If you are looking for a chandelier, you came to the right spot. Store is unkept with many displays not working. Very little selection of table lamps. The store is large but not a good shopping experience since it appears no one has updated anything for years. I was told walking in that disregard the pricing marked, most items are 80% off. But when asking about a price, that was not the case. They are only open for only 7 hours a day, limited inventory and a messy unkept store. Once a wonderful store is now just a wasteland of its former self. I will not be back. read more

Wow, I read all these reviews about poor customer service, but our experience was great. The selection was extensive, and when nothing matched what we were looking for, Maggie was actually very nice and helpful and identifying a light from a catalog that matched our preferences. The wait time for arrival was short and as an added bonus, when we were there to pick up our order, we found another light on display and got it as well. When we found out that there were a few parts missing, we got help from victor's and got them sent over promptly from the manufacturer. Now we have two lights that we like at a good price. We came up from San Diego County, after looking for something we like and is also priced right, and happy we did so. Overall, two thumbs up to Maggie and Steve. We are happy customers. read more

The largest showroom of lights I've ever seen under one roof. Utterly amazing! I've been searching for the perfect entry way chandelier for many years. Started at Lowe's and Home Depot. Laughable. Found Lamps Plus. Nice selection online but small store, small showroom. Even pop into small shops here and there when I'm out of town. After I left iCrack in Orange . . . getting an iPad fixed . . . I saw Victor's. They share a parking lot. Walked in and felt enveloped by coziness and ease. Nice greeting from people at front desk. Told them I was just looking, I'd browse at will while they helped customers making purchases. Their chandeliers range in price from $100 to thousands of dollars. I gazed at fixtures of every size, shape, configuration imaginable; from ornate to modern to old world influences. Since I've been actively searching I was familiar with what's on the market, but only from Internet sites. To actually see many of the chandeliers I've only glimpsed digitally took my breath away. Lit up they're far lovelier than a picture can capture. Haven't found the perfect fixture yet, but I'm patient, and I'll definitely go back to check Victor's for new arrivals. I'm confident that if I can't find it on Victor's 1134 online pages the perfect fixture for me hasn't been made . . . yet. read more

My review is going to be sadly too familiar to all the other reviews about Victor's Lighting. They do have a great selection, but the customer service is so bad that I wish I never stepped foot in this establishment. My wife and I purchased a hanging lamp in the middle of March. They told me it would be about two weeks when it would arrive at the store. 2 weeks pass, then 3, then 4. They are unable to tell me when it would arrive, and this was after multiple times of me calling in, and not receiving a call back after they stated they would check with the manufacturer and call me back. 5 weeks later they state that delivery would be MID JUNE... not two weeks later but 3 months!!! No explanation as to why. Here we are 3 months later, and I call in asking the status update. The person answering the phone could only say it will arrive "Soon." No apology, no statement that they will look into it, just "Soon." After me asking if they could check, the clerk reluctantly said he would call me back. 1 week later, and NO CALL BACK. Avoid this place at all costs!!! read more

I'm surprised that i'm only the 2nd person to review this place; it's been in business for 55 years and (they say) it's the biggest lighting store in Orange County. I came here for first time and bought a really awesome table lamp. The lady who works here was really helpful and took me around the whole store to help me find a lamp, contrary to my last two visits to Lamps Plus where I didn't even get a simple "hello". The outside is lackluster and somewhat hidden but it's a really great store. Kind of pricey but high quality and they have a lot of sales. read more

I will admit that they have a beautiful showroom with great products, too bad their management is complete crap. To be fair my mom is a difficult person sometimes and she was trying to hackle, but treating us like we were dirt was inexcusable and I hope they get their attitudes in check especially the dips*** manager. We ended up buying 2 large crystal chandeliers and 3 pendulum fixtures here and they were very expensive but you can tell that the quality was there. Our initial salesman, did try to give us the best deal, unfortunately my mom is a hard negotiator being Asian and all. When asking for a better deal, manager gave us dirty looks and kept on sighing. We came here multiple times since it's a big investment for our new home. what really pushed my buttons was that the manager told the salesman to not sell us anything if we try to negotiate. Well f*** you too, asshole, I'm not going to smooch your ass like some of your other customers and by the way, you opened the negotiation by trying to offer us "the best deal." We still got the price we wanted no thanks to him, the salesman felt bad. Also turns out that the 3 pendulum fixture weren't the best quality because of the wiring. Great... No electrician wanted to risk messing up the expensive fixture. Hope you use the money you made from us to get some lessons in customer service, jackass. Glad that I found Victor's Lighting. I came here looking for a ceiling fan and wall lamps for our outdoor patio project. They have large showroom with a good selection. We eventually found our final products by going through the manufacturer catalogs at their front counter. Steve was the person helping us. He was great in answering our product and design questions, and giving us a great price for our selection. We had one hiccup when the ceiling fan arrived and it was the wrong color. Steve was apologetic and promptly had the correct item shipped out. Situations like these tend to show how a business will respond to a problem, and I was pleased how it was handled. Still pricey even though it has its going out of business. I went with my sister because it had been recommended by friends and neighbor. They do have a pretty good selection but not anymore than Lamps Plus or perhaps other specialty stores. Steve owner/manager not sure was very kind however the rest of his staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. One of the female employees realized I was exchanging a light and rolled her eyes and used the F word. Not realizing that my friend was watching her the entire time!! Unfortunately my friend waited to tell me. I would have loved to address the attitude right then and there. Based on my experience, even if they weren't closing, I would never go back! read more

All I have to say is that I was treated with the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. When I asked them questions they were rude and short!! I was looking for a light kit and once I said it was for a Hampton Bay fan they dismissed me like my money wasn't good. They just through their hand up and said "GO TO HOME DEPOT ". He could of simply said "I'm sorry but we don't sell that brand but maybe I can sell you one of my celling fans." Which they had very nice options. I rather give Home Depot my money!! Fantastic selection outstanding customer service this is a real gem just off the 57fwy and Chapman. From the minute I called Steve really took care of me. After I purchased the fan i had a technical question and Steve really came through I even got a call back later that afternoon to see how the fan installation went. Their wide variety & selection of lighting is great, but the customer service is horribly lacking. I needed to order a part for our lighting...I waited at the check out counter for over 20 minutes...and this was on a weekday when there was only 1 customer in the store. I was told they would cal me back once they found the part needed and the cost. NO call back until I called 2 wks later. Once part was ordered and came in....still no call to let me know. I called AGAIN and was told, "Yea, your part arrived last Friday." Ummmm....do you think you might want to call and let me know that?? Worst C/S. But I do give them 2 stars for the inventory. This place may have big inventory. However, one staff member and store manager is very rude. They delivered incorrect order and charging restocking fees on return. Nice way to earn money...!!! Store manager has strange policy that we should deal only with the agent that sold us the items and not to come to store if that agent is on leave. Why would someone buy from this store even if they have big inventory? I think Lamps Plus and other place have better products and better customer service. Just moved to Orange and discovered the house I bought has no ceiling lighting! The former owners had lamps, which they took with them, leaving us in the dark. I've visited Victor's for some of our lighting needs and I totally love this place. My husband bought a cool tiffany lamp for his office. Aaron came over to our house one evening after work and installed a crystal chandelier for us. He worked faster and was more reasonably priced than any of the electricians we got quotes from. Impressive selection in showroom. We looked first at Home Depot, Lowes and then Lamps Plus before and by far this place had much more to choose from in the store. Naz, the store manager was very helpful in helping us to choose the right pendant light for our entry room. He even asked us the dimensions and we also had brought with us a picture of the room. He then helped us narrow down some choices in the store that went with our decor and price range. Price was also much better here than Lamps plus for all the same styles. Highly recommend! read more
