clean restaurant has plenty of seating, a number of flat screen televisions, a help yourself soda fountain, some of the coldest beer in Omaha and, wait for it, a drive-thru for those who just can't muster up the strength to park and walk across the parking lot. Oh and one more important bit that clearly caters to the college crowd at nearby UNO, they're open until 3am on Friday and Saturday nights. Lighthouse does things a little different than the other pizza joints. They serve caveman sized slices of pizza (each 1/4 of an 18" pie), which is great because they have so many specialty pizzas that you want to try them all. And just so you know, go can get whole pies there as well. Well we didn't get them all, but we did order four slices, which drew an odd look from the guy at the counter (since it was just me and The Pizza Wife) as well as a "Those are pretty big slices ya know?", to which I replied, "Don't worry about it. We're professionals." The menu for the night was a slice each of: BBQ Chicken (Roast Chicken, Bacon, Onions, BBQ Sauce), Mac and Cheese (Roast Chicken, Bacon, Macaroni, Alfredo Sauce), Thai Chicken (Roast Chicken, Carrots, Onions, Sweet Chili Sauce, Thai Peanut Sauce), and Vegetarian Pesto (Green Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Spinach, Basil Pesto Sauce). Oh and let's not forget, a few very cold beers. One additional note about the beers, they were only a buck. Not a buck plus tax. A buck all in. Nice! I don't know if that's an all day thing or just for happy hour, but it was a pleasant surprise. Regardless, The Pizza Wife nearly wept with joy. All of the slices were quickly prepared and delivered to our table on their own silver disk. Silverware (it's plastic) is available next to the soda fountain and guaranteed to break upon first use. UPDATE: The people have spoken and LH has listened! Silverware is real metal now! Lighthouse uses an infrared conveyor pizza oven, which is different than other conveyor ovens that use jets of hot air to bake the pie. They use fancy lasers or something in their oven that produces an extremely crispity, crunchity crust unlike anything we've tried before. The crust is a bit thicker than other New York stylish pizzas, and certainly stiffer which is good because of the size of the slices. The bad part in our opinion is that the crusts were a bit dry and definitely not chewy. We'll start here with our clear winner of the four pies we had: the Thai Chicken Pizza. It had the perfect amount of heat and great overall flavor. The combination of the roast chicken, carrots, onions, sweet chili sauce, and Thai peanut sauce was excpetional. We felt the Vegetarian Pesto Pizza's pesto had a bit too much garlic to it, which unfortunately overpowered the rest of the ingredients. You couldn't really taste the basil. On the plus side, the pesto sauce was not runny from too much oil like other places we've tried it. Another critique from The Pizza Wife was that there weren't near enough veggies. The lady loves her veggies and would have liked to see more. The BBQ Chicken Pizza was good, and it was my second favorite pie. It did, however, have quite a bit of sweet BBQ sauce on it, which again kinda overpowered the rest of the ingredients. I've found that less is more when it comes to BBQ pizzas. A little goes a long way. Still, having said that, it was good. I had high hopes for the Mac and Cheese Pizza, but we both came away from this one a little disappointed. We found the Alfredo sauce too bland. Of the three pies we had, this is the only one I wouldn't go back for seconds of. Overall we were impressed with the whole Lighthouse Pizza vibe. The place had plenty of seating, it was clean, the people working there were helpful, they have a great selection of specialty pizzas on their menu, and their crispy pizzas were good as well. If we're ever out cruising around the Aksarben area at 2am on a Friday or Saturday night, we'd certainly hit 'em up again and we suggest you do the same. It's really unfortunate that this place has received such negative reviews, because this is my favorite pizza place - ever. I would consider this to be NY style pizza. I've had a lot of pizza in NYC and none of it comes close to this. Usually with pizza, I'm satisfied with one thing (like the sauce) and not satisfied with another (like the crust). At Lighthouse, I love it all. Our pizzas have always been piping hot with the perfect amount of toppings. The crust actually has flavor and it has a nice crunch on the outside. We love the dipping sauce, too. We have tried the pesto and the regular tomato sauce. Both are delicious. I especially love getting pepperoni and cream cheese. We tried the poutine fries. They were okay, but too much gravy and a little too salty. This is definitely a really rich dish. I enjoyed it (because I like rich food), and my fiance thought it was TOO rich (what a weirdo!). The employees are friendly and personable and the restaurant is always clean. The only thing I don't like is that the lights are blinding inside. The feel of the place isn't very inviting. Pizza is a very personal preference. This just happens to be MY favorite :) read more

Home of the largest pizza slices in Omaha. They are actually a fourth of the pizza. I did not know it the first time I came here and I ordered 2 slices, big mistake. It is not my favorite place for pizza, but I keep coming back here for their poutine. It is cheese curds and brown gravy poured over french fries. Love, love, love this place! Their delicious pizza is available whole or as a huge single slice. I especially love the handcut fries. I would agree with some of the other reviews and say that the fries don't hold up as well on to-go orders. So if you are using door dash they may not be as great as when you get them dining in. Although the dining room closes at 10, the Drive thru is open later, and super late on the weekends for to go orders. So nice after a late concert! read more

I'll contribute my five-star review of this place right now. We went there last night on a lark. We weren't sure what we were in for, but we'd seen the signage while driving down Pacific street many times, so why not? First, we make a habit of not reading reviews until after we've dined. We like to go into a new experience with uncolored expectations. We did not read the reviews before our visit, and what we've read since our visit has enraged us. The people whining about "bland sauce" and "yucky cheese" would be better served by chain restaurant salted-tomato-paste on bread. Or better yet, the Honey Boo Boo favorite of Country Crock and catsup. Lighthouse delivers enormous pizzas with aplomb. The sauce is great, the toppings are ridiculously fresh, and the crust is flavorful. You will definitely be satisfied! read more

Have been here a few times and have never felt as though I didn't receive more than what I was expecting. Recently tried their macaroni pizza. It has macaroni & cheese, Alfredo sauce, bacon, and chicken as its toppings and I got it on the honey wheat bread. Delicious! Their fries are also really good, they are pretty standard fries, but they serve them with Parmesan cheese on them, and I just pour more on, such a great idea. On their menu you can either order standard pizza types with specified toppings, or create your own by selecting 5 toppings from their extensive list. Oh, and by the way their pizza slices are 1/4 of a large pizza, so you get alot to eat. By the way, the dipping sauce is amazing! Its some sort of Ranch and Sweet Chili concoction that comes with each slice and with fries. It is delicious and is great on any pizza and especially with the fries. Overall, I highly recommend trying Lighthouse Pizza. It is open super late (3AM) Mon-Sat so when you get that late night pizza craving, most likely Lighthouse will be open. It is also pretty cool that inside they have a bunch of pictures of the Omaha metro area with lighthouses Photoshopped into them. read more

Lighthouse Pizza - 1 slice - Pizza Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

My wife, another couple and I decided to try out Lighthouse Pizza based on several positive reviews we'd read. Needless to say, Lighthouse Pizza has done ALMOST everything necessary to garner universally high ratings. - Parking in the downtown area is a little bit of a pain, but the pay-for-your-spot parking lot on the opposite side of the street is an OK option - The layout of the restaurant is odd. Long dining areas and a long covered patio are what make it up. The staff was friendly and mostly helpful, not overly attentive nor informed, but adequate. - At the time of our visit, the brick+mortar menus were more explicit than the online ones and lacked a description of how the beer/wine bar is supposed to function (More on that later) but I believe they've synched up those menus up. - We looked over/decided from our menus, ordered and received our pizza in a very reasonable amount of time. Received our pizzas and were surprised how large they were (22"). They looked and tasted delicious. Nothing out of this world, but very good pizza, and for the price, a VERY outstanding value! One might THINK $23 for a pizza is spendy, but will think twice after seeing how large they are and how perfectly done the crusts are! Here's where LHP could use a little improvement. They employ a beer/wine dispensing system that is based on pours and ounces. You rent a token that's loaded with your beverage order. Go to the bar, place the token on the desired beverage, wait until the tap handle base lights up, then pour your allotted 32 oz of beverage. The problem with that -- if the first portion of your beverage is primarily foam (in the case of beer) the system counts that foam the same as if you were receiving 100% beverage. And, if you let the tap handle go, it sometimes takes a while for the system to figure out what the hell you are trying to do. Sum up to say, that while we were shorted a small amount of beer (due to the aforementioned 'foam issues') the staff adjusted our billo to reflect the glitchy nature of the system. Hopefully they can get this fixed ASAP. TLDR: LHP is an unbelievably great value when it comes to pizzaria pizza. The delicious, 22" pizzas are a great value and if you do the math, are even cheaper than the considerably less delicious, "other guy's" pizzas in town. read more

Gave it another try after a bad first experience and glad I did. Everything from the dipping sauce to the pizza was on-point. The pepperoni and hamburger was loaded with flavor. And the crust was so fluffy and amazing too. I was very impressed this time around. Great job on the service as well! Very helpful to my friend who joined me as it was his first time. Where to even begin. Lighthouse is amazing. 1. The menu is so nice. You fill out little checkmarks for what you want (think Whichwich, kind of). 2. The pizza is amazing and there are tons of topping/drizzle choices (I recommend buffalo sauce and chicken). 3. The garlic parmesan fries are incredible. 4. Lighthouse sauce? I'd bathe in it. It's amazing for dipping the pizza crust and the fries. Not to mention they also give a nice discount for Firstdata employees (which I am)! :D And they have a drive-through and are open until 3AM on Friday and Saturday nights! read more

Went through the drive through late Saturday night. Service was awesome! Cashier guy was very friendly! The wait was a good 15-20 minutes which is duh! Very understandable. Now I have to say this visit wasn't fully appreciated because I was suffering from wisdom teeth issues at the time... But! That's besides the point! Also didn't stop me from slowly devouring the very yummy sausage, pepperoni, mushroom pizza! Which was huge & delicious. Also a side order of fries which came with some white sauce with a hint of sweetness to it, but was good. Wish the side order of fries was a little bigger. Price was great considering the size of the pizza. So all in all, Lighthouse Pizza will Definitely be getting another visit from me. When my mouth is back in tip top shape of course lol! read more

Pizza is great but what's the point of ordering ahead when you are going to wait in line for 30+ min. Their menu is built up off of fries and pizza, sitting for a period of time the items get soggy, grows, and not even wroth anything. On the day that push me over the edge, I found that their prices were up prior to the CWS. They have a drive-true, so thus you can order a pizza and they will have you sit there at the window while your order is being made, even though the people behind you may have ordered ahead of time, like I did. Poor service as well. Went in front of the line to pick my order up, (thinking I would not have to wait for people that have yet to order), a guy behind the counter snapped that I had to get in line, which was out the door, and then he resumed filling drinks! But yet I could see my pizza sitting there in the hot box. I got in line just to tell them that I will not be picking up the pizza that I ordered and told them reasons why. (20 min wait) A different gentleman asked if there was anything he could do to make the situation right, and I replied with a different service structure, it was the right thing to do but it was after the damaged was done. Stupid me waited way too long to try this place. I've ordered online a couple times for takeout as well as in person, and each time the pizza's been perfect. They're not kidding when they say the slices are big -- each one is roughly 1/4th of a medium pizza. My go-to orders are the Thai and BBQ Chicken, which has a little heat. The parm/garlic fries are absolutely symphonic, as others have said, and the side salads are generous. Love this place. read more

Fix the ordering to go online. Not sure why you give it as an option when you still have to wait in the drive thru. Food is just getting cold. Went here on a Friday night with a friend of mine. It's in a nondescript strip mall; I've actually passed a few times and never noticed it. That said, it was decent experience. What they give you is really big slices (just order one) and you tailor the slice to your likings. Pizza is not my absolute favorite, but decent. When we came to the counter with our orders (you fill out a sheet), the chick at the counter wasn't super friendly at first (she gave us kind of a "cranky teenager at Wendy's" stinkeye). But the dudes in the kitchen and around, were friendly. You seat yourself, and there were clean tables and a few tvs. Seems family friendly. It was a bit loud in there, between the tvs and the music playing. My friend and I ordered the honey wheat crust and it was good. Pizza wasn't fancy, but the slice was filling and not greasy. They give you some orangey sauce (think of a spicy version of the sauce you get on big macs) with the pizza and the fries, and honestly, it's gross. I have no idea why they give you so much of it. Mercifully, it's not on your pizza, just on the side. Pro tip: You can ask for a side of marinara instead of this sauce. We did. It was better with the fries and pizza. We also ordered fries. They had a few fry options, we had the parmesan fries, and again, they gave us some of that odd orange sauce. The fries were pretty good., and not a bad price. Between the fries and the honking slice of pizza, I left pretty full. While we were sitting down, one of the guys and Ol' Stinkeye stopped by to check on us as they were cleaning up. This place had been on my list for a long time. My son suggested we go here when I was in town for the holidays. The dining room consists of low and high tables. However, there is a note by the cash register indicating the fragility of the chairs at the low tables. If you are over 250, they can not guarantee the chairs will hold you up. Um. Ok. Nice. We sat at the high tables so we didn't risk falling to the ground. We started with some fries, which I enjoyed. We got the basic sea salt, but they do have other more adventurous options. We also opted for a whole pizza so my son could take the leftovers. The great thing here is you can order a giant slice and everyone can get what they want. The crust is really good. It was chewy and had good flavor. Their lighthouse sauce was just ok. It was too runny and I'm not quite sure what the flavor is they were going for. They have a punch card and Tuesday is double punch day! I would come here again if I was looking for good pizza. read more
