Ordered a track light. Apparently it was a "special order" and is subject to a 25% "restocking fee", even though the person I spoke to on the phone assured me it was returnable. We got great service and an education as we were looking for outdoor lighting. We learned about lumens and the different levels of brightness. Some bulbs were built in and when they burn out would need to be changed by an electrician. Others have bulbs that we can change and adjust the lumens. Thank you , Tony. They had many choices for us to choose from. Lightstyles is not anywhere close to Lamps Plus in choices, quality and price. You get what you pay for. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Lightstyles. I called multiple times for an update on my order and kept getting the runaround with no clear resolution. When I finally called to cancel, I was repeatedly put on hold and had to hang up and call back several times before reaching someone. When I finally spoke with Nathan (who claimed to be the manager), I tried to explain the situation but was constantly interrupted. He said, "I see you've called various times -- I'll get to you when I can, I have a lot of customers at the store," in a very dismissive tone. When I asked to speak to a manager, he said he was the manager and then put me on hold. A minute later, he came back on the line only to tell me I might be charged a restocking fee for a fixture that was supposed to arrive November 4th but came in damaged -- something no one from their team ever bothered to notify me about. I had to keep calling just to get any information, and it was frustrating to receive no answers after spending over $1,000 on a light fixture. Fortunately, Nathan later called me back and explained that Wayne, the original salesperson who helped me, had provided incorrect information. Nathan took the time to clarify everything and ensured I received a full refund. I appreciated his honesty and effort to make things right. While I'm grateful for Nathan's follow-up, the overall experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Lightstyles needs to improve their communication and customer service. Very good staff, knowledgeable and easy to speak with. For someone who loves good lighting and aesthetics such as myself, total 5 star! I told them today I would yelp them as "light porn!" They are that good! Huge browsable displays, good product knowledge and inventory. I really appreciate in-person stores like this because sometimes you have internet glasses on and get cheap crap foreign made and breaks in 2 months. read more

He gave me the best customer service I've ever had when it comes to figuring out an old light fixture with new current LED bulbs. Phenomenal help. Slow service and very low in stock. The store is very nice with so many lovely fixtures but when asked for several fixtures all but one was in stock. When I asked what they do have in stock the service lady seemed bothered. I hope this review helps the team step up their service so they can improve!! High pressure sales , they don't pay attention to what they are selling you. So then you have to come back and return items, when you go to return items, they treat you poorly and act irritated with the return. I also double checked hours before coming to the store on a Saturday morning, which said they opened at 9 AM once I got to the store it said 9:30 AM there's were a line of people waiting outside. at 9:30 when they opened, I let them know they should update their hours. The woman basically said it doesn't matter. I've told them numerous times and they don't update it so basically they don't care. Also wasted 40 minutes of my Saturday morning, waiting for them to open because I've already driven all the way over here. read more

Shout out to Wayne at Lightstyles. I had a few oddball (I thought) lightbulbs from landscape lighting that I could not find a match for. A local lamp store just got ones that were close, and online I couldn't make heads or tails of the lamps they had...plus they were nearly $30 each. Went into Lightstyles, handed over the bulbs, and Wayne had them on the counter for me in less than a minute...and substantially less than $30 each. These guys are awesome. read more

I've bought 3 light fixtures here --- one for the dining room and two for the bathrooms. All 3 of them were reasonably priced, well styled and good quality. All 3 of them were installed in my home on two separate occasions by the Lightstyles electrician, Bernie. Bernie is phenomenal! Super professional, very nice, a great electrician! One of the light fixture installations, in my dining room, was a challenge because of the height of the ceiling. But he did a great job installing it. The other staff at Lightstyles I dealt with during the purchasing process were also very nice. I'll definitely shop here again even though it's a long drive for me to get there. read more

Maybe bad timing, but they dragged me out for 2 weeks on a light that I had on order. First, they said the PO wasn't processed, then I had to follow up, finally, I was told that the light was on back order and I won't be getting it until November. Supervisors never called me back, neither did the sales rep I was working with. My advice to future shoppers, you have to call them if you wanted answers. Everyone gives a different answer. I wanted to support my local business but ended up buying online due to availability, convenience, and price. I won't be making any large purchases here, sadly. read more

Today was my first experience in using Lightstyles and I am sold! I will be returning and referring them to everyone looking for their lighting needs. I spoke with Wayne on the phone and explained that I was changing out my halogen recessed lights to LED. Wayne offered to have me text my pictures showing what I needed so he could find me the perfect size and solution. He also texted back pictures of what to purchase and the price before I purchased them. Afterwards, he made sure I was happy with the completed project. Now that is customer service at its best! Had a very satisfying experience with this business and a consultant named Derrick. He was so helpful in helping me replace the light kit on a fan I had purchased there 5 years ago! He walked me thru how to do it and even got out a ladder and showed me how to do it with a fan like mine! It was amazing that he took the time. I took the new light kit home and still had to call him once and send a pic to make sure we did it right! He was just great. We have light again in the bedroom!, thanks Derrick. Went to Lightstyles todaty with my list: 3 flushmount ceiling lights, chrome. 1 over counter 3 light fixture chrome and shaded glass and 1 over the counter 2 light fixture chrome and shaded glass. 1 chandelier black and glass. I'm sorry that I apparently didn't look wealthy enough but with 4-5 people at the counter not one person spoke to me or even looked up and I looked at all lighting from one end of the store to the other. read more

We have older models of (Minka Aire) fans, circa 2003ish and was in need of replacement parts. This location was highly recommended through a simple Google search. Wayne helped me out with such patience and made sure I was taken care of. After a couple of return trips bc the manufacturer sent Lightstyles the wrong parts, the fans have been repaired successfully! I would totally recommend this store for their knowledgeable and caring staff. Also, when it comes time to change and retrofit our own lighting, I know where to go. They always have the most unusual bulbs here that you need. We went yesterday to buy a freezer bulb. Before he showed us the bulbs he tested it and the bulb worked! He said condensation would cause it not to work. No purchase necessary! He could've easy just sold us a bulb. read more

This review has been percolating in my mind for a while. The first time in the store was toward the end of June.. I needed a ceiling mounted fixture for my galley kitchen. This was the store to go to. The selection here is so varied and interesting.. a sales associate helped me right away and she helped me to narrow down and finally figure out what would suit my taste and needs. I took photos of my selection and then The purchase was made, but it would take two weeks because of the upcoming holiday. Two weeks later I returned to the store and a man looked up the order and was surprised that it hadn't even been shipped yet. He would check further into it and get back to me. Later that day the woman whom I made the purchase with left a phone message for me and basically was gaslighting me and said that they would call when it arrived. The beginning of August I got that call. I go in, pick it up and the sales man was just as sweet as can be. When I got it home I set it aside because we needed to put in cabinets before the lighting. A week later I open up the box and realize this wasn't the fixture I had chosen. My husband really liked it though. So I go back to the store and found the one I had wanted hanging in the same spot, but this time I saw the price tag whereas I hadn't before ( the female associate had quoted me $200). It turns out to be over twice as much. I couldn't even find a floor sample of the one I bought but did find it on their website. While I was checking this out, no one ever greeted me, let alone offer any assistance. I went home with the fixture and will install it, but probably won't be back. I wanted to let them know what had happened, but figured if they didn't have time for me on my last visit I would let them know on this format and the sales lady would have come up with some goofy excuse. She certainly didn't bother to apologize for the delay. read more
